I Like Big Books Card

Hello! My project today was to make my youngest niece a card for Back to School. She loves books and I found the perfect digital stamp and sentiment by Bugaboo, it's called Big Books Girl. The image was colored with my Copic markers and I used patterned paper by DCWV the Spring Mix stack. For the layout I used a sketch from the Sketch N Stash blog.  To add detail I used yellow doodle twine and six green iridescent gemstones by Recollections. I'm pretty sure she is going to love this card and that makes me happy. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cute Peacock Card

Good evening! I have a quick post to share this Cute Peacock Card. The peacock digital image is from Doodle Pantry. It came pre-colored and I used the coordinating digital paper. The layout is from this weeks sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. My crafty friend, Jessi Fogan at OneCraftyMama designed the sketch. The only change I made was to the twine area. My image is on the larger side so I had to make room for the three gemstones. I love the bright colors in this cute peacock and I intentionally didn't use a sentiment to keep my options open. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Pumpkin Panda Halloween Card

Good evening! Today I was in the mood to make something cute! On my list of cute animals is the Panda and this Doodle Pantry image is definitely a cutie. The layout for this Pumpkin Panda Halloween Card comes from this weeks sketch at The Sweet Stop. The patterned papers are by American Crafts and the Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748 wood, 127802 clear) by Stampin' Up!. The final touches were some black and white twine and three gemstones. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Hello Card

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! This morning I planted a flat of petunias in my front flower bed. Then I spent some time in my craft room creating this Hello Card. I used the BINGO challenge at Simply Create Too for the design elements of my card. I used the "I" row which called for: Green, Banner, Gems, Embossing and Circles.  I heat embossed the Lacy & Lovely circles by Stampin' Up! with Gumball Green and used Black and Melon Mambo as accent colors. The green patterned paper is from the Amy Tangerine collection by American Crafts and the sentiment stamp is from TPC Studios. The design is simple but I really love the bright green with the black contrast. Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Greetings Card

Well, another weekend bites the dust. We did go to the movies to see OZ The Great and Powerful. It was definitely worth the price of a ticket. The colours and visual effects were beautiful. I didn't read the reviews or spoilers before I watched it, I just went and enjoyed the story.

To finish off my weekend I made this Easter Greetings Card using a sketch from the Come and Get It challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said, so I popped over to their site and purchased this adorable Easter Chicky pre-colored digital stamp. I just loved it the second I saw it and couldn't wait to make this card. Well, thanks for stopping by and have a terrific week!

International Bazaar Card

Today is Monday.  That means it's time for another great challenge from MOJO Monday.  This week features a great sketch designed by Mary Fish.  I was excited to open my new designer series paper and Lacy & Lovely stamp set from Stampin' Up! for this challenge.  The International Bazaar collection features beautiful rich colours and great design elements.  I debated on using a sentiment or leaving it blank, but I decided a Hello sentiment works great because you can turn it into whatever occasion you need.  I really love how the International Bazaar card turned out.

International Bazaar Card Supplies:
  • Paper: White cardstock, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade cardstock and International Bazaar designer series paper by Stampin' Up!
  • Texture: Fancy fan embossing folder and rich razzleberry 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon by Stampin' Up! and Sizzix Texture Boutique.
  • Stamps: Lacy & Lovely stamp set by Stampin' Up!
  • Inks: Classic stampin' pads in lucky limeade, rich razzleberry, and early espresso.
  • Bling: Rainbow gemstone assortment by The Paper Studio (item #317693).

50% Off Adhesive Gemstones

It's the small things which sparkle that can add dimension, texture, and pizazz to your cards.  The deal I found this week is 50% off adhesive gemstones from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby.  There have been many times that I wanted more gemstones or rhinestones to choose from in my craft stash.  This week I added a rainbow of colors and some great jeweltones, now I have more to choose from.  The 50% off adhesive gemstones promotion runs through April 14, 2012.
