Thankful Pumpkin

Hi stampers!  Look at me, posting on a Monday :-)  This card is for you, all of my friends and readers who are here when I decide to blog and when I need you :-)

I finally ordered the Come To Gather DSP and I'm so glad I did.  I love the colors and I love the way the rustic wood pattern pairs with the gingham!  I also love the addition of Cajun Craze here, too!  My sentiment is from the To Every Season Stamp set and I think it pairs nicely as well!

Make sure to check out the supplies in my FB group if you have any questions!

Fab Friday 176

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Sorry I've been MIA!  It's been a crazy few weeks.  Ian got sick, we went to Illinois, came home for three days and then few to Disneyland and San Diego (Jon had a work event).  We came home just before Halloween and the time change and I just haven't caught up with my life yet :-)  I'm kind of always behind though, ha!

Anyway, I'm hoping to get back into the groove and Fab Friday is helping me out today, forcing me to stamp and share!

It's kind of a fall combo I think.  My apple has blushing bride in it, although you can't see as much of it as I'd like.

I have to laugh and tell you a bit of a funny story!  I went to make this card early Thursday morning (thinking look at me go of course)  because Jon had a medical appointment later in the day that would take most of my time (he's fine).  I stamped an "apple" and used my daubers to color it in and just wasn't happy with it.  I kept looking at it and could NOT figure it out.  It finally dawned on me.... :-)

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along!  If you're looking for the supply list, make sure you follow me in my FB group as that's where those live now!

An Apple A Day

Hi stampers!  We're halfway to the weekend!  Will you be stamping over the weekend?  Saturday is World Card Making Day so I'm going to try to get in my stamp room!

Here's a fun fall card you could send to anyone!  I love the Harvest Hellos stamp set!  Ian had a little taste test of different varieties of apples last week and keeps talking about it.  That totally reminds me of this card, ha!  His favorite was the pink lady!

Our DPS stacks sure make cute apples!  I used the Brights Collection here with Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green (fitting, no?).

I used some post it notes and masked off the comma and the rest of this sentiment from the set and just used the Hey There.  Don't forget you can usually use your sentiment in any way you want!

I did some pattern mixing yesterday and today should we call this pattern coordinating?  Ha!  I paired the Buffalo Check Background Stamp with the gingham.  I wasn't sure it would work, but it totally does, or at least I think so.  What do you think?

In keeping with our new and improved website, the supply list can now be found on my FB group which you can get to HERE.  Make sure to click and join so you don't miss anything!

Hey There, Pumpkin

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  Technology is NOT my friend!  Anyone else?  I'm sharing a cute card today but my photo editing app wasn't working so I did the best I could, I hope I do it justice since it's JUST SO CUTE!

How fun is the pattern mixing on this card???  Don't be afraid to mix them up!  And don't forget about our Decorative Masks!  This set from the Holiday Catalog are super cute and to be honest, I forgot these simple dots were in there!  I inked them up with a sponge and made sure I went heavier with the ink in some places and lighter in the other and I LOVE it!

One of my oldest and best friends always greets me with, "Hey, Pumpkin", so this card will be on the way to her!

Fab Friday 172

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday....the 13th.  Eek!  With the full moon and today, things are always a little sideways, lol!  It's been busy over here with the new office space I've gotten and I've worked hard to get it cleaned up (the whole house, construction is so gross and messy) and functional.  Anyway, taking some time to share the new Fab Friday challenge with you!

Here's what I did!  I had to use the gingham DSP in Pretty Peacock because I just love it!  I thought it would pair perfectly with Country Home.  I also thought that would pair with the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and I wasn't wrong!  We tend to get caught up in the Holiday Catalog but this is a great autumn themed set from the Annual Catalog!

I stamped right on the acetate and then cut out my can.

You can see the puff paint here.  It was fun to use!  I just dabbed a little on each cotton boll and then was careful not to tip my paper while I heated it from the bottom.  It popped up kind of like popcorn! Isn't it fun and perfect for this set????

Make sure to check out what the team did!  I'm out, got a headache and in a weird funk so maybe I'll come back and link supplies later.

A CASE Study

Hi stampers!   So you get a stamp set but have no idea what to do with it?  Yup...happens all the time!  I LOVED this stamp set even though I tried not to because I don't NEED any more stamps and we had one that looked similar previously.  Welp...you can see how that ended up lol!  Pesky thing made it onto my order somehow!

But I sat down to use Falling For Leaves before our trip home and nothing was really working for me.  A lot of times I get really frustrated when that happens and quite honestly, I usually give up.  But, sometimes I remember to take a look at the catalog and decide to copy a project.  Here, the card was a different shape but I went ahead and made it in a regular A2 size and it turned out super cute.  And this is another set that has a bundle with matching framelits but as you can see here, it makes a cute card all on it's own without the dies!

If you have your catalog handy, you'll also see that I used a different ribbon.  I didn't have the ribbon that they used but I did have another Tranquil Tide ribbon so it was an easy swap.  Remember, you don't always have to have everything to make your own pretty rendition!  Even some cardstock could have stood in here.

Next time you're stumped, don't forget to go study your catalog and find some inspiration!

Buffalo Check, Check!

Hi stampers!  I'm back with some more sneak peeks of the Holiday Catalog.  If you have ordered from me in the past year, you should have gotten one!  If you need one, let me know!

For today, the star of the show is this new background stamp, Buffalo Check.  Plaid is so in for fall and I LOVE this stamp!  I tried to resist this Falling For Leaves set because it kind of looks like a previous set, but I just couldn't.  The samples in the catalog made me buy it :-)  Does that happen to you????  It's actually a bundle and has some really cool dies that coordinate!

See that sparkly little scallop strip, I used one of the border dies in the bundle to cut it out, they are so fun!  And then new glimmer paper is fantastic!  NO shedding!  And the colors in the Holiday Catalog are gorgeous!

Color Your Season Some More

Hi stampers!  We have been busy with all the grandma's and grandpa's this week so I haven't been blogging, but I do have some time to share with you today.  I kept forgetting to share this awesome card with you!  There is still time to get your hands on the limited release Blended Season Bundle!

I was sold on this bundle for the dies alone, which you can see why in this card!

The stitched shapes are just so great as is that leaf!  A tip for the leaf, is that if you have some raised dots from the release holes, you can just rub them smooth with your bone folder.  I decided to give Brusho a go with the leaf stamp and I was not disappointed.  I embossed in gold and then very carefully shook a bit of the crystals in different colors and combinations.  I tried to stay near the middle to not get a lot on the surrounding paper.  Then, I blended them together a bit and spread the color out with my aquapainter.

The colors turned out to vibrant!  And they looked SO great on that woodgrain DSP!  For the life of the though, I don't remember where my sentiment is from :-)  Sorry!  I made it a long time ago and we've been so busy!

I hope you'll try this bundle and combine it with Brusho if you haven't!

Happy stamping!
