Get Wellie Soon Card

Good day! It's getting late, but I wanted to post this Get Wellie Soon Card just in case my tomorrow doesn't go as planned. 😊 The colors were selected to play along with the Inky Paws challenge to use: Pistachio Green, Golden Yellow, Navy Blue and White. It was fun trying to figure out what images to use with these colors. I finally decided on Newton's Rain Boots and used Copic markers to color. Once the images were colored the coordinating dies were used to cut them out. The yellow striped paper is from the new Springtime paper pad by Newton's Nook and the Pistachio Pudding polka dot is retired by Stampin' Up!. Some die cut grass was added and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Get Whale Soon Card

Hello and happy Tuesday! It's amazing how fast two weeks goes bye but it has and that means it's team B's turn to host the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. Our theme this week is the ever so popular Anything Goes. It does have to be something new, no links to a previous post but other than that... it's anything goes. Our sponsor this week is the Cutting Cafe and the design team have used the Under the Sea printable stamp set to create our inspiration. The set includes 11 different images and 18 sentiments in pdf format. With all the choices I decided to use the cute whale image for a more masculine "Get Whale Soon" card. We would love for you to join us this week! Click here to check out the design team inspiration and all the challenge details. You have until mid-day next Monday, August 22nd to link your creation. Hope to see you in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Feel Better Card with Bird

Maybe you know someone who hasn't felt well lately and you want to make them a handmade card. This week we have the perfect challenge at Tuesday Throwdown for this occasion, our theme is Under the Weather and our sponsor is CraftyGirl Creations. For my card I used the image called Bird Doodle. This sweet bird is sure to brighten someone's day. We would love for you to play along with our challenge this week. Click here for all the challenge details and to view the wonderful inspiration the design team created. You have until mid-day Monday Jan. 25th to link your creation.

The colors used on this Feel Better Card are Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Basic Black by Stampin' Up!. To color the bird I used Warm Grey and Flesh Pink Copic markers. The vine was colored with and Old Olive Stampin' Write marker and then I went over it with a Dim Green Copic marker. To pull in the same colors as the stamped Petite Petal flowers I used some patterned paper from the Pretty Petals paper stack by Stampin' Up!. Three sequins were added to the flowers and the final step was stamping the Feel Better sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set by Stampin' Up!. That's it!

Bloom for You Get Well Card

Hooray for Friday! This morning I have a quick post to share before I leave to visit my nieces. It seems early but they start school next week.

I made this Bloom for You Get Well Card using the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. The layout is simple but the border punches adds some interest. Using the Island Indigo patterned paper for the background made a nice contrast to the Crisp Cantaloupe flower. The sentiment was stamped using the retired Perfectly Penned stamp set and I added the leaves that were made using the retired Little Leaves Sizzlits die. All supplies are by Stampin' Up!. I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Get Well Card

When it comes to colours, I love purples, greens, and aqua.  The Basic Grey paper I used in this weeks Paper Players Challenge is one of my favorites.  My opinion of Get Well Cards is they should be pretty and cheerful.  Hopefully when my neighbor receives this card it will put a smile on her face.

Get Well Card Supplies:  Cream cardstock, patterned paper by Basic Grey (Sweet Threads Collection, a-line dress/ swt-3284 & boutique shopping/ swt-3272), plum textured cardstock by American Crafts, Cricut machine, Cricut cartridges (Straight from the Nest and George and Basic Shapes), clear mini stamp by Studio 112 (flower, 60-30905), clear sentiment stamp by TPC Studios (Greetings, ST93416), pigment ink stack by Martha Stewart Crafts (colours used: ocean and dusk blue), Stampendous! embossing powder in translucent pearl, heat tool by The Paper Studio, gemstone by The Paper Studio (rainbow asst., 317693), and stampin' dimensionals.
