Exotic/Jungle Wildlife

Hello again, this week at Cardz 4 Guyz we are asking you to go a little wild. the challenge chosen by Jane is Exotic or Jungle Wildlife. The Design team have some wonderful fun  inspirational cards for you to see.  I'm sure there will be lots of smiles coming up in the next week. For my card, I have made a 7 inch square card, coloured it with a DI Faded Jeans background, then scattered to cover with large leaves. I made the leaves by colouring strips of cut off card, waste from other projects,  blending several DIs,  some yellow amongst various greens. I stamped out the leaves using Mowed Lawn,  with Sheena Douglass Leaves stamps, then some fussy cutting. The monkey was created using a template from the first Anna Marie Designs Templates Vol. 1.  I hope you enjoy the card above and will be inspired to join us in the wilderness of exotic wildlife. Above all, have fun, I did.

Sweets for my Sweet

At CD Sunday Challenges this week, we are challenged with the subject of Sweets for my Sweet. I have searched my few CD's and the only thing I found was a template for the larger cup cake on the Anna Marie CD Designs Templates Volume 1. I am hoping this is acceptable, however I will truly understand if it is not okay, to be in the judging, I had fun making it, something again out of my comfort zone, which is my aim this year. The small cupcakes are from the Dieter plate of stamps from Flippen Women. The lace panel was punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
Welcome to my two latest followers, Kleckerlabor and Melissa L, it is so nice to say hello to you both, I do hope you continue to enjoy visiting my blog.

Chocolate Request

For this week's free choice at Try It On Tuesdays, Michelle asked for some Chocolate, well she was secretly hoping to get some for her birthday. Belated happy birthday. We can make anything we like but to think of Chocolate. I hope it's not too long before Michelle receives her mug, with a sachet of hot chocolate, one chocolate chip and one caramel chocolate cupcake in the post. The template for the kraft card mug is from Mirkwood Designs The cupcake templates are from Vol. 1 Of AnnaMarie Designs DVD. I made the cases with corrugated card, fancy papers, the cherries are stamped from the Fruit set of stamps by Sheena Doulass on Creative Expressions plate. Flowers, glitter glue, ribbons and a few choclate heart brads. All totally calorie free, not recommended to be eaten but they can sit on her desk for as long or as short a time as she wishes. I greatly enjoyed looking at all of the wonderful Woman Tags this last week so come on ladies, let's be seeing how you deal with Chocolate.

Under the Sea

I'm diving into the challenge at Crafts and Me which is Under The Sea, I always try to add a little stamping where possible, the shells are stamped with a freebie stamp from C.S. magazine. The fish is from an AnnaMarie Volume 1 templates, which I bought to help make interesting shaped cards for my younger grandchildren. I used glitter card, glitter glues and punched out holographic card for the bubbles. My youngest grandson will be getting this for his next birthday. I enjoy to sometimes step out of my comfort zone and make something really bright and appealing for the young ones. Thanks for looking at my colourful tropical fish.
