Distressed Layers Embroidery

I've started a new fabric book as I have a stash of sheer fabrics I want to use. I used a soldering iron to distress them in places and to fuse them together with the background. I'll not be doing it again unless I buy a better dust face mask. There are several layers so it would be better to click on the image to see them closer.
I thought I would include a couple of TAST stitches {Take a stitch Tuesday} as I haven't done any for ages. If you go to the tast faq page there is a whole list of stitches to try.
Above - I started on the left with a zig zag coral stitch [Tast 111] and in the v's I used a detached chain stitch and fly stitch and then applied a bead in each detached chain stitches. Other stitches used are running and cross.
Below - I didn't use any of the recent tast stitches, I used running, fly and cross stitches. The sequin leaf was part of the fabric.

Below - there are a few metallic fabrics on this piece and sequins. I used Tast 108, rice stitch. This is normally stitched on canvas, aida or linen but I used it in a free form style so it is untidy. Maybe I should call it distressed rice stitch to match the fabrics.

Pink Book [part 4]

The background paper is painted and glittered. The fabric on top is all hand stitched and beaded.

Various papers, some painted, collaged and stitched. The fabric flower petals are from an old t-shirt.

Wallpaper, the right side this time, painted and stamped with lots of little fabric flowers with bead centres.

Wallpaper, the right side again, painted and stamped. Heart sequins arranged like a flower centre with fabric braids in the shape of flowers. Pink stars on a rope dangling from the centre of the flowers.

Wallpaper, the right side again, painted and stamped. Bingo card and numbers. One handmade art button and one regular button.

A fabric page, painted, writing made with sharpie. Fabric layered square, with lace, net and bouquet of little flowers, ribbon.

All That Glitters [Handmade Book] part 2

Continuing from yesterday. On this page there are gold ribbons, three Chinese lucky coins, more tomato puree metal textured pieces machine stitched, two metal moons attached with gold beads, two discs metal.
On this page is a beautiful piece of fabric I acquired from a friend, I think it was part of a garment. The flowers are quite raised up and have a velvety feel and in between them are circles of machine embroidery in gold thread. There is also a satin type of stitch in the same thread.
The purple sequin fabric is holding a buckle, the fabric is held down with bugle beads and decorative trim. a gold button and chains hang down from one side.
A woven piece made from a lot of the metallic trims I have. To do this I just used masking tape to hold the ends down on a work surface while I wove it [it is a bit tricky and fiddly]. Then I machine stitched the woven trims to the fabric and then trimmed them near to the stitching to neaten the edge [without cutting through the background fabric].

The black flower with the copper sequins was from a t-shirt sample design I did years ago.  The other flower  has a two layers of metal [puree tubes again], machine stitched, beads on fabric which I cut from another old sample, ball like trim, leaf charm. Under the flowers is a fancy trim and four rows of sequins in different colours.
Metal sheet - puree tube with lots of different textures and painted with green and red paint, mostly removed. Machine stitched. The attachment is a recycled earring.

TAST 59 and 60

Take a Stitch Tuesday - 59 - Breton stitch.
I used a hand painted/stamped fabric for the background and I stitched over the ric rac ribbon like couching.  I decided to do the stitch in a meandering kind of way like the ribbon.
Take a Stitch Tuesday - 60 - Diamond stitch.
I used a hand painted/stamped fabric for the background and layered painted laces. The pearl thread normally looks quite thick but it looks thin here. I attached flower sequins and beads too.
