Birds Watercolour and Tablet Patterns

Ink drawing and watercolour paints in an A3 sketchbook [which is not great for watercolours]

This is a doodle I did on my tablet, the pink background I added after uploading to the computer.
Then arranged to give a repeating pattern.

I selected an area of the same pattern and cropped.

And the repeat version

Logs, Stars, Nests and Roses

I've been filling up some old part used sketch books with practice drawings using the book '20 Ways to Draw a Tree and 44 Other Nifty Things from Nature' by Eloise Renouf for ideas

Feathery Friends

Another new sketchbook, A3 size.
It's not very good paper for watercolour paint that is why the sky is so messy [but I quite like the messy look of it.]
I started with an ink drawing.

I first used this book in May 2014 on one page.
Then I didn't use it until April 2015 and this is what I did.
I like the work of Charlie Harper and these were my attempts at copying.

As you can see I was using decorative patterns on birds then too.

I'm linking with Paint Party Friday and I've just seen that my work from last Friday is featured there.
