Felt Tree Decorations

First of all I would like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!. Thank you for visiting my blog over the last year and for any comments you may have left, I do appreciate them and I hope you will visit again soon.

These were made as gifts for friends to hang on their trees. They are all made of felt and some have other fabrics too. All were hand stitched and some have extra embroidery and beads. I got the ideas from Pinterest. My favourite is the caravan.

Inktober and Glass Bauble Vase

Inktober Day 5, the prompt today is chicken

I bought this little glass bauble vase a couple of years ago but have only just got round to doing something with it. The little house was 3D printed and then painted, the detail doesn't show up very well in the photos. For the base I embroidered on felt using mainly French knots, running stitch and beads.

Mushroom House in a Cup

A few weeks ago a friend did a workshop and we made houses and gardens to fit in a cup. Most of the fabric is felt with a little lace and it is adorned with embroidery, beads, sequins and buttons.

A Quiet Book for Alysia

This is the second quiet book I have made and it is for my sister's granddaughter Alysia
She likes dogs so there are a few in the book

Two dog finger puppets

A page of removable flowers held on by buttons

A snail, the beads can be moved around his 'house'

A kitchen double page spread

The fridge door opens and food can be removed, the drawer fronts can be pulled off

The pan lid is removable and the food can be put into the pan

The family are held on by magnets. On the real book their faces are actual photos but I've disguised them for privacy

Another dog, this one with a zip

The zip opens to reveals a tongue and bone

A shoe to tie a lace

Numbers to the side and beads for counting

A furry teddy bear with squeaker in his paw

Another dog, this one with a removable lead

Lift the flaps to reveal faces with different expressions

A plastic pouch filled with beads, sequins, fish and shells

Lift up to reveal the felt fish

Colours, weaving and buckles

And the inside of the outer cover, a pocket with another Lissy doll
