A Productive Day
After having so many sick days, I was determined to have a productive day today. First I had to get a bunch of annoying mundane tasks out of the way. But after that was done I was able to do six rows on my Kaffe inspired wrap, and weave in 24 ends, each one a different color. Yes, there are about 30 colors in my version. I just love color, what can I say? I'm treating it like a geometric painting.
Then I got to juggle on the front lawn and enjoy the sun going down.
Then I had an excellent dinner that I didn't have to cook of chicken and rice.
And then I got to bake a peach cobbler for a lunch meeting with friends tomorrow. Not bad for a Friday the 13th.

Camping and Knitting
Woo, today was busy. We are packing for a three day camping archery crafting trip. Even so I snuck in some knitting with a multicolored pattern that's a lot of fun. But right now I better get my bin packed and into the truck while there is still space or all my lovely projects will get left at home where I can't work on them. I'm taking my knitting, my Japanese braiding kit, my tatting, my needle punch, and some crochet to work on. Not sure I'll have time for any of it but I'm going prepared. I need to leave some time to shoot arrows though.
Oh and I made peach cobbler and cherry cobbler to take.
Yummo.

Peach Beaded Collar Necklace Revisited
This morning I did quite a bit of work on the peach beaded collar. I finished the beaded fringe which was very time consuming. I added buillion knots, fresh water pearls called potato beads, disc shaped shell beads, and some green leaves to help balance out the green I used on the roses. It's coming along. I still have to design some sort of fastener. Maybe ribbons that tie or some sort of clasp. Then I have to sew on the liner. People that don't do beadwork no doubt have no idea how many hours go into these things. Then you put it on Etsy and they want to buy it for $20 or less, when even the parts cost more than that. It's going to be lovely though.
Detail of beads and embroidery.
Buillion Knot Roses and vintage silver beads.
Freshwater potato pearls at the top. Lace ribbon rose made from trim.
Every time I think I'm almost done I think of something else to add.
I'm glad I finally finished the beaded fringe.
