Use Shapes on your Card

Good morning, thanks for popping by. Today our
new challenge starts on Make My Monday.
Dawn has chosen #104 Use Shapes on Your Card.
Please pop over for more details and to see the various
shapes created by the design team.
I have always enjoyed Inchies and Twinchies, so I
decided to go for (square) Inchies.
I created the background for the Inchies and the
die cut word 'Sending' by blending 3 DIs -
Twisterd Citron, Fossilized Amber and
Abandoned Coral - amazing names.
The stamps are Birds Inchies by Inkadinkado.
A little glitter, why not? A black gem for the 'I' dot.
Take care, the UK's Autumn officially started
yesterday and already there is a drop in temperature.
Hunting out my cardigans - keep warm and stay well.

O is for Oval

Hello again, hope your well and thanks for the visit.
Today is the start of another two week challenge at
Silvi has chosen for us O is for OVAL
Please check out the Ovals from the Design Team.
I thought  maybe I should be adding another Christmas card
to my list of to do's.  I used a 5 x 7inch card, added some mirri card
around the edges. I first stamped the greeting with an old stamp in my stash.
I then die cut my oval onto the white card.
It was then dry embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.
I added crystals to the centre of the snowflakes.
The  Inkadinkado Santa stamp is one of my favourites, he was so popular
a few years ago but is rarely seen nowadays
  Coloured with Promarkers.
Santa was added to the card then the embossed piece added with foam pads.
Have fun.

It's Spooky Time

Not long to go till it's Halloween,  being a grandmother of five boys, I have a few projects to make.  So our challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz is - It's Spooky Time.  I really like these pop up boxes, they can be time consuming but they can be kept standing in the boy's bedrooms as a keepsake.(Hopefully) !If you fancy having a go, look on You tube or Pinterest,  I used papers from a paper stack Monochrome by Dovecraft. The stamps are from my collection of Halloween stamps - Exhangables, Inkadinkado and Tandastamps. I used thin strips of acetate to suspend most of the embellishments.  This pop up box/card  folds flat and fits into an envelope.
Here is a close up of the 'floating'  embellishments

Please  be sure to pop over to the  challenge blog Cardz 4 Guyz  to see how the Design Team and Guest Designers have inspired you with their Spooky Time. Have fun and happy haunting times.

Clean and Simple at Cardz 4 Guyz

This week at Cardz 4 Guyz, Julie of the Design Team has chosen Clean and Simple for our weekly challenge. CAS has not been my style.  I like making a mess, with lots of ink and techniques, even lately my embellishments have been growing in numbers. However, lately, I have got to be honest, the CAS style is starting to appeal to me. LOL Talking about making a mess, some months ago I had a wonderful fun session with a can of shaving foam, some inks and some card. I still have all of the amazing sheets of swirled patterns in a box, this card has evolved using a piece of one of the cards. I used a black Memento pad to stamp onto the shaving foam created card. I stamped a few of the Inchies Bird stamps from Inkadinkado.
The greeting is from my stash - I believe from Crafty Companions.  Please pop over to the blog to check out the amazing projects by the DT. We still have a DT CALL, you don't need any DT experience, you need a blog and to be interested and able to make male cards.  Simple as that.

Snowflakes at Sparkles Christmas

Here we are in August, another month, which means another new challenge at  Sparkles Christmas Challenges. The theme for the month is Challenge # 43 Snowflakes. I know we are going to see some amazing projects, for this is truly a wonderful topic, there is so much glitter and sparkle associated with snowflakes. Please po over to the blog to check out the details and see the wonderful gallery from the Design Team.  I once saw a sentiment which said, 'Snowflakes are  Winter's Butterlies', which is so true.  I have subdued my snowflakes in the background,  but have 'blinged' up my large snowflake and snowman.
All snowflakes from Sheena Douglas - 'Ornate Snowflakes' - large snowflake embossed with deep blue EP, added with a Quickie Glue Pen Glamour Dust - Crystal.
The Snowman is very old, oh, yes, almost a grand father, I've had him so many years, from Inkadinkado, lots of Glamour Dust glitter added to him. Matted onto black and white card, the white card was coloured with Tumbled Glass DI as was the background snowflakes.Have fun playing with your snowflakes, I look forward to visiting you.
We would like to thank our sponsor
offering a $10 voucher

A New DT Post

I was so thrilled to be accepted onto the Design Team for My Time To Craft. I have followed and entered many of the challenges since I first joined in blogland, it has always been one of my most favourite challenge blogs, and now I am part of the team. Woweeeeeeee! thanks to Shell and the remainder of the team. For my first week there is a sketch to follow. I do like sketches for they make me look at designing in more ways than I would normally, taking me out of my comfort zone, therefore learning new ways and techniques. Which after all is what challenges are all about, isn't it. I literally flipped the sketch and used papers from fizzy Moon and LOTV. the stamp is an old favourite of mine - Santa from Inkadinkado. I look forward to visiting you guys over the next week. Have fun.

Let It Snow

This week at Creative Corner the theme for the challenge is 'Let It Snow'. It always looks so picturesque, when it first falls, kids can have so much fun playing in it. Living in the North of England, over the years I have seen more of my fair share of the white stuff, I have struggled walking miles in it to get to work, when neither cars or public transport can beat it, but I still fall for the romantic sound of it all, Let it Snow (not please  here at home until the earliest Christmas Eve - thank you).  Here is my card,  I used a DI Iced Spruce  over a Stamps Away snowflake mask, added some punched out snowflakes to add a little sparkle.
Using Versamark I stamped an Inkadinkadoo snowman, I've had him for maybe 8 years or more, added fine detailed white embossing powder, then heat embossed. The greeting is from a Chloe Stamps.

Fan Tastic Tuesday - Add Stars

Hello, another week nearer to Christmas, I'm sure I have enough cards for my own use now, so anything else is either to be sold or off to the Salvation Army Charity Shop. For my DT card this week the theme is - It has be to be square, any project you wish, it can be Anything Goes but you MUST ADD STARS.  I have used for the background papers the Blue Christmas from LOTV, matted onto navy card sock. The main image I have had from my early days of stamping, could be an Inkadinkado but being honest I'm not sure. I do know I love it and have used it almost every one of the ten years I have had it. I coloured it with Promarkers and the stars are well, shh!! don't tell the stamping purists but they are peel off stars. I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs to see your stars. Have a nice week and a fun time creating.

Inspirational Card for MMM - Green and Yellow

The piece of card immediately above is a sheet which I coloured using the Shaving Foam (Cream) technique. The stamped images on the right are from an Inkadinkado set of Inchie bird stamps. Those on the left are the ones I used on last week's  Make My Monday design card. As a crafter I don't like to waste anything, especially if I have toiled over it. I decided to use the right side to make some 4 inch square cards, with a twinchie (2 inch square) stamp and inchies (1 inch square) stamps. I may end up making a box too, to hold a number of cards and envelopes, to give as a present. Again, watch this space................

CAS - Wings

For the next two weeks at Addicted to CAS Florence will be hosting her challenge for WINGS - you have such a wide area to choose from wings.  For this challenge we are being sponsored by

For my card having decided on my colour choices, I matted a piece of blue card onto a white square folded card, next I added a white square of card. I punched out a 3" circle with a punch, or a die could be used. I then blended Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn TH Distress Inks to form the sky and grass. Sprayed with water,  after a few seconds dabbed with a dry wet wipe, which creates the dispersion of the ink. I used a leaf tapestry peg stamp in two colours to form the leaves and a flower tapestry peg stamp in two colours to create the flowers. The bird from Inkidinkado is stamped with Tuxedo Black from Memento. The flying birds are from a set by Inkylicious - Trees. The circle was added with 3-D stickers to the main card. i love the effects we can achieve with Distress Inks. I look forward to visiting your entries, I am sure we will see many CAS variations of WINGS.  Above all enjoy crafting.

Sketch #4 @ ATS&More

At Addicted to Stamps and More this week it is time for us to challenge you with our #4 Sketch We are thrilled we are this week being sponsored, our thanks go to Tracy at

For more information and inspiration please pop over to our home blog. Now for the sketch, remember as with any sketch you can twist it or turn it to any orientation your happy with.
Here is my card.

As you can see I am still making Christmas cards, not sure yet how many I have, but not worried if I go over my final number, any surplus will be given to the Salvation Army charity shop, for I greatly admire the work they carry out over the Christmas period and more besides. It's a 5" x 7" card, I have used papers from a LOTV Frosty Christmas Pad. The front image has been created with an Inkadinkado Snowman and snowflakes, all stamped with a blue Brilliance ink pad. I'm not sure if the glitter shows but the front panel has lots of snowy glitter. I added 3 silver Card Candy to embellish. I look forward to seeing how you all create your project from the sketch.

Couples

2nd post today
It's been many a month since I joined in  the St. Luke's Charity Card Challenge , I guess it's about time I put that right. Their current challenge is COUPLES, it needn't be of the human kind, if you look at their site they have shown many varied examples. I have stuck to my original thought, of a human couple, simply because I had a stamp in mind I wanted to use. I recently purchased a pack of Papermania Capsule Collection papers, I'm not sure what these are called but it is all creams, beige and light browns, so suitable for vintage cards.
Couples stamp Wooden Inkadinkado, small flowers - Dreamees stamps - Happy Anniversary - stash. Coloured with Promarkers.
