Hi stampers! I've managed to "eek" out a few more Halloween cards:-) This one is a case from one in the mini catalog using one of my favorite sets, out on a limb. I did NOT use this set enough. I'm crossing my fingers to see it back in the big catalog come June...BUT I do that for about any set, lol!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, wicked cool
Paper: Whisper white, Textured lucky limeade, rich razzleberry, more mustard
Ink: Staz on, basic black, lucky limeade, more mustard, rich razzleberry
Accessories: Circle punch, oval punch, mini brads, lucky limeade ruffled ribbon, dotted scallop border punch
I kept it pretty true to the catalog. I used all lucky limeade though instead of some old olive. I also used the plain oval punch and not the scalloped one because I like it better. Gotta run, time to get ready for a Halloween party!!! I'm snow white this year:-)
Happy stamping!

Fresh & spooky
Hi stampers! I have a cute Halloween card for you today! I finally got in the mood to make a Halloween card, yay! :-) I guess I have the ladies over at Freshly Made Sketches since I made this card for their challenge this week. I didn't get a chance to play last week so I was more than ready to get to work this week. The Out on a Limb set just begs to be used in a sketch like this!
For the colors, I took my inspiration from the Pick Your Poison DSP that I don't have...but it's on it way:-) I was late to jump on the bandwagon with that one but I finally warmed up to it! So I figured I'd just use the colors since I don't have the DSP yet. I really like the combo of basic black, very vanilla, pumpkin pie, and peach parfait! I'm really going to miss peach parfait when it retires! Now, Out on a Limb is more cutesy than spooky so I was a bit worried that the card wouldn't turn out too well but I think it came together with just the right amount of cute and spook! What do you think?
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, teeny tiny wishes, Halloween hang-ups (wheel)
Paper: Basic black (classic and craft), very vanilla, pumpkin pie, peach parfait, brights DSP
Ink: Basic black, pumpkin pie, peach parfait
Accessories: 2.5" circle punch, basic black taffeta ribbon, Iridescent ice embossing powder
I cut the little owls out and popped them up on dimensionals. I was going to only do one owl but I thought he looked lonely:-) The bats were stamped with craft ink and them embossed with II EP to make them a little more special. There is a lot of black with the tree branch and clouds so I wanted the bats to stand out a little. I used the Halloween hang-ups wheel on the background but it's mostly covered up.
That wheel is super cute though! And don't let the wheels intimidate you, it's easy to use them with a regular ink pad and the wheel guide. Now, this wheel is a tad bit tricky just in it's design...since it's got those little dots it doesn't roll as smooth as some of the all over design ones BUT with a bit of practice you get the "hang" of it;-) The trick is to push down really well and go slow!
I wanted to add a glimmer brad or something but I'm trying to make more mailable cards so I didn't want any sticky-up parts here. I hope you liked it as much as I do, I feel I've been in a bit of a slump lately and don't have many ideas so it's super fun and rewarding when I come up with something that I like!

Peek-a-boo!
Hi stampers! How about a game of peek-a-boo? It's not just for babies anymore....it's for stampers too....using the NEW PEEK-A-BOO die from the Holiday Mini (go ahead and click on the catalog over there to the right to start shopping!). Check out the cuteness...... peek-a-boo:
I see you! Hehe. The little curly cut out with the flap is from the new peek-a-boo die and it has all kinds of shapes, each with a little door for a surprise inside! I ran the black cardstock through my spider web embossing folder then took a sponge dauber and some shimmer paint to make it extra spooky! We have so many ways to make things sparkle now, shimmer paint, smooch ink and sprays, dazzling details!!! I love it!!! The color combo uses more mustard instead of an orange and it works really well for Halloween I'm happy to say! Inside I have the cute little cat from Out on a limb hanging out.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Wicked cool, out on a limb
Paper: Basic black, whisper white, rich razzleberry, more mustard
Ink: More mustard, basic black, early espresso
Accessories: Peek-a-boo die, spider web embossing folder, circle and scallop circle punches, dazling details, silver shimmer paint, silver smooch ink
Here is the detail of the inside of the flap. You can see I used the silver smooch ink around the edge of the shape. I also added dazzling details to the cloud although it's hard to see in the picture. I love that kitty cat's long tail! Out on a limb has to be one of my favorite sets in the mini! And this die is so fun, the possiblities are endless! You can make all sorts of stuff....gift tags, advent and countdown calendars, cards....just all kinds of things! Oh! How cute would a shaker card be with this die???? I'll have to work on that!!! Order yours today and let me know what you make with it!!!!

Class reject
Hi stampers! Today I have the poor little card that got rejected from my Fall Frenzy class on Saturday:-) Now, don't get me wrong...I liked the card but it just wasn't class-worthy to me I guess. Don't ask me why, I can't tell ya...I just know that I couldn't wait to get home from work on Wednesday and come up with something else, lol! This card was replaced with the little witchy woman card from yesterday's post. See, there isn't anything "wrong" with it:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, teeny tiny wishes, distressed dots
Paper: Peach parfait, rich razzleberry, basic black, lucky limeade, whisper white
Ink: Basic black, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade, peach parfait
Accessories: 2.5" circle punch, spider web embossing folder, basic black scalloped polka dot ribbon
Maybe it was the lack of accessories or bling? Anyway, it's still a cute card and I didn't want that poor little owl to feel left out:-)

Fall Frenzy...sneak peek
Hi stampers! I have a sneak peek of one of the FUN projects we are doing at my Fall Frenzy class tomorrow. You're going to be SO SAD if you aren't coming once you see what you're missing out on:-) We are doing a couple of cards and then a couple of extra special treats, one for Thanksgiving and then this one for Halloween:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, teeny tiny wishes
Paper: Watercolor, chocolate chip
Accessories: Dazzling diamonds, 2.5" circle punch, scallop punch, linen thread, old olive 5/8" taffeta ribbon, linen thread
EEK! Isn't it CUTE!?!?! Well except for the little moon where the marker and I had a slight disagreement...don't mind that part, I'm sure my students will do much better:-) This cute little treat holder uses the new 1 x 8 cello bags to hold some yummy M&M's (which I'm hoping I still have enough for the class since the hubby will be home alone with them tonight and he KNOWS they are there...he has been warned). Then, I just dressed the little bag up with a tag I made using some watercolor paper and the out on a limb stamp set. It was so easy and so cute! It would make a great class treat or party favor! On the detail picture you can see where I added some spooky dazzling details.
Hope you enjoyed today's project....you should plan on coming to the next class so you don't miss out on the cute projects AND the chocolate;-)

Spooky shaker
Hi stampers...well I didn't get around to my patriotic card today but that's ok....grocery shopping and laundry had to be done if we wanted to eat and wear clean clothes this week! But I did get a card done that I started on last night. This one is for the Paper Pal Arts theme challenge this week....and the theme is Halloween! We all know I LOVE Halloween so I love this time of year and working on Halloween cards and treats! Too bad I polished off the Halloween M&M's I had the other night or I could make some treats up now, haha. I should NOT buy them until the day I know I'm going to use them!
Anyway I used the out on a limb set (which is one of my faves) to make a little shaker card:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, wicked cool, netting, Halloween hang ups (wheel)
Paper: More mustard, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade, basic black, whisper white
In: More mustard, basic black, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade
Accessories: Shaker frames, window sheets, spider web embossing folder, decorative label punch, circle punch, scallop circle punch, mica flakes, basic black polka dot scalloped ribbon, basic rhinestones (whew, that was a lot)
While I had good intentions the shaker kind of turned out like a cross between Halloween and Christmas, lol! It was rather late when I started working on it and I don't think I was thinking straight as I used some of the new mica flakes in the shaker and it looks like snow, haha! Oh well, it's still cute and sparkly! I did get to use my Halloween hang up's wheel at the bottom..I had to break down and get that wheel as I just think it's stinking cute! I added some spooky "eyes" to my sentiment too.
So Happy Halloween and Merry Christmas all in one card, lol!

Challenge Palooza
Hi stampers! I've been having stampers withdrawl as of late!!! There wasn't a whole lot of stamp time this weekend so I've been itching to get into my studio. Add the fact that I've been inspired by a TON of challenges this week and I was basically freaking out all day until I could STAMP!!! I even had a list of what to do in what order since the challenges all close at different times, lol! I got FOUR cards done tonight which is quite a feat! Nevermind the load of laundry I got done too....ok, well washed and dried, I can put it all away tomorrow, hehe. So you can look for a load of posts from me in the next few days...I'd like to post them all tonight but even with an energy drink ( I KNOW, I have GOT to stop drinking them) I'm fading fast now...didn't sleep well last night after eating some M&M's after work and having heart burn...who knew...M&M's???? But I'm feeling terrific now that I've got some stamping done (add to the fact that I stayed out of the candy tonight)!
Anyway, I loved the Inkspirations Sketch Challenge this week and was happy that I got to play along tonight! This sketch was so fun:
I think this may become a go-to sketch for me. I have so many ideas for this sketch using different sets! Can't wait to get my shaker frames from the UPS man tomorrow....too bad I have to work late tomorrow night, 12+ hours on Friday AND then on Saturday too....guess they will have to wait!
Anyway, I immediately thought of using out on a limb for this sketch and it turned out cute! I've been waiting to use this little witchy woman!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Out on a limb, wicked cool, fang-tastic (retired)
Paper: 2011-2013 in color DSP, more mustard, elegant eggplant, whisper white, basic black
Ink: Staz-on, craft white, more mustard, basic black, lucky limeade
Accessories: 2.5 inch circle punch, petal cone die, glimmer brads (neutral), dazzling details, elegant eggplant scalloped ribbon, white EP
Squeeee!!! Isn't she cute???? I went a little polka dot crazy, I know. I do have to say I love the elegant eggplant scalloped ribbon even if I'm not a huge fan of that color normally. I thought the card looked a bit neked so I added some bats along each edge of the mustard. Two finishing touches were to use some dazzling details on the clouds and I embossed the sentiment in white to make it pop and bring out the dots in the ribbon (and you'll have to excuse me for using a retired sentiment BUT it was just perfect here). Oh, and don't forget my glimmer brad!
See you soon with another challenge:-) Happy stamping!

Trick or Treat, Scary or Sweet?
Hi stampers! This card is sweet for sure! I've been wanting to use this little guy every since I got the set at convention!!! It is a new hostess set from the upcoming holiday mini and we all got it for free as our last give away at convention!!! And we all know I LOVE free stamps! The great thing about this set besides the fact that it's just uber cute is that most of the images work well with our punches! Take this little owl for example...he was easy to punch out with the owl punch:
Isn't he cute???? You can see he's a bit sparkly too as I inked him up with back craft ink and then embossed him with some iridescent ice embossing powder. He just needed to be sparkly! I simply used my pumpkin pie ink pad and a blender pen to color in his beak and cute little trick or treat bag.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Warmest of wishes (hostess), Out on a limb, grateful greetings
Paper: Whisper white, basic black, pumpkin pie, daffodil delight
Ink: basic black craft, basic black, pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, more mustard
Accessories: Circle punch, decorative label punch, owl punch, scallop squares duo die, spider web embossing folder, silver smooch spray, basic black scalloped polka dot ribbon
The rest of the card is pretty straight forward and I thought this cute owl would be PERFECT with the out on a limb set also from the mini. I just LOVE how our sets inter-mix so well....have I mentioned that? LOL! I also loved how the sentiment from grateful greetings worked too since the little guy has a trick or treat bag! You'll note that I did use some of the scalloped polka dot ribbon, I love that stuff! I also embossed the black panel with the spider web folder and then hit it with a good spray of the silver smooch! Love that stuff too, it can add SO much to a card yet it's so simple! The last note I'd like to make is about the moon. I sponged the edges with some daffodil delight and then with some more mustard to make it spooky and give it a little depth!
Hope you liked it! Don't forget that you can earn this cute set for FREE starting September 1! That's only a week away! Happy stamping!

Switching Gears
Hi stampers! So I've been making a lot of bright, fun, summery cards lately since of course it IS summer. Well, it WAS summer for me or at least it is until tomorrow. Football starts tomorrow so for me, summer is over:-( I'll be working late hours and weekends, booooo! At least it's a bit cooler here....or at least less humid! So, since it's now "fall" to me AND because I got my Holiday Mini pre-order last night, I have a fall inspired card to share today!
This time of year is always a conundrum for me...stamping wise anyway. It's at this point in the year that I'm really IN to the fun and summery cards BUT I get new fall geared stuff and I have a bit of an identity crisis....what to stamp? Summer or fall? Or Christmas even???? So, forgive me if I waffle back and forth a bit as far as themes and color combos. I'm not yet ready to give up the fun summer stuff (not to mention the fact that I just bought a bunch of summer type stuff, lol) but I'm excited for the holiday mini and everything fall and Christmas! I guess I'll have to have a split personality for a while! I want to make sure I make good use of my new catalog purchases AND my holiday purchases so I need to do a LOT of stamping! We won't even talk about how neglected my summer mini stuff is! I need to learn to cut back there since I get so excited about the new big catalog....
Ok, enough of my issues (lol)! Here is a little sneek peek from the new Holiday Mini:
Stampin' Supplies (I had to go back and edit as I forgot...so sorry:-):
Stamps: Out on a limb, teeny tiny wishes
Paper: whisper white, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade, crumb cake
Ink: rich razzleberry, more mustard, lucky limeade, early espresso
Accessories: spider web embossing folder, scallop squares duo die, basic rhinestones, basic black scalloped polka dot ribbon
EEK! Isn't it CAAA-YOOT? The set is called "out on a limb" and I think it's my favorite set in the mini! And yea me, I didn't get too many sets out of the Holiday mini (so far....) but I HAD to have this one! It's so cute and fun! As you can see from my sample and probably tell from the name, there are various Halloween images that can sit or hang on the limb! Too cute! I'm also loving the scalloped polka dot ribbon in black for Halloween! This card is semi-cased from the Holiday Mini itself. I really also love the color combo of more mustard, lucky limeade, and rich razzleberry! And of COURSE I had to dig out the spider web embossing folder!
Ok, that's it for me, I've got to rest up for football practice tomorrow....ok, actually I need to rest up so I can get up and go for a RUN in the morning so I get that out of the way since I don't have to work until the afternoon, hehe! I think I should start a program of no stamping if I don't work out....I need SOMETHING to motivate me:-) Happy stamping!
