You're Sweet Card

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're ready for a "Sweet" challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. This week the theme is "Sugar High" and we have some yummy inspiration for you. Click here for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Our sponsor this week is My Grafico and they provided us with the Tea Time Digital Stamp Set. There were a lot of wonderful options to choose from and I selected the cupcake for this You're Sweet Card. It's always fun to paper piece the cupcake liner and then I went a little crazy with Stickles for the the icing. I hope you will join the challenge this week and share your Sugar High creation with us! You have until mid-day on Monday, June 12th to add your link. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Let It Snow Card

Brrrr.... it's cold outside today! The sky is gray and gloomy and the wind is has a bitter bite. There is a possibility we may see a few snow flurries but it's not supposed to last long. It's a great day to cook a pot of stew for dinner. Of course that means I have to make a trip to the grocery store, but it will be worth it.

In anticipation of possibly seeing snow I made this Let It Snow Card with a Bugaboo Digi Stamp called Snowman 003. The image was colored with Copic markers and framed with a layer of Marina Mist cardstock where I fussy cut the window using a pair of deckle scissors by Fiskars. A light blue piece of cardstock was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder by Darice and Sky Blue chalk ink was added to the raised areas for detail. Once the card was assembled some Star Dust Stickles was added to the snow beneath the snowman for sparkle. The Let It Snow sentiment by Stampin' Up! was added which was anchored with one snowflake. Everything was adhered flat to make it easy to ship. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Bold Birthday Card

Good day! Becca at The Damsel of Distressed is celebrating her 30th birthday with a photo inspiration and link-up on her blog. To wish her a happy birthday I made this Bold Birthday Card using the colors from her photo along with a circle element for the focal area. The background was made using watercolor paper, pink and turquoise glimmer mist, blue watercolor ink, sour apple sparkles dimensional paint by Tulip and Stickles. There is really a lot of sparkle on this card that doesn't show up in the photo. The center circle stamp is by Close to My Heart and the birthday sentiment is by Hero Arts. Bright yellow cardstock was used to mat the circle and yellow twine wrapped three times for detail. Three sequins were added for some extra sparkle and that's it! I had a lot of fun making this card and I hope Becca likes it.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Precious Nativity Christmas Card

Sometimes cards don't turn out the way I originally envisioned them and that's definitely the case with this Precious Nativity Christmas Card. I'm not totally happy with my choice of patterned paper and it seems I got a little carried away with my gold Stickles. I should have gone with the less is more approach and stopped after I did the polka dots. Oh well, we live and learn, right? On a positive note, I really love the stamp by Stampendous! and it coordinates nicely with the inside sentiment by Print Works Collection. The star was cut with my Cricut machine and I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! for the Merry Christmas sentiment. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Spooky Tree Halloween Card

Halloween is a little over a month away! That means I better start making my Halloween Cards. I couldn't think of a better time to start than right now. I found a couple of challenges where I could play along. "ABC' Challenges is having a Tic Tac Toe challenge and I'm using the top row across for my selections. The challenge this week at Use it Tuesday is to use two hoarded supplies. This Spooky Tree Halloween Card was made using patterned papers from the Wicked Fun dsp by Stampin' Up! from a couple of years ago. I've been hoarding this paper because I really love the colors. The second hoarded supply is my black/white twine, I don't know why I hoard it when I can always buy more, but I do.

The main image in this Spooky Tree Halloween Card is from the Best of Halloween stamp set (134381) by Stampin' Up!. I added some black Stickles to the stripes of the patterned paper to add extra texture and sparkle to the card. After I first applied it, I was a little worried that I made the wrong choice. After it dried I was happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Monochrome Green Card

It's time for one more GREEN card! This Monochrome Green Card was made using this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch and there is a "twist" for this challenge. The twist is to use a Monochromatic Green colour scheme. I found another challenge called There She Goes and their challenge is to use Shades of Green. So, that's what I did. The flourish accents were cut with my Cricut machine and then I added some lime ice Stickles and rhinestones for a little sparkle. The Lucky Shamrock stamp is by Stampin' Up! and shamrock patterned paper by The Paper Studio. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

You're So Sweet Card

When you think of something sweet, what comes to mind? Chocolate, cookies, cake, fruit, or ice cream? This weeks theme at Created With Love Challenges is Something Sweet. I created this You're So Sweet Card using a free digital stamp called Icecream by Sliekje digi Stamps. I love the artwork in Sliekje's designs, they are so delicate and heartfelt. I coloured the image with a mix of Copics, colored pencils, and then I used stickles on the ice cream and Tulip puffy paint for the whipped cream. Mmmm.... I'd say we are starting Monday off pretty sweet!

Our sponsor this week is the Scrapbook Stamp Shop where you can buy scrapbook paper, discount card stock, scrapbook stickers, and discount paper punches. I hope you will check out our sponsor's website and play along this week by creating a sweet card for our challenge. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a wonderful day!

Snowflake Holiday Card

When it comes to card making I love using patterned paper, stamping, and embellishments.  Keeping a card one layer and casual can be a challenge for me.  This Snowflake Holiday Card was made using one layer and I kept it simple.  This is my first one layer card.  I'm entering it in the CASology challenge.  The challenge is to make a card using the cue word: happy.

Snowflake Holiday Card Supplies: White cardstock, black dye ink, snowflake stamp by studio g, Happy Holidays sentiment stamp by Stampabilities (swirly happy holidays, DR1138), Copic marker (B02), Ice Stickles in Arctic Ice, and rhinestones.

While I was busy posting my card, my cute crafting buddy was sunning himself next to my desk.  He doesn't have to work very hard to look this cute.  Have a wonderful Saturday!
