memorial day!

We had a fun filled memorial day!  The kids were so excited to go to Parker's
grave.  The cemetery was SO beautiful.  I can't ever describe the beauty of the cemetery on
Memorial day, but it is unbelievable.  Flowers are everywhere, and so many people visiting
their loved ones.  It's just beautiful.

My kids run right up to his grave and were so excited to give him flowers and a pinwheel.
they are so angelic about their brother, they think of him all the time and
always ask if they can say a prayer.  They are so lucky to have him as
their guardian angel.  what a blesssing to know that we are an
Eternal family.

they wanted a picture of the "Triplets"... this pulls at my heartstrings!

then the boys went golfing at Alpine Country Club and we went swimming with our cousins.
they had a huge BBQ going so we all ate a yummy lunch with some ice cream cones!
Ivy swam the whole time we were there in the deep end{without her floatie.}
she is swimming so good.
She decided she was brave enough for the diving board now.

Then later that afternoon we headed over to the Taylor's for some more BBQ-ing and playing with
the Taylor cousins.  Papa had his dune buggy out and Brigham and Boston were driving
 everyone all over the place.  {they secretly love this job}

as if we needed one more thing to do, the kids suggested "Hang Time" to end the night!
luckily no body was their and they got plenty of Dodgeball time in.  I love watching Brigham and
Boston do tricks  they are ridiculously coordinated!!

then we had to hit up Krispy Kreme.  I think the day was successful!

press play on this video of Boston and Briggs...

memorial day...

we had a fabulous day of beautiful weather! we started off the day with the Ultimate crossfit
workout "Lumberjack 20" of course to honor the fallen soldiers.
 so intense but so awesome!

when we got home the kids had all written cute cards and notes for parker's grave.
it was a day full of love and peace as we prepared to visit their sweet brothers gravesite.
I'm always amazed at the beauty of the cemetery on Memorial Day.
It is literally so breathtaking!

We ate lunch at "Sammy's" with the carson's and then cory and I headed out for some
biking with my sister mindy for her very first Mtn. bike ride! whoop whoop!
I'm not to sure she liked it. haha

we ended with a delicious bbq and our cousins playing!  Boston headed to a movie with
his cousins to see Men in black 3.  we ate s'mores and then passed out late at night.

2 more sleeps til summer break!!!

A Very wet Memorial Holiday...

We had our Hansen Memorial Day Party ! It was so much fun with LOTS of cousins and Games and yummy BBQ! We had to go with a back up plan and bring the games Inside, since it was Raining with Thunderstorms all night. The kids Played on a Blow up Obstacle Course, Basketball, Cake Walk, Jump Rope and Ring toss. It was alot of fun regardless of Bad Weather!

After all the fun activites with the Hansen Cousins, We all went to the cemetery to place flowers and flags by Parkers Grave. The kids all had Balloons to give to him and let them go into heaven. It was so Gorgeous with all the flowers everywhere for everyone and a little bit of rain started coming down. I Love talking about him to Hayes & Olivia, they say the cutest things, and all day long they were wondering when we could go see Parker in heaven. They were a little disappointed when we were at the Cemetery.
So Sweet...

Then we all went to Sonic to get Slushies and watched "National Treasure 2" {SO GOOD}
It was a Wonderful memorial Holiday...

I love this Kid!

I looked through Boston's Backpack today, Because we have NO School (yippee)! I found a little Booklet that he was making in his Class about Families! He is so adorable I just had to Post the Page of his Family! It's so cute how much he loves his Brother Parker! He always includes him Still, every time we talk about how many people are in our family!
I am reminded of what is really important to us and to keep our Eternal Perspective very clear!
(I will have to ask him why our Faces our all red..I am sure he was in a hurry to go to Recess ;))
