Support

After a FULL day of packing as fast and furiously as I could, I finally sat down on the stairs while I was watching the children make their own dinner.  Within a minute, Brady had climbed up behind me and started rubbing my back.  Hunter was fast to follow Brady's example.

This move is big and it is challenging, but I have no doubt in my mind that our family will make the trip and find a home in Palmer with flying colors because our children are amazing tiny humans and we are supporting each other on this next adventure.

The back rub was amazing until Hunter said he saw an ant on my back and promptly slapped it (the ant...and my back) as hard as he could.

Summer Adventures Begin

We have started the pattern that every other summer we road trip like crazy... and this year is no exception.

School has been out for a week, and we loaded up SO many things for an action-packed three weeks of family fun, and memorable experiences across America.

We hugged good-bye to our wonderful animals, always with the awareness that they are older pets, and we hope and pray to see them again in three weeks... and spent 1108 miles in the car for our first stop -- St. Louis, MO.

All those miles, and these smiles make them all worth it.

Separate Summer Adventures

Since the 4th of July, Hubby has been working a few days a week in Rangely, and I have been home manning the ship and dealing with house showings.

It has been a fun chance for two children at a time to go to Rangely with Hubby to spend the night in our camper, enjoy the rec center, go fishing, and get to know our new town better.  It has also encouraged me to make some special activities at home so the the children at home will also have fun while two siblings are with Daddy in Rangely.

Yesterday was a lot of fun... Tracey and Lee Lee are in Rangely and so Caroline and the 3 boys and I did toddler trampoline time in Junction, picnic lunch in the car, and the afternoon swimming at the Rifle pool.  It was a really fun day and everyone was asleep by 7:30pm.

Sunday Hike

The kids and I took a Sunday hike after church -- very short (maybe a mile) but just long enough to have a great time, allow the kids to explore along the way, but short enough that it was done before anyone had a meltdown.

It is really fun to know that Brady and Hunter (and all the kids) are getting old enough that we can do these things together and  do them safely and have fun.  Here are some pictures.
