How Many New Colors Can You Find?

Hi stampers!  Year one of preschool is in the books!   Now, what the heck am I going to do with Ian 5 days a week all day every day?  Have I mentioned that he's gone from napping a solid 3 hours every single day to only a few hours occasionally?  WHEN am I going to stamp?  LOL!  I'm equal parts excited and apprehensive about summer.  Before preschool I never or very, very rarely had any kind of break from him and I have gotten very used to my free time ;-)

Anyway, here's a card I made last week.  I have professed my love for the new purples we have and I couldn't wait to use them to make some succulents!

I wasn't wrong!  I watercolored with Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather as well as Mossy Meadow.  The other two plants I colored with Lemon Lime Twist and the darker green is our new Shaded Spruce!  Isn't it pretty?????  I did a little wash around the whole image to make it pop, with Gray Granite to make it stand out just a bit.

And here's the whole thing!  My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings which is basically the new Teeny Tiny Wishes :-)  I couldn't wait to get my hands on this adorable little set.  It's a great one for almost any occasion you'd need and I highly recommend it if you're new to stamping!  You can pair it with just about anything!  And lastly, I'm going to miss these doilies like crazy!  I'm in denial they are retiring.  You may want to stock up!  They add the perfect touch sometimes!  Off to the corner to cry....

Watercolor Wednesday

Hi stampers!  Is your head still spinning from all the info I threw at you yesterday?  Mine, too! ;-)

I've dug out all the colors that are returning and I'm so happy!  Now, if I could just get some time to stamp with them, that'd be great!

I'm sharing yet ANOTHER card that uses Hanging Garden.  I just can't stop!

I pulled out the combo of coral, tide, and lemon lime twist again.  It watercolored so nicely for these succulents!

I couldn't get a great photo with that paper.  Frustrating!  But I think you get the idea!

Motivated Monday

Hi stampers!  I'm back from the OnStage even in Ft. Worth and totally motivated!  Or as motivated as I get, LOL!  I've seen the new catalog and there is big stuff coming and I'm super excited.  I'm still crying over a few of my favorite things that are leaving but the new stuff is always exciting!  And I have all kinds of ideas forming!  I also need to start some classes up but you know I'm lazy...so we'll see ;-)  It was so fun to see everything and see some of my friends.  I'm just bummed it was in a lot of locations and we were all spread out.  It's not the same without everyone!

I did NOT enjoy driving in Ft. Worth.  YIKES and I'm not usually afraid to drive anywhere.  I mean Chicago and LA no problem!  Texas....hard pass lol!

I WILL enjoy sharing more things with you once I can later today (at 2 pm Central time) so be watching FB and Insta!  Maybe I'll even get a special post here depending on our day!  I'm behind from not being able to grocery shop...or not wanting to after a 4.5 hour drive home, ha!

As for my card today, it's more hanging baskets.  And I am in LOVE with the color combo of sweet sugarplum and tranquil tide.  In.  Love.  They were sitting on my desk and scraps and I said hey!  Perfect succulent colors!

Do you see how well they watercolored into the succulents???

Time to get unpacked I guess.

Mailable Monday - Hanging Basket

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I can't stop using Hanging Garden or doing watercolor backgrounds!  That's ok, right?

Seriously, if you don't have this set yet, you need to get it!  It's just so dang cute!  I already told you it reminds me of my childhood next door neighbors and that alone makes me happy!  But it's so versatile, you can make all kinds of cards with it.  Cards like this are some of my favorites though, just to say hi or hello!  And I'm also obsessed with succulents.  I have (fake) ones all over my house!  And I love looking at them on Instagram.  Have you SEEN the gorgeous color combos they come in?

I colored my image with my Blends markers, which, have been turned off due to low supply.  SU is working hard on getting them back in stock.  They have been wildly popular and the maker just can't keep up.  This would also look just as cute watercolored (and stay tuned this week to see one like that...I told you I can't stop).  Or you could use our watercolor pencils or any other method to color these!

I finished it off with a watercolor wash and a little splattering and also added a few black stamped accents from a cute SAB set!  Eclectic Expressions is ONLY available until the end of the month!  This set is worth it just for these little elements!  The black really makes everything pop!  Oh and speaking of the background, I did a little live video on my FB page yesterday to show you one way I do my backgrounds.

Make sure to come back this week!  I have a lot to share!  I stamped a lot last week and I'm pretty excited about it!

Fond Memories

Hi stampers!  I can't seem to get my blog posts ready in the evening anymore.  I put Ian down, have a snack, and wake up sometime later on the couch and stumble to bed lol!  Anyway I have a super simple card today.

I really love this hanging basket set.  I'm not sure if I told you before, but my next door neighbors growing up, had tons of hanging baskets on their porch and basically lived out there all summer long.  This set totally makes me think of them.  They were in a way, an adoptive set of grandparents.

For this card, I colored with my Blends on Very Vanilla.  Just a little note about the Blends, unfortunately they are currently unorderable.  I guess they were massively popular and the manufacturer hasn't been able to keep up.  I'll let you know when the status changes as they really are great.  And this would look totally cute watercolored, too so don't be too distraught ;-)  I'm not going to add them to the supply list but I used crumb cake, old olive, rich razzleberry, and pumpkin pie.

I realized I hadn't used the Petal Pair Embossing Folders so they were just the right simple touch for this card!  I used this one "upside down" if you will and I think it's perfect!

Be on the lookout for a few changes here on the blog soon!  I'm excited!
