Getting Ready Card

Hello! It's super hot outside, so making a Christmas card seemed like a good idea. Thankfully, the month of July is coming to an end, but I didn't want the Christmas in July challenges to disappear without participating. So, I made this Getting Ready Card featuring the Getting Ready stamp by Colorado Craft Company. Copic markers were used to color the image and then the coordinating die used to cut it out. A piece of snowflake paper from the Winter Market paper pad by Carta Bella was used for the background. Everything was adhered flat onto a piece of blue cardstock and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎄

Christmas Thank You Card

Hello and Happy New Year! We have turned the chapter to the beginning of 2023, the pages are unwritten and waiting to be filled. I hope this year writes something wonderful!

I like to start the new year by making a Christmas Thank You Card. This year a dear friend surprised me with flowers, cupcakes and deli treats right before Christmas. So, I made this card for her. The tree was made using a very retired stamp by Stampin' Up!, it's from the Scentsational Season stamp set. The colors include: Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Merry Merlot. A little star sequin was added to the top of the tree and the nesting circle die cuts are from Unity Stamps. The Thank You sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set by Stampin' Up! and everything was adhered flat. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🎄

Meowy Christmas Card

Good day and Merry Christmas! It's just the hubby and I at home today and since he was taking a nap, I decided to make this Meowy Christmas Card. Since I went back to work, it's been harder to find time to make cards. This year I didn't have enough handmade Christmas cards to send everyone on my list, so I sent everyone boxed cards. The few I made this year will hang out in my stash until next year.

This Meowy Christmas Card was made using the From The Cat stamp set by Graciellie Designs available at Unity Stamps. I colored the cat to look like Chester, we rescued him in October. He is such a handful!  So sweet when he is sleeping, but a crazy cat when he is awake. The patterned papers are from the Let It Snow paper pad by Doodlebug Designs (2021). Three layered snowflakes were added for detail and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!🎅

Christmas Card with Santa

Hello! At the beginning of this year I planned on making two handmade Christmas Cards each month. Well, that didn't happen. I didn't even make one Christmas Card a month. Needless to say... not everyone on my card list is getting a handmade card this year. Thankfully, I purchased the Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin kit in October and this Christmas Card with Santa is a modified design from the kit. I added the strip of gingham paper and used a piece of retired Baked Brown Sugar cardstock behind the die cut background. Everything else is from the kit. As always, I adhered everything flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎅

To create my card I used an image by Pink & Main from the Homespun Christmas stamp set. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die. Then it was layered on top of patterned paper layers that were die cut with the Frames and Flags die set by Newton's Nook. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Ewe Christmas Card

Good day and thanks for stopping by my blog. My parents raised sheep for nearly 30 years. So, when I find cute sheep stamps I tend to add them to my stash. Today I'm sharing this Ewe Christmas Card featuring the Fleece Navidad stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. It's designed by Crissy Armstrong, she creates the cutest stamps. This stamp has been in my stash for many years, but this was the first time I inked it up. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock by Stampin' Up!. All the patterned papers are from the Christmas Magic paper pad by Echo Park (2021). That's it! The design is simple and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks again for stopping by!🎄

Christmas Treeline Card

The image is super easy to color, so this card came together fairly quickly. Three punched snowflakes were added for detail and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day. 🎄

Merry and Bright Card - TMS #644

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are starting with our first new sketch for 2022 and it's by Debbie Foster. I ventured away from a literal interpretation and used the Christmas ornaments in place of the circle element. The sentiment banner is a little further down the card to give more space for the greenery, but I think you can clearly see the sketch in my interpretation. To make this Merry and Bright Card I used a stamp set by Pink & Main called Deck the Halls with a sentiment by Lawn Fawn and the images were colored with Copic markers. We would love for you to join us this week! Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cats Merry Christmas Card

Merry Christmas! I hope the true meaning of the day brings you joy and peace. A lot of my joy comes from our four cats, so I made this Cats Merry Christmas Card for our feline veterinarian. Although, when the card was finished I didn't want to give it away. I colored the cat images to look like our cats and spent hours to complete the card, so I couldn't let it go. I ended up making a color copy and adhering it to a card base. Looking at them you couldn't tell the difference, you had to feel the difference with the raised die cuts. You may find me doing the same thing again next year. It saved a ton of time!

All images are by Lawn Fawn from the Christmas Dreams and Meow You Doin' stamp sets along with the coordinating dies. Copic markers were used to color the images and some glossy accents added to the star and chocolate milk glass. Some clear Stickles were added to the top of the stockings and everything was adhered flat. That's it! I'm so glad you stopped by and may the rest of your day be wonderful.🎄

Song of Snowflakes Card

Hello! I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Today I'm sharing this Song of Snowflakes Card that I made for a friend. I really love this card! Initially, I had a hard time deciding on the patterned papers, but I'm happy with my blue choice. The papers are from the My Favorite Winter paper pad by Echo Park (2019). The stamp set used if by Newton's Nook and it's called Winter Birds. Copic markers were used to color the images and then the coordinating dies to cut them out. Back in 2018 I made a similar card and I almost made an exact duplicate, but I'm glad I changed things up. To finish off this card three punched snowflakes were added and everything was adhered flat. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!❄🐦❄

Peace on Earth Card - TMS Anything Goes

Hello! Are all your Christmas cards mailed? I have to admit that I made cards until the day I went to the post office. This Peace on Earth Card was my final card I made and it was mailed to my parents. I'm sharing it today featured in our annual Anything Goes challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Originally I wanted to make something other than a card, but time just didn't allow. I do hope you have time to share your latest project with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's the one time of year our challenge isn't sketch specific. You can find the challenge details and design team inspiration HERE. Thanks for stopping by and supporting my creativity!

The stamp set used on this card is called A Time of Peace from Unity Stamps.

Howl-idays Card - TMS #636

Oh my... this month is going by way too fast! I've been working on Christmas cards and made this Howl-idays Card using this weeks challenge sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Instead of the traditional red and green, I decided to mix it up and use red and blue colors. The image is by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers then die cut with the coordinating die. Two patterned papers were cut the same size and then I cut the ends off two corners of the plaid paper to follow the sketch. The edges of the center panel were cut using a pair of Fiskars scissors and some tumbled glass distress ink added before adhering the image. To finish it off three red glimmer stickers were added and that's it. We would love for you to give the sketch a try and link it to the challenge. Holiday Dearies Card

Hello! I hope you're having a great day. Today I'm sharing this Holiday Dearies Card I made using a stamp set from Unity Stamps. The deer were colored with Copic markers in varying brown tones. For this card I didn't want to use the traditional red and green, so I picked a blue patterned paper from the Snow Much Fun paper pad by Carta Bella (2019). The layout is very simple and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!

Poinsettia Christmas Cards

Hello! When it comes to Christmas stamp sets I truly love the Poinsettia Petals by Stampin' Up!. I've really enjoyed coloring with this set. Christmas Frog Card

Hello crafty friends! If you're thinking that you've seen a card made with this image lately, then you are right I posted it (HERE) a couple of days ago. Since I had the Cuddlebug Frog stamp out I just had to make another Christmas Frog Card. The design for this card was cased from a card by Karen Maldonado. I love how she used a holly stamp at the top of the focal panel and her card is probably the reason I bought the stamp set. My holly stamp isn't as pretty but it's what I had, it's from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set by Stampin' Up!. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. A die set by Newton's Nook called Frames & Flags was used to create the layers and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!🎄

Cuddlebug Frog Card - TMS #630

Good day! When it comes to making Christmas cards I tend to procraftinate, but I'm trying to do better. So, using this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches I made this Cuddlebug Frog Card. When it came to patterned paper selection I promise you I went through every Christmas 6 x 6 paper pad I have and finally decided to cut into the 12 x 12 Painted Christmas dsp by Stampin' Up!. It just had the look I wanted and I love all the different shades of green. We would love for you to join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches! Just use the sketch for your creation and link up HERE by 8 pm EST on Sunday. The design team did a terrific job and I know they look forward to seeing what you create. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎄
