I just read that this morning... damn. How'd that stay under the radar until now?

I was reminiscing about my time in the Navy, and was trying to look up some of the guys I was shipmates, shoremates, and classmates with... and dang it, it's pretty cool to find that some have or had Facebook accounts
I know that THIS is the Vito Alfano I was friends with when stationed at NAS Miramar, because of the Nova he had then, and the Nova he has in his banner

196 miles after this '66 Nova with an L79 327 and 4 spd was sold, the new owner traded it back in. People have been flipping it for profit and storing it in museums ever since. Won the 2003 Chevy Nova Nationals in 2003.

The 2nd owner bought it as a gift for their son, who only drove it about 1700 miles, he rarely drove it, got a divorce, and it sat in his parents garage until it was sold as part of their estate sale

Andreas Solli's wide-body 1969 Chevrolet Nova ‘GTR’ was one of the standout cars at Gatebil’s 2024 Main Event at Rudskogen Motorsenter in Norway.

70 Nova SS
I can't remember seeing anyone drive one of these in 30 years.
I just learned from this article that the 1962 Chevy II was the base trim, and the Nova was the high price trim.

40 years in a garage... that's ridiculous. How did people never want this Nova to be used as a backup, or for fun?

this poor full cage Nova SS has been chained in place for about 6 years... hasn't moved
It has been at this address since at least 2007 according to Google Street view. It's been under the car cover since before 2018
The guy has kept the Ford truck for at least the past 16 years. Nice.

she kept looking for her stolen 71 Nova for 9 years, finally it showed up on Craigslist... but the Oregon DMV had screwed up over and over, and she had to go to court to get a judge to declare her the legal owner, after 4 years of fighting the damn system
Her fight for her car unraveled a chain of dishonesty, deception and perhaps even some deliberate ignorance in a state that ranks fifth in the U.S. for car thefts.
Oregon’s DMV system relies on state and federal law enforcement databases that purge records of stolen cars after a few years.
The local cops didn't renew the stolen car report, the DMV wasn't doing diligent checking when issuing titles for "lost title", the pandemic jacked up the court system, the state’s lack of public defenders and a statute of limitations all complicated her reunion with the classic muscle car
