Wild Flower Canvas and Garden Cushions

I reused a canvas for this. It had melted wax crayons dripped on it which were set, so I scraped it off. I created texture by using an old tube of lumpy acrylic paint, I'd cut the end off the tube to get to the paint. I then painted over it several times mainly because I didn't like the colour until I got this purple-blue. I painted on the flowers with a brush.

This is the canvas before adding the flowers although the colour doesn't look quite right.

Also this week I made some cushions for my daughters outdoor bench. It is one of my own fabric designs and I'd bought the fabric a while ago for a project and then didn't use it. There wasn't enough fabric to do both sides so I used something else for the undersides. I forgot to take a picture of the cushions on the actual bench.

Embroidery and Lace Pictures

I used little 6"x 4" canvases for these little pictures, collaged pages from a gardening book and used Liquitex Inks to colour.
I revisited Pintangle [Take a Stitch Tuesday] to remind myself how to to do some of the embroidery stitches I have done in the past. Sharon is showing how to do embroidery stitches again if you wish to join in.
Above - Raised herringbone band, running stitch.

Slipped detached chain stitch, cross stitch.

Fancy hem stitch, running stitch.

Up and down feather stitch, running stitch.
I shall include these on Simply Neutrals Tuesday, do pop along to see more.
