New Life/New Beginnings

This being our last week of our Spring theme at Make My Monday, our challenge is for New Life or New Beginning,. this leaves many options open for a spring card. Please do take a look at the blog for the DT have made some super cards to inspire you. I decided on a New Beginnings, with a wedding congratulations card. I thought maybe a new beginning for either a second marriage or it could be even suitable for a civil partnership wedding. My touch of spring are the new branches bearing fruit and the small white flowers.
The heart stamp is from Chloe Stamps. The sentiment is one from my stash, identity unknown. Your Spring, Spring cards last week were fantastic, I greatly look forward to seeing your last interpretation of our Spring Theme, which has given us all a fresh outlook leading into a beautiful beginning of spring over the last month.

Masking at LIM

At Less Is More this week the challenge is to use masking on your card. I will be entering two, this is a Congratulations card, an understated small card. I stamped the champagne flutes first, with Perfect medium, added Wow! Silver Bells E.P. then heated it. I then masked them, and repeated the process with the text stamp. Matted onto silver mirri, a few punched out white flowers with gem stones to complete.

White on White

This week on Less Is More, the challenge is White on White. Before I even have any comments, I suspect I've not met the challenge. I so much wanted to use my new Edwardian Bride stamp from Bravura, so I had to use the lightest non colour I have which is DI Pumice Stone. The flowers and pearls are truthfully white, though as we all know, photos of white just don't do them justice. Thanks ladies, first excuse I've had to use my new stamp.

Congratulations

This week at Less Is More the challenge is for a card with either word, Thanks or Congratulations, I have decided on the latter, so I have a standby Wedding card. I used silver embossing powder for the wedding cake, plus I repeated stamping and embossing the flowers several times, cut them out to add several layers of decoupaged flowers. A few clear jewels added for some bling. Matted onto black and silver card. The embossed paper was bought ages ago, has been stroked with affection so many times, it is now time to actually use it. This was matted onto silver card onto the main white card. This is the verse I have added inside. The card measures 4.5" sq. Added white ribbon with a faux knot and yes that is a peel off. Sshh!! I couldn't stamp onto the Grosgrain ribbon. Pretty close to closing time but I made it. Phew!

Royal Wedding

Crafty Cardmakers new challenge is to celebrate the forthcoming Royal Wedding, we are given a choice, to either make a red, white and blue card, or a wedding card with red white and blue or simply a wedding card of colours of your own choice.
We're sponsored again by the lovely Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10 voucher for her online shop which is crammed full of goddies with new stock arriving all the time! Thanks once again Joanna! My Wedding Congratulations is a textured A5 card, a sheet of A4 folded in half. I stamped the image with a La Blanche Bride stamp, one of my most favourite stamps which I don't get to use as much as I would like. I have gently added colour to her skin with Ivory and Almond Promarkers and watercolour pencils for the remainder colours. Matted onto pink card and then layered onto textured silver card. I added a selection of flowers from my stash, and silver embossed Congratulations. I think she looks a Victorian bride so I added my grandmother's pearl necklace and my ear rings for a touch of realism. Once again I look forward to visiting your blogs, thanks for popping onto mine, I greatly appreciate you took the time.
