Fab Friday 162

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's been a pretty busy week here.  Figures since I got some new stuff and haven't really had time to use it much.  Anyway, it's time for another challenge over at Fab Friday!  I just love these colors together!

Sadly, I do not love my card.  At all.  LOL!  Since I was so busy it was crunch time to make one and I had a couple of backgrounds that turned out so well but I got too complicated and stamped on them and didn't end up liking the end result and then just couldn't get either one to work on a card.  I finally ran out of time and this is where we ended up.  Don't judge LOL!  Sometimes you learn the hard way to leave well enough alone, right?

Gah, it's even worse posted here.  LOL!  Oh well.  I tried really hard to use a set that was retiring so I chose Another Wonderful Year and tried to do an ombre type technique with the sentiment..  Meh, lol!

Anyway, PLEASE show me all the amazing things you'll do with this combo and play along with us!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 147

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  If you're here for the Fancy Friday Blog Hop, scroll down to the next post.  Even if you're not, check it out after you check out this one!  It's time for another challenge at Fab Friday!  It's a sketch this time around.

I really like this one and it was just screaming for the Sprig Punch!  I didn't get the coordinating stamp set (not that I still won't, ha) but this punch is a stand alone!  I love it!  I simply cut my copper spring in half here.

This one is super simple but I super love it!  That embossing folder is a must have, too!  I did have to trim it up a little after embossing since the texture makes it "shrink" up a little on the long sides.  The products from this card span two suites, and I love how our suites mix and match with one another!

Make sure you check out what everyone else did and play along with us!

Fab Friday 145

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday! This week has flown by with Ian starting back to school and a few other things on the agenda!  Not enough time for stamping but I'll get there!  Anyway,  it's time for another challenge over at Fab Friday!  We have a sketch for you:

I kept mine really simple because...well, see above paragraph ;-)

But I think it turned out really, really cute!  And I know I need to stop it with the Christmas cards, but I just CAN'T!  I LOVE the plaid and the little star paperclip accents!

Make sure to play along with us, we'd love to see what you'd create.  And don't forget to check out the rest of the team's designs, they are fab!

Grape and Lime

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's the big guy's first day of school for this year!  Whoohoo!  Hopefully that means I'll have more time to stamp but we all know how fast time goes!  Anyway, speaking of him, he's loving getting snocones at a local place here and I love them too!  One of my favorite combos is grape and lime so I threw them together on this card! ;-)  And it's NOT from the Holiday Catalog!

I stamped my background and then spritzed it and I think it looks a bit like you dropped some snocone :-)  My sentiment is embossed and watercolored (I think I used retired black ink, whoops).  And those glitter dots are SO yummy!

Happy stamping!

Last Day of Christmas in July

Hi stampers!  How can it be the last day of July already?  I'll be ordering my holiday catalogs today to send to you!  I got a peek at it yesterday and it's AH-MAZING of course!  For now, here's a card using stuff from the annual catalog!

I used this greeting from Another Wonderful Year (which is my favorite in the set) and a bunch of framelits to make a pretty cute Christmas card!  I combined the pine sprigs and other little sprigs from Pretty Pines with the Foliage Frames Dies and then added my bow from the Stitched Seasons Dies which are available TOMORROW!  I love our dies because you can combine them with almost anything to create amazing cards and projects!  Don't forget that you don't have to use the dies with the coordinating sets at all or even OWN those sets!

The Foliage Frames Dies are amazing because you can use our new Embossing Mats to add some texture as well.  After I cut out my frame, I left it in the die and use the mats to emboss it.  I'll try to video that soon!

A few gold accents and the new Tufted Embossing Folder round it out!

Happy stamping!
