Happy summer! This is my absolutely favorite season of the year! I love the unscheduled, unplanned downtime that goes hand and hand with summer. I love the extra hours of fun I get to spend with the family! And I love the beach! Last week our family went to Marco Island, Florida and I was so excited to make a handful of swimsuits for my daughter and myself! I used the Megan Nielsen Cottesloe pattern to mix and match a whole new swimsuit wardrobe!

Happy Spring all! I cannot believe we are just a few days away from April! I have a great spring outfit to share with you in some of the most comfortable fabric ever! Let me start with the skirt! I love the linen fabric Fabric Mart carries...this is my third linen order from them (you can see my previous linen makes here and here ). But I've never tried any of their linen prints. Over the last couple months, I've noticed a few floral linens popping up on their website! This particular print is out of stock, but they do have a very similar one here .

Happy Wednesday sewing friends! I have two great new sews to share with you today, one for my sweet girl and one for me! These two hoodies (as my girl would say) are the Brunswick Pullover by Hey June and we both are in love with them!

My sewing time has been very limited with the holidays and the normal house activities (kids getting older means life getting so much busier)! And because of that I've been very selective of what I choose to sew, free time is so incredibly rare! Right before Thanksgiving I sat down and quickly sewed four new tank tops and I absolutely love how they turned out!

Hi there sewing friends! This post is an exciting one for me because it marks my return to sewing! Ha! My sewing machine has been packed up and stored away in the corner of my bedroom since the beginning of July!

Summer is on us here in Florida.  Have the warm temperatures come to you yet? With the hot temps all I can think about is summer sewing. And synonymous with summer sewing is linen! I am so excited to share these new wide leg linen pants with you! I feel like I have been hit or miss on getting pants to fit my body well, but these pants fit exactly the way I had envisioned! Before I talk about the pattern, let me tell you a bit about the fabric. Fabric Mart has a large selection of linen , and for these pants, I specifically looked at the designer quality linen . This linen is dreamy. It has great drape, it is a great weight for tops or bottoms, and it is comfortable to wear! This winter I have had a major hole in my wardrobe, jeans! I decided in December that I would sew three pairs of jeans at the same time. I've found that sewing things in pairs (or in this case a group of three) is actually faster than if I sew the same pattern at separate times.This time I sewed two pairs of Ginger Jeans and one pair of Morgan Jeans. Here are my ginger jeans in a light denim, which I have been looking to buy for ages! Fabric mart had the perfect light blue stretch denim in stock a couple months ago, but unfortunately it has sold out! Actually, this is the wrong side of the fabric. You can see from this photo above when I cuff my jeans, the right side of the fabric is a bolder blue color, but when I received the fabric in the mail the back side of the fabric was exactly the color of denim I had been on the hunt for! Hi there Fabric Mart Fabricistas!  My name is Teresa and this is my first time posting here...I am so thrilled to be blogging with Fabric Mart!  When I started poking around at the fabrics available on the Fabric Mart site I immediately started my search with the chambrays .  My ready to wear chambray shirt died recently (after wearing it for many years) so it was time to replace it! I landed on this beautiful light blue denim chambray and it is perfect!  I went to my tried and true pattern, the Grainline Studio Archer Button Up .  I love the casual fit of this button up pattern.  I've sewn this pattern many, many times and always love the results!
