This caused me to wonder, what was the origin of the "Green Hornet"? Was it this bomber? Did this inspire the tv show with Bruce Lee?

The Green Hornet was created in 1936 by George W. Trendle, Fran Striker, and radio director James Jewell for the radio station WXYZ in Detroit, Michigan.

The character was inspired by the success of Trendle and Striker's previous radio hit, The Lone Ranger, and was intended to be a modern-day relative of the Lone Ranger.

He drove a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr in the "serial" motion pictures

This is a 1940 Lincoln-Zephyr V-12 Coupe (three-passenger/three-window). (thanks Steve!)

In 1941 Lincoln introduced a five-window "Club Coupe" and the Zephyr name was dropped in 1942.

This photo was taken on July 24, 1957 in Westwood (Lassen county), California.  The photo, titled "Jean at Westwood," was taken by Charles W. Cushman and that is his wife Jean in the picture.

Cushman had purchased the Zephyr in June of 1940.

The Vegas car museum of cars for sale known as the Imperial Palace Car Collection is out of business as of yesterday, and it's all getting sold or auctioned

it doesn't matter that either the above or below were owned by Hetfield, the above is a Rick Dore masterpiece and the below is a 4 door Nash. Seriously, who the hell is looking for a Nash 4 door

And really, do you think we'll see another Rick Dore masterpiece for sale that we can buy? I doubt it.

1956 Zephyr Zodiac went to Monte Carlo for a rally, and since then it's had some upgrades that keep it competitive

It raced in the Monte Carlo Rally back in the day, since then it's been given a brake up grade, the race engine was rebuilt, and a rollcage installed

It's engine has a name they would be averse to labeling anything on a car with, though... Aquaplane Special.
