A Quiet Book for Alysia

This is the second quiet book I have made and it is for my sister's granddaughter Alysia
She likes dogs so there are a few in the book

Two dog finger puppets

A page of removable flowers held on by buttons

A snail, the beads can be moved around his 'house'

A kitchen double page spread

The fridge door opens and food can be removed, the drawer fronts can be pulled off

The pan lid is removable and the food can be put into the pan

The family are held on by magnets. On the real book their faces are actual photos but I've disguised them for privacy

Another dog, this one with a zip

The zip opens to reveals a tongue and bone

A shoe to tie a lace

Numbers to the side and beads for counting

A furry teddy bear with squeaker in his paw

Another dog, this one with a removable lead

Lift the flaps to reveal faces with different expressions

A plastic pouch filled with beads, sequins, fish and shells

Lift up to reveal the felt fish

Colours, weaving and buckles

And the inside of the outer cover, a pocket with another Lissy doll

Altered Book, Collage and Digital Prints

Three pages from an altered book {Somerset Studio 2003 Art Journal calendar}.
The top and bottom pictures were created on my tablet and computer then printed so you cannot really see any of the altered book but it is somewhere to put the art. The middle one is a collage

Sketchbook 57 - Pages 1-11

A friend made me a handmade sketchbook with pages of different kinds of papers and this is what I have done in it so far.

I used these dragonflies in a fabric design

Collage, the cats heads and sparkly crown and necklace were recycled from a greetings card

Backgrounds for Art Projects

These backgrounds for art work were created in different ways. One was rolling stamps and paint then enhanced digitally, one was from a photo [ a pavement]. For the top one I used a vintage letter then used my tablet to add the spots. The others were art work then they were digitally altered.
I don't mind if you use these in your art work, let me know what you create.
Please don't copy the backgrounds to sell.

Altered Art History Book [Cont]

Way back in 2012 I sorted some books for charity and this one [History of Art - Impressionism] was among them. The spine was disintegrating and not good enough to give away so I thought I would use it for art work. The idea was to be inspired by the art in it, although this didn't always work. The book is not finished but I keep having a dabble in it.

Dolls on the Run

The dolls are not new, I made them way back in 2009. They're made up of houses and are called housekeeper and housemaid. I was looking thru my digital photos and saw them and thought I would let them escape to the country for a holiday.
