Little Table

I've got a little table which was getting rather scruffy so I thought I would paint it, but that didn't work so I thought I would try decoupage. I did the legs first using pages from old books, art work, prints etc I didn't think about the top until I came to do it but decided I wanted something different to the legs. I had a sheet of double sided paper and used that. I cut a section of the blue side and put it on the grey side matching up the pattern. 

As it is Friday it must be Paint Party Friday! Have a great weekend.

I was behind so I did two in one for the first few

Day 6 is Memory - I couldn't think what to do for this so I did a poppy seed head but I was thinking later that it could be a memory of the beautiful poppies I had in my garden last month.

Tag and Doodlewash

 I felt like doing something a little different to what I've been doing lately so I did a tag for Tag Tuesday.

The theme at the moment is Tag on Tag.

I most often post on a Tuesday but I am early this week because I am expecting my mum and sister to stay from tomorrow so I'll probably not get a chance to do it.

Painted Skirt

Can anyone remember the skirt that I painted?

I used Inktense Blocks and Pencils and they claim to be permanent when dry. Well I claim to differ, they are not. I washed my skirt on the handwash mode with a delicate liquid in my washing machine and hey presto the flowers have faded. It does still have some washed out colour but all the fine details are gone. This is what it looks like now.

I put in a lining a couple of weeks ago too. 

I could buy some fabric pens and go over it or I could embroider it or leave it as it is, what do you think? My husband prefers the faded version.
