Happy Halloween!

Hi stampers!  Happy Halloween!  I've got one more spooky card to share with you.  Of course I used the Spooky Sweets Bundle.  I combined it with a brusho background and the Everyday Label Punch, which also makes a great tombstone!

Again, my Gorgeous Grape didn't want to photograph well.  I'm so sad because I love the color but the light hasn't been great this week, either.  Oh well.  Trust me when I say, it's really pretty!

Hope you have a great Halloween!  Trick or treat!

Boo and Bats

Hi stampers!   Only one more day for anything spooky so I spent a little time this weekend whipping up a few more Halloween cards.  This one isn't my favorite but I do love the combo of Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, and Lemon Lime Twist with some Basic Black thrown in.

My photo isn't the best either, the light is fickle here this time of year and grape just doesn't want to photograph for me.  Oh well.  If you missed out on this bat punch, you'll be sad!  There's still time to grab it for next year!

Off to do all the things before Trick or Treat time tomorrow!  Oh, and also getting ready for Orlando...I keep thinking it's two weeks away but it's NEXT WEEK!

No Tricks Just Treats

Hi stampers!  It's almost Halloween!  I figured I'd finally share my cute little Halloween class I had.  I wanted to do something easy for new stampers but cute at the same time. I settled on the matchbooks I've done before for Annie's gummy snacks because they were bats this year and we have the bat punch!

I had the hardest time getting these to photograph well.  Gorgeous grape doesn't seem to want to cooperate!  Anyway, here it is!

And you can see the candy here.  I simply staple one in.  I've made these before and posted all the measurements there so I'm not going to do a tutorial today.  Basically, you just have to measure your treats and go from there.  I cut them at 3" x 8.5" this time and scored according to the size of the package this year.  I leave one quarter inch for the fold over at top.

I think all of my class participants liked them!  They were also pleased to see the bat punch and the fact that it cuts out all three bats at once :-)  I did add one little extra, and had them sponge the moon for more definition.  It really made a difference and they all liked the depth it added.  I hope all their favorite boys and ghouls like their treats!

And if you're looking for a quick but cute treat, matchboxes are the way to go!

Fab Friday 148

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!  It's a pretty spooky one!

Or not...it can be whatever you want it to be!  It may have spooked a couple of the design team members though ;-)

I went exactly with the predictable here since I'm in major Halloween mode!  And I LOVE this card!

It's not often I come up with a really fantastic idea but this one hit me like a bus when I trimmed down the vellum I punched in my video from the other day.  It hit me!  TOMBSTONE!  With the punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.

Also, you can kind of see in my photo, but I also stamped with Shimmer Paint.  It's very cool in real life.  You can see how I did it all in this little video!

And please don't judge that random little glitter dot awkwardly at the bottom...the stinker kind of fell and stuck itself right there and I could NOT get it off without ripping the paper.  SO there it stays ;-)

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and please play along with us!

Happys stamping!

Batty For Plaid

Hi stampers!  So it was quiet around here because we skipped town and went to San Diego to meet my in-laws for a little family vacation and it was awesome!  I tried to be organized and have some posts ready to go, but I was barely really ready to go and packed before we left, ha!  Now it's time for re-entry and man, is it hard!

I keep forgetting that September came and went when we were gone and it's OCTOBER!!!  I have got to pull out my Hocus Pocus t-shirt, I totally forgot it today!  Speaking of Halloween...

Can you place my main panel?  It's not DSP but the Buffalo Check Stamp!  I used a ruler and a marker to make it a bit more plaid and I LOVE it.  If you haven't tried this, you have got to!  A little tip for the background stamp:  Use the Stamparatus to stamp it and you can ink it up a few times to get a really saturated image.  I also turn the platform 360 degrees and press down all around each time.

Off to do a mountain of laundry and continue to figure out what day it is ;-)
