The team-up no one demanded--Stingray and Aquaman!
Another beautiful custom cover from the nerd-riffic Super-Team Family: The Lost Issues blog. One criticism, though--why does Stingray get top billing?!?
Thankfully Aquaman is a regular fixture over on the Super Team Family blog, which features beautiful custom covers of team-ups that never happened. And while I have to admit I can't quite picture the Sea King and Frank Castle ever teaming up, for any reason, you can't deny this is one powerful image. I would have dropped 60c on this book without hesitation!
The Super-Team Family: The Lost Issues blog is always a fountain of fun, but last week was particularly inspired, as it featured two fantasy Aquaman team-ups! The Sea King and Namor is a no-brainer, but man oh man I would kill to see the Aquaman/Nemo book. Somebody call Classics Illustrated!
Everyone loves the Super-Team Family blog and its inventive cover mash-ups. Aquaman shows up pretty regularly, and last week it was his turn again, this time appearing with the Man Without Fear, Daredevil! Bonus: Learn how this cover was put together via a step-by-step tutorial, on occasion of the Super-Team Family's 1000th issue!
Another winner from the Super-Team Family blog--man, who wouldn't want to read this?!? I'm picturing one of those DC/Marvel treasury editions from the late 1970s. After all, Marvel did publish Godzilla back then...
Aquaman has made a couple of appearances over on the always-fun, always-inventive Super-Team Family...The Lost Issues blog, which manages to craft team-ups that I would have killed to see as a kid. STF #537 in particular would have been the fastest 60 cents I ever spent.
One quibble: Aquaman is getting the short end of the trident in both of these covers; any chance the next time he appears the Sea King could be the one doing the saving?
No, this isn't the most awesome issue of Super-Team Family ever; its another killer cover mash-up courtesy the blog Super-Team Family: The Lost Issues (formerly Brave and the Bold: The Lost Issues). Better yet, there's Part Two coming tomorrow!
