Altered Book - Pages 126-138

For these collages I used old calendars, magazines plus art work. You can probably tell that one of the calendars was all about fairies [historical art]. The other was close -ups of things, above is a scallop shell as a background.

The lady [by John Simmons 1872] was from the fairy calendar but the man and text were from an old Woman's Weekly, early 1980's

The background is 'dark peat stained water of a river in flood', the fairy by John Atkinson Grimshaw in 1879, the dog from the Woman's Weekly.

This is a close up of a Macaw's wing and characters from the fairy calendar.

I gave the fairy a paintbrush to finish the pretty background.
She is from The Fairy Dance by Grace Jones c1920

The background features raindrops on a Lady's Mantle leaf.
The fairy by Walter Jenks Morgan [1847-1924]
The house was from an old arts magazine.

Baby Bib and Rabbit Hunt

I made a bib for a friend's new Grandson

and lots of rabbits for a rabbit hunt around Easter time for my Grandson.
Some were made of card and some were fabric, stitched with a backing and wadding in the middle. I used stamps I had made a while ago.

3D Printing

Before Christmas my husband was wanting ideas for gifts and I said I wouldn't mind one of those 3D pens so it was a big surprise when I opened a large box with 3D printer in it, it was not a pen but a printer!
But it is very hard for my little brain to learn how to design things to print. All the items here are not my designs, they are available on the web.

I put the fairy house in my miniature garden

Items are printed in a plain colour such as this brown. This is the fairy house before I painted it.

This dinosaur has three poorly's, my toddler Grandson thought it would be fun to throw him down, but it is quite delicate in places.

This is the printer if you were wondering what it looked like.

Cream Crazy Patch

I'm calling this patch cream although it includes other colours, various browns and whites.
I've used shells, parts of necklaces and wooden beads as well as 'normal' beads and sequins. I've not used patterned fabrics on this one just fabrics with different textures plus lace, ribbon, ric-rac  and cut work fabric and of course lots of embroidery

I think the mistake I may have made with this patch is sewing beads to close to the edge, I think I will have problems when I sew the seams.
