Baby Dress and Cardigan

I've not made any clothes for quite a while mainly because they didn't fit that well but I thought I would make a dress for the baby. I didn't think it would take long to make with it being small but I seemed to be making it for days.
My sister made the cardigan out of leftover bits of yarn she had and luckily it goes well with the dress.

This is four day old baby Joanie wearing the dress and cardigan laying on the quilt I made with a teddy bear that her other Grandma made.

Baby Quilt

I have an announcement, my daughter gave birth to a daughter the other day, my first Granddaughter.

I made a baby quilt but chose an easier way this time and bought a printed panel, so no applique or anything like that. The panel is called 'Counting Sheep'.

I've decided that I don't really like quilting so it may be the last one I do....until next time.

Bodysuits for Baby and Hippopotamuses

I bought plain white baby bodysuits and decorated them with heat transfer vinyl.
I cut the animals out on my KNK cutter and then used an easy press to adhere them to the bodysuits.
The model for the bunny was a crochet bunny I made a few weeks ago. The teddy and chick were also drawn from scratch but I altered clip art for the zebra and elephant.

More drawing practice

Crochet and Racoons

Another attempt at crochet, a jacket for baby.
I used multi coloured yarn and followed a video on you tube.

More drawing practice.

Baby Cardigans and Vintage Sewing Machine

Two baby cardigans I knitted late last year. I've not done any knitting for years so I was quite pleased with the outcome. And they fit him [my grandson] .......but not for long I think.

My daughter found a vintage Singer sewing machine in a cupboard. We thought it was a table at first, the machine was tucked under and folds out. It is VERY heavy.

Baby Knits

It's a long time since I did any knitting, especially hand knitting but  thought I would give it a go with the stork delivery coming soon. I did make a few errors but I managed to disguise them a little.

I had yarn left over so I made bootees and bobble hat.

It's really tiny this hat, guess who didn't do a tension square?

Bibs and Burp Cloths

Two more bibs, these are slightly different to the others as they fasten at the side. I used vintage fabrics for them both.

Ten Baby Bibs

I've used vintage fabrics on six of them, some very old.....I had a dress made with one of the fabrics when I was a child......and that is a long time ago.
I used a bib pattern by nana company.
