A modern anniversary card

Okay, I got my *rse into gear and made this modern anniversary card for a very modern couple I know using those gorgeous SugarPea Designs goodies!  Here it is...

The best thing was that this CAS card only took 20 minutes to put together.  I simply used the SugarCuts Notched Heart Journal Card die, a sentiment from the Special Delivery stamp set and finished it off with a couple of the heart dies from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

Don't forget (like I did!) that the new SugarPea Designs challenge with the theme of anything goes started yesterday.

I'm off now but I will see you again on Friday - ta ta for now!

Day 2 of sneak peeks of the SugarPea Designs March release!

It's day two of the SugarPea Designs new release for March  and today we are showing two new stamp set called Picture Perfect and Hashtag Hipster.  Here's what I created with the Hashtag Hipster set...

This was such a fun stamp set to use!  I have plenty of friends this would suit - either for an engagement or anniversary card.  And the great thing is that this set is this month's Sweet Incentive stamp set - get it for free if you spend $60 or more!  I also used the Build-A-Background Basics border stamp - love those dinky sweet lickle hearts!

Would you like to win this set?  Well just join the hop and leave a comment on this post and on each of the talented SugarPea Designers shown below and you could WIN!  We will chose one lucky person to WIN the Picture Perfect stamp set from the comments left here and on the DT Blogs!  All winners during our March Product Release will be announced on Sunday, March 15th.

Our entire March Product Release will be available for purchase in the SugarPea Designs Store on Friday, March 13th at 6:00 PM EST!

I'll be back tomorrow with day three of the sneak peeks!

Shake your thang!

There's a new monthly themed challenge starting today over at SugarPea Designs and this time the theme is Shake That Thing - yep, we want to see those shaker cards!  Yep, they're very trendy at the moment and so much fun to make that I hope you will join us!  Here is my DT make...

I really enjoyed making this card!  It can be used for any soppy occasion like engagements and weddings, but I think I will use it for an anniversary card.

I first die cut a fishtail strip of cardstock and then lined up the heart strip die from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.  I then glued a piece of acetate to the back and then used foam strips around each heart.  I filled each heart with Amercian Crafts glitter along with various sized smaller hearts from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.  I then glued a piece of silver mirri cardstock behind the hearts.  The hearts surrounding this are from the SugarCuts Notched Heart Journal Card die which I stuck on with foam pads to give some more depth.  Lastly, I die cut the arrows from the SugarCuts SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set with some more silver mirri cardstock and stuck these on with some more foam pads.

Here's a closer look at the shaker hearts...

Remember that you don't need to use SugarPea Designs goodies for this challenge but if you the prize will be bigger - instead of $10, the Gift Certificate will be $15!

Visit the SugarPea Designs blog to get more shakey inspiration.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Docrafts DT post so see you then!

Luuuuurve!

Hi everybody!  Thank you for visiting me today.  I'm sharing an early Valentine's card that I've made for my husband.  As my regular visitors will know, my husband isn't very impressed with my cards, especially if they are cute (my usual style!) but I think he'll like this one as it doesn't have a cute image in sight!

Now I just couldn't photograph this card very well - it looks much better in real life!  I die cut the pink card with DCWV glitter cardstock and used lots of foam pads for depth.  I used dies from the SugarPea Designs SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set and the polka dot paper is by Doodlebug.  Take a closer look at this gorgeous die set...

And here's a closer look at the glitter cardstock...

Well, we'll have to wait and see if he likes it!  In the meantime, I'll be back later in the week with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts - see you then!

Beautiful butterflies

It's La-La Land Crafts inspiration time!  Well, every day it's inspiration time over at the La-La Land Crafts blog and this week we had the theme of making our own embellishments.  I thought I would showcase one of the gorgeous butterflies from the Butterfly Set 1 die on a wedding card...

I used shimmer cardstock for the butterfly and made the flowers with a rolled flower die.  La-La Land Crafts has three lovely rolled flowers dies in large and small and medium sizes.  I used papers from the Eau de Nil 6" x 6" paper pad and Eau de Nil Self Adhesive Crochet Border.  The sentiment is from the Lili of the Valley Simply Sophisticated set.

Check out more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  I will be back on the weekend with my Lili of the Valley DT posts.  ttfn!

An anniversary card

Hello everyone!  Very quickly popping in to show you an anniversary card I made using goodies from the docrafts Eau De Nil collection -

Such an elegant collection and this will be perfect for my in-laws.  I used the Eau de Nil 6" x 6" paper pad and Eau de Nil Pin Wheels.  For the border, I used two sides of a square lace sheet from the Eau de Nil Lace Papers.  The sentiment is from the Lili of the Valley Simply Sophisticated set.

I'll be back tomorrow with my Whimsie Doodle DT post - ttfn!

Inside and out!

Hi everyone!  I'm popping in to share my There She Goes Trendsetter card...

Oh this really is one of my all time favourite stamp sets by Torico!  It's called Puppy Love and as you can see I've simply decorated the inside too with the matching accessory stamps included in the set.

You've still got time to join in with this week's challenge which is to decorate the inside of your card.  Check out the Trendsetter inspiration here and all the deets on how to win!

I'm off now but I'll be back later with my Bellarific Babe post!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Just quickly popping in to share the anniversary card I made for my dearest hubby Steve.  We have been together for 16 years and married for 6 of those.  The time has flown by but it also feels like I've never been without him too!  So we will be spending today decorating (yeah, not that romantic!) but we have a table booked at a fab restaurant this evening so something to reward ourselves!

Most of my regulars may remember that Steve doesn't really get my cardmaking - why spend so much money on it when you can buy a good quality card from the shops for less than £2 nowadays?!  Hmmmm, he just doesn't appreciate my creativity!  Anyhoo, here it the card...

I don't know if he'll like it but it will have to do!  So, thanks for visiting me and I'll see you later on my blog rounds tomorrow cos I'll be a bit busy tonight ;)

Ooops, but better late than never - it's Bellarific Friday!

(Please scroll down for my There She Goes new release post!)

I am such a doughnut.  I had my card already for today's Bellarific Friday but I forgot to photograph it or even write this post for it!  Thank goodness Em sent me a sweet reminder!  So, without further ado, here is my Bellarific Babe card and this week the theme was BLING!

Okay, I hear you saying "where's the bling?" but it is there!  I don't use a lot of glitter usually but I did dot a lot of Glamour Dust on the umbrella, her clothes trim and the flowers - if you don't believe me, take a closer look here...

Yes, well, it's still not showing up well on this one either!  Hey ho, you'll just have to take my word for it!  I used Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan Under the Umbrella - don't cha just love that soppy sentiment that comes with it?  I matched them up with the Crate Paper Brook collection and used my Quickutz polka dot embossing folder.  I'm entering my card into the Simon Says anything goes challenge.

So next week we have the fabby sketch to follow.  Email your creations to Em by next Thursday 25 April for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

Right, I am off but I will see you later on my bloground!
