Doodlewash, Digital Pattern and Face Masks

The rest of Doodlewash for April

Stars

Candy

Party

A digital pattern created on my android tablet

 Made into a repeating pattern

I made some fabric face masks just in case we have to start wearing them.

We also made some PPE headbands for health workers on the 3D printer as there was a shortage. 3D printers are quite slow in making things and we could only do about 2 a day so in total we only made about 50. They have found a really quick way to make them now so we won't need to do anymore.

Cushions, George and Rhino's

A couple of cushions I made for my daughter who likes designs from the 40's, 50's and 60's including those of Lucienne Day.  I designed these after looking closely at her work and had the fabric printed at Spoonflower. [this fabric is not for sale]

This is George. He was printed on our 3D printer and painted by my talented brother Martin who has the real dog called George. I think I shall have to get Martin to paint all our 3D prints as he made such a good job of it. My 3D painting always looks very crude.

More drawing practice copying from the '20 ways to draw a cat' book.

Holiday and Dragon

Were you wondering why I hadn't posted recently?
I've been away to Tenerife, these photos were taken in a place called Masca.

I have done quite a bit of drawing recently but I've not taken photos yet.
I don't think I ever showed you this dragon which was made on the 3d printer from a design found on the internet. It has a lot of parts, which move and are held together by cord. It was printed, spray painted and joined together by my husband, very challenging. The only thing I did was paint the eyes.

3D Printed Items

These are some of the items we have printed with the 3D printer. None of them have been designed by me, they were all found on the internet. I've painted them though which I found quite a challenge.

This is what the castle looked like before painting.
then after many attempts at painting - I wasn't keen on the colours on the previous attempts.
You can buy the plastic in different colours so they are not always brown to start with.
We have had a lot of spiders in the garden this year as you can see from this photo. [click on the photos for a closer look]

3D Birds and Pink Poppy

Two 3D birds, my husband printed them and I and painted them. [design available on web].
I painted them a few times but I don't like the results but I got bored so they are now in the garden.

When I came back from my holiday I found this lovely large pink poppy in my garden.

3D Printing

Before Christmas my husband was wanting ideas for gifts and I said I wouldn't mind one of those 3D pens so it was a big surprise when I opened a large box with 3D printer in it, it was not a pen but a printer!
But it is very hard for my little brain to learn how to design things to print. All the items here are not my designs, they are available on the web.

I put the fairy house in my miniature garden

Items are printed in a plain colour such as this brown. This is the fairy house before I painted it.

This dinosaur has three poorly's, my toddler Grandson thought it would be fun to throw him down, but it is quite delicate in places.

This is the printer if you were wondering what it looked like.
