OPAM...2012...Little House On The Hill!!!

Been a bit slow on the stitching front here...but luckily enough I did manage to finish a project for OPAM (One Project A Month) for January...
I have joined for the 3rd year this year...and I'm sure I wouldn't even be completing 1 project if I wasn't in this!!!
OPAM is hosted again this year by the lovely Kris and Peg...Thank You So Much Gals!!!

A little hand painted house button which was a project for one of our Stitching Days hosted by Fiona and Sylvia...This was so cute I thought...I fussy cut a few little  houses and stitched them back onto the  fabric in a couple of spots...

I couldn't find a frame for the little house and fabric so Deb (no blog) suggested I just add a piece to the ends and sides...she quickly chose one from my stash...

and all framed up now and fitting nicely!!!
Thanks so much Deb!!!

OPAM (One Project A Month) April...Progress on Bag...and a Surprise Card

For my OPAM this month I have done an appliqued tea towel...
All coming from this little basket of leftover bits...

Not a whole lot of stitching finished this month due to a birthday and Easter celebrations...but a bit happening in between but no other finishes!!!
The little heart on the basket fabric is from a little pram quilt made for little Lidija's arrival...
and the first and second pear are from Tilda fabrics sent to me by Simone!!!
OPAM is organized by Peg and Kris...thanks so much Gals...this inspires me to finish something each month!!!
If you get a chance do visit these blogs to be inspired and see all the other OPAMS!!!

Meanwhile, I have made a start on this pattern from Anni Downes ...

In the end I chose the variegated thread...

and doing it in Autumn colours!!!

Meanwhile a surprise card from Cattinka for my birthday...all the way from Germany!!!

Thank you Katrin...I did have a beautiful birthday!!!

With this full on Autumn weather I hope to get a bit further on with my bag...and hopefully try out my new oven which arrived on Wednesday...YAY!!!
I think morning tea will be on the go for tomorrow!!!

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
