Cains Brewery Con Job-The Dusanj Brothers Are Selling Out Our History For More Empty Apartments.

And it looks like they have got the backing of Joe Anderson and Co.
The planners must have been working on this scheme to develop the site with the owners of the company as they have already issued the press releases to the gullable Daily Ghost and Oldham Echo who promoted it for them on April 11th.

They told how wonderful it was to be in the local rag.

Cains announce £50m ‘Brewery Village’ plan to breathe new life into historic Liverpool site

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2013/04/11/cains-announce-50m-brewery-village-plan-to-breathe-new-life-into-historic-site-100252-33153568/

Now a month later Alaistair Houghton writes

Union officials will visit Cains today to meet staff who lost their jobs after the company suspended its brewing operations.
Cains announced on Friday it was closing its loss-making supermarket own-label brewing and canning operation and axing 38 jobs.
The company, run by brothers Sudarghara and Ajmail Dusanj, has also started negotiations to sub-contract the brewing of Cains beers to a third party.
Franny Joyce, regional officer for Unite, is to meet affected workers to discuss what action they can take. Just 18 jobs remain at the site.
Production of beer at Cains’ landmark Stanhope Street site, off Parliament Street, stopped the week before last.
Cains said production will only resume if it wins permission to develop the site into a £50m “brewery village”.
The plans, revealed in the ECHO last month, would see the Grade II-listed redbrick original brewery building refurbished to house a craft brewery, a hotel, shops and a “delicatessen-type” food hall. A sky bar would also be installed on the roof.
The production sheds that face Parliament Street would be replaced by a supermarket with apartments on top.
Cains will submit its plans to Liverpool City Council this summer. If approved, work could start next year – but would take up to two years to complete.
On Friday a Cains spokesman told the ECHO: “Brewing at the site has been suspended while we progress our Brewery Village scheme and we are in negotiations to sub-contract the brewing of Cains products to a third- party brewery during this interim period.
“The nature of our brewery is such that its operation cannot be scaled down in a simple fashion and it would be financial madness to continue with such huge overheads for a relatively small brewing operation.”
He added: “We have said all along that the brewery is at the heart of our plans for the Brewery Village scheme and this remains the case.
“The existing brewery will be redesigned during the anticipated redevelopment so that it is more efficient and better suited for future use.
“We are continuing to discuss matters with our advisors about how we best manage winding up the current canning and brewery side of the business.
“Cains is alive and kicking and we are extremely positive about our future plans, which will secure brewing in the city for decades to come.”

Another disgraceful move by the owners. They put alot of people out of work when they went bust then were allowed to buy back the company. It is a disgrace. City council should not allow any planning permission for these people as they are only looking to line their own pockets by ripping others off.

WHY ARE THE LOCAL PRESS NOT QUESTIONING THESE FLY BOY TACTICS.
WHEN WERE THESE PLANS HATCHED?

The brothers have a history of playing fast and loose with the brewery and its workforce that doesn't bode well for their ambitious plans for the redevelopment of the site.
Here's an account of some pretty suspect practices reported in the Echo in 2008:
It would be reassuring to see the Echo take a more critical stance towards the local business community.

DAVID BARTLETT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF FOR NOT QUESTIONING THESE PLANS BUT JOLLYING IT UP AS A GOOD NEWS STORY ON APRIL 11TH

HE WROTE

CAINS has launched an ambitious bid to create a £50m ‘Brewery Village’ on its historic Liverpool site.
The plan involves restoring its original Grade II listed building to house a craft brewery, a hotel, digital studios, a delicatessen-type food hall, independent shops and a sky bar on the roof.
The sheds at the front of the site on Parliament Street would be demolished to make way for a supermarket with apartments built on top.
Stanhope Street, which runs through the middle of the seven-acre site but is closed to traffic, would be opened up to help create a market street type environment.
The company hopes the new “village” would become an extension of the nearby budding Baltic Triangle creative area.

TO HOUSE A CRAFT BREWERY...............Why did he not question them?
Why did he turn this into a good news story?
Probably because its been spoon fed to him by some dodgy PR company.
He dismisses the buildings as sheds, when this is where people work.

Shame on you David a month later the real news comes out.
You have been conned.

You published a glass half full story when the glass was half empty.

This area has grants available.

Will the Cains con-job that putspeople on he dole recieve a development grantto put people out of work?
Will the site be a Tesco?
We all know "Every little hurts".

Louise Ellmans constituancy again.....while she is stating how important jobs are for the city when she is promoting her friends at Peel Holdings, she keeps her head down again.

Peel Holdings Pillorised by Salford Residents. Are You Listening Mayor Anderson.

Are they the worst most unscrupulous developer that we have ever encountered?  http://www.salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=1688 Draining the public purse. Are they Government Grant farmers?
Peel Holdings have got Liverpool put on the Unesco World Heritage "In Danger" List. What a shower of arrogant bastards http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/peel-holdings-arrogant-bastards.html they are
But we are not alone,  all over the North West the Peel Organisation are trying to get away with whatever they want...............and they are supported by Louise Ellman who may remember them from her Lancashire County Council days that I am sure she would like to forget.
PEEL HOLDINGS WORSLEY PLANS SLAMMED BY SALFORD RESIDENTS

http://www.salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=1681
Star date: 5th February 2013
OVER 600 RESIDENTS VOICE OPPOSITION TO PEEL'S GREENFIELD HOUSING PLANS
Last night, over six hundred residents met to unanimously oppose plans by Peel Holdings and Taylor Wimpey to build hundreds of houses on greenfield sites in and around Worsley, Roe Green, Ellenbrook and Boothstown.
A steering group has been set up and people are being urged to join the campaign to fight planning applications which are expected in the immediate future…
A hint of what was to come appeared last April when a Habitat Appraisal of areas around Worsley was commissioned by Peel Holdings. The study, by Ecological Services Ltd and listing an array of stunning fauna and flora, concluded that "The marketing of 'an excellent network of footpaths and variety of wildlife habitats on your doorstep' would surely appeal to many home buyers'.

The survey didn't state whether building hundreds of homes on the local greenfield sites would harm, and maybe destroy, the `variety of wildlife habitats on your doorstep'.
After the Planning Inspector basically told Salford Council to tear up its Core Strategy which protected much of the city's green belt and greenfield sites (see here), and armed with ConDem Government's free for all National Planning Policy Framework, developers are literally having a field day.
Peel Holdings and developer Taylor Wimpey are planning to build over five hundred houses either side of Worsley Road (Broadoak North and South) in what Wimpey calls its `Garden City' concept. Elsewhere, according to campaigners, there are plans afoot for…
…140 houses off Vicars Hall Lane/Highclove Lane, 19 houses on Greylag Crescent, Ellenbrook, 23 houses Simpson Grove, Boothstown, 50 houses off Lumber Lane, Roe Green, up to 200 houses Crossfield Drive, Worsley, 450 houses at Hazelhurst, Worsley, 18 units on Boothstown canal basin, 15 houses off Mesne Lea Road, Worsley, and 60 houses behind Roe Green Cric. Peel Holdings' fingers are in the financial pie of most of the developments.
Last night over six hundred residents packed into St Marks Church, Worsley, to hear the plans and launch a campaign against destruction of greenfield sites. The meeting was called by local Tory councillors but also attended by Barbara Keeley, Labour MP for Worsley and Eccles South.
Community leaders, including Andrew Moore from WRAGE (Worsley Residents Against Greenfield Erosion), expressed their concerns about the developments, including increased traffic congestion, and the resulting air pollution, loss of green space and the impact on already overstretched schools.
A steering group is being set up and there was a request for people to come forward who have skills to help the campaign and launch a fund to fight the forthcoming planning applications.
Meanwhile, Taylor Wimpey are holding two sessions of consultation exhibitions on Thursday and Friday this week (7th and 8th February) at the Novotel Hotel on Worsley Brow. Residents are asked to attend to show their opposition to the Broadoak `Garden City' development.
For further information see http://www.broadoakworsley.co.uk/
For further information and news on the campaign see the Worsley Civic Trust website – click here
There is also a WRAGE facebook group which you have to apply to join – see here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/wrage/
The Battle Lines Are Drawn...
A first hand account of the meeting by resident and campaigner Steve Allington...
Several hundred braced the cold and wintry conditions last night to show their solidarity in uniting against the proposed development of 1,600 homes in and around the Worsley, Boothstown and Ellenbrook areas.
The main areas affected would be Worsley Road where up to 600 homes are planned adjacent to Bridgewater School and on the opposite side, effectively linking Worsley Village to Broadoak Park, Crossfield Drive where up to 200 homes are planned on farm land desecrating current woodland walks and 450 homes on green belt land off Hazelhurst Road.
However, not satisfied with concreting these areas Peel and Taylor Wimpey are proposing to put plans in to shoe horn 75 homes into Lumber Lane, Roe Green, and 60 houses behind Beesley Green community centre adjacent to the local cricket and tennis club.
Mention was also made by local councillors of the need to support residents of Irlam and Cadishead who face losing green belt land to 1,400 homes erected by the developers.
The vote in favour of a concentrated protest and challenge to the plans was passed unanimously and a steering group will now mobilise residents, councillors and local community groups to fight the plans.
The first act will be to storm the Novotel Worsley - when Peel Holdings unveil their planned build on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th February - and voice dissent.
Peel Holdings and Taylor Wimpey will be left in no doubt that they are not wanted.
Local residents fought off the threat of a racecourse in the village several years back and they are confident they can win this battle. Protesters voiced concern over lack of school places, traffic congestion, air quality, over burdening local NHS dental and GP practices as well as the impact it would have on conservation and leisure activities for Salford residents.
Exiting the meeting, resident Graeme Mooney complained about traffic congestion stating, "Each morning it takes me longer to get onto the motorway driving the 1 mile from my home in Roe Green to the grid locked Worsley roundabout than it does to then drive to my office in Warrington. Where the hell are these extra cars going to go? We have one of the busiest motorway intersections in the UK running through a tiny village".
Meanwhile, our schools are already over subscribed and these plans make no provision for more additional places. Who is going to buy the houses anyway? Worsley is already strewn with overpriced new builds at the Boatyard and Stableford that they can't sell now. Why do we need more?

"Worsley is one of the last tracts of green open space Salford is lucky to possess" said Roe Green resident Steve Rennie "Concreting over, what is a vital green lung of our city is something Peel and Taylor Wimpey should never be allowed to do..."

Heres one or two we did earlier.

Manchester High Speed Rail Link-The Biggest Threat To Liverpool Since The Manchester Ship Canal.

Why were the local press not fighting against this High Speed Rail link going to Manchester? That would make Liverpool a branch line of Manchester. How have Peel Holdings, Joe Anderson and Louise Ellman got away with this?  Why did they not fight harder for Liverpool? The link should have gone to the Port of Liverpool. One of the reasons this blog was set up was to highlight the lack of foresight to wider issues and one of the first posts we did was a critique of the then Daily Post and Echo, and how they did not report that plans for a 500 million pound planning application had been passed for Port Salford that would enable the owners of the Manchester Ship Canal to circumnavigate Liverpool. The applicants were peel Holdings who look set to lose Liverpool its WHS status. Unesco,  having recently put Liverpool on the World Heritage "In Danger" list.
Taking into account that not only are Peel Holdings intending to blight us with the proposed inaproppriate development, turning...our docks into stagnant frappacino fluff area with 6000 apartments stacked like glass shoeboxes on top of one another. They look set to put the final nail in Liverpools manufacturing coffin by sending any chance of any future industry down the Manchester Ship Canal, to an area that is now setting itself up, to take control of any manufacturing in the North West.....Salford.
Just like its merchants attempted in Victorian times when the Ship Canal was in fact built to bypass us here in Liverpool.
The Ghosts of Dockers Past must be rolling in thier graves, at how this once proud port now looks set to become a suburb of Manchester..........right under the noses of everyone. Why were the powerbrokers not doing anything about it...........Louise Ellman.

Joe Anderson should hang his head in shame at activly encouraging this to happen.

Joe Anderson invented his certificate on the wall is a PR stunt that enables Peel Holdings to decimate this area and stop any future industry that may wish to come here.

Meanwhile some kid called Joe Thomas at The Liverpool Echo says

THE Government today insisted Liverpool will benefit from the new high-speed rail network – even though the new line will not extend to Merseyside.
 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2013/01/28/high-speed-rail-will-benefit-merseyside
Tell you what lets just get Peel Holdings to write it.

The Florrie-What An Inspiration to see its restoration.

Toxteth has had some rotten luck over the decades.
Neglected by a City Council more concerned by yuppie flats and adding to the Duke of Westminster’s fiefdom, than looking after its more run down places.
it is was always going to be a mammoth task to save anything in and around such a neglected area.

Wayne popped into the Florrie and was blown away by its rebirth which was a result of people power and the prolonged tenacity of a small group of local dedicated campaigners who have made something happen.

“When I was restoring listed buildings for a living it was always a disappointment when on completion of the task, it actually looked like nothing had been done".

I am afraid I was one of those people on Saturday last who had to compliment all concerned because it looked like it should have and would have.
But it is hard to believe that this place never had a roof and had water creeping into it for ages.
The saving grace was that it was built of such good glazed brick that did exactly what it should have done, and kept out the elements and protect the structure despite the roof falling in.

This wasn’t a council job in fact it is a shame that ex council leader Warren Bradley had been driving his fire applicance around his beat, which is Toxteth, probably turned the hose pipe to put out fires there on numerous occasions.
We lost Beaufort Street school just over the way as a direct result of Warren “warzone” Bradley’s ineptitude to be able to look further than his nose and comprehend the state of affairs that was Toxeth’s decline.

It is a breath of fresh air to know that there are people who get up off their behinds, believe in quality of community and put their energy and commitment into something that can give them the sense of satisfaction for being involved in a mammoth task that will probably not benefit them financially.
But how  can you sum up a group whose dedication will benefit the whole of Toxteth.
The Florrie could be Toxeth’s Albert Dock, its turning point, its navigation out of the doldrums.  Looking to the future but remembering the past.  And more importantly showing a sense of community is at the heart of Toxteth, still, no matter what it has been through.

I bumped into Tom Calderbank, who I was as impressed today as I was with him years ago when I first met him.  Though he is not the only one, he is typical of the people that have made this happen and I have to take my hat off to them.  If this city has more people who understood the depth of their community can start from the ghosts of old buildings it would be on the path to greatness, stirring a course away from the recent homogenisation.

Thank God Urban Splash didn’t get their hands on this.

With the renovation of Toxeth Town Hall there is a now a key series of buildings that can make people believe again.
Maybe they could tackle the library in Lodge Lane now, which seems to have been ignored by Louise Ellman and co, while declaring the decimation of the central docks in the WHS would be of benefit to Liverpool, thus abandoning the need to infill those parts of the Dingle that desperately need bringing back to life. Transferring much needed  Toxteth jobs up river.

Tom showed me around and showed me the Great Hall, with its beamed ceiling and its sense of history.  There is a Heritage Centre showing scenes from the past.  The Gymnasium is being restored where the likes of Alan Rudkin trained and generations before met.
The Cafe now has cream scones and tea and they hope to be supplying it from the allotments next door in the future.  There is an overall feeling of friendship and enthusiasm.  And I hope the trench lines have been drawn, and from now it is forward marching and forward thinking encompassing the spirit of Toxeth.
The Florrie can be held up as what can be achieved and give inspiration for other historic building in and around the Toxeth/Dingle area.

The grand opening on 18th July will be performed by Jimmy Tarbuck.  More details can be founmd www.theflorrie.org.

Peel Group Investigated by BBC.

Yesterdays Sunday Politics show had one of the "sinister" Peel Holdings directors questioned by Ari Ansari.
Arif is no Jeremy Paxman but he tried to bring them to account.
Inside Out tonight will also feature a look into their stranglehold on the region.
Watch it here http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/b01c14s6/

What is alarming is how Luciana Berger the MP for Wavertree is so out of touch saying Peel Holdings have now dealt with the Unesco concerns. This is what happens when you have absentee M.P's representing the region. Why was Louise Ellman not asked questions as it is her constituency?

Warren's War Zones Ignite.

The looters were out in force, one got a plasma screen, one got a set of dining chairs, one a dirty movie, and another got a duck house, and not one of them had a hood on.
Just what is wrong with society when thieves are operating right in front of your noses and stealing from their own......... and they are the very Members of Parliament that were elected to stop theft, to protect us?.
Where has the respect gone?

What is wrong with society when the Police are taking back'anders off the corrupted press?

What is wrong with society when Matrix officers are sacked by the Merseyside Police for having a total disrespect for the people, be they goodies or hoodies, that they represent?.
What is wrong with society when a City Council destroys its own people's hopes by creating blight in whole swathes of Toxteth, Anfield, Norris Green etc, etc? Degenerating huge swathes of the city.

What is wrong with society when our own city council by its own leaders admission creates "War Zones" while some of his councillor buddies are coining it?
While others are dole-ing out millions of pounds of European Objective One funds, y'know the billion pounds that we had to enable us to clean up those "Inner Cities" after the Toxteth Riots of 81.
While its alright for a Council to destroy a neighbourhood such as the Welsh Streets, its certainly not if you live there and are at the end of your wits, watching your father duck and dive because he hasn't got a job and has no prospect of one, got the wrong postcode and no education.
Never got an apprenticeship, never got a look in on the billion pounds that went into a new museum on the waterfront and blocks of flats that you cant live in.
What happens when you can't afford to shop in Grosvenor-pool, that was looted from the people of Liverpool, err I mean given away to a lovely Duke to add to his already sizable fiefdom?
What happens when your MP is a hopeless waste of time.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/04/louise-ellman-dame-of-dereliction-time.html

Well I don't condone any of the violence that were called riots, by the local press to sensationalize it all.
http://condensedthoughts.blogspot.com/2011/08/dealing-with-distortion.html
Correspondent calls it a distortion of the facts.
Most of the local press are about 12 years of age, and they got a chance in life, what do they know of poverty, some of them even went out of the office this week.
But they don't have to get "sussed" everytime they go out for a new sim card. Blame the parents, blame the schools. Blame anyone but yourself at Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors of Oldham Hall Street, filling pages with rubbish about how we are in a new dawn, a new age of prosperity spoon fed through from PR people such as Jon Egan and Larry Nield. While ignoring the true situation.

What of the vandals of 6 Sir Thomas Street http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/10/6-sir-thomas-street-every-right-to-feel.html or Josephine Butler House in Hope Street.
Are they no better than thugs?
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/03/no-hope.html

I have already written on these pages of my own experiences during the Toxteth Riots.
My current adjacent shopkeeper owned the newsagents in Granby Street where it all started.
You would have had to have been there believe the state of Toxteth with decades of neglect. Why is it still a War Zone 30 years later?
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/louise-ellman-mp-dame-of-dereliction.html

So the so called rioters attacked Lawrence Road, believe me this is a poor area and why?

Why didn't the FibDems invest in the area, instead of creating War Zones, now on fire, in Toxteth, that, Ironically Warren Bradley the ex FibDm Council leader, who is a fireman and drives an appliance, would have been called to put out.
Did he actually extinguish the burnt out car in Princes Avenue in the picture above?

 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/04/warren-bradley-resigns-and-then-is.html

What happens for the future, Joe Anderson has to condemn the lost causes on the streets the other night that the Police sorted out (In reality it rained like stink).

Yes I would like to put most of them over my knee and tan their arses, but you know what would be better.......give the poor hopeless bastards a job, let them train as a joiner or a bricklayer so they can gain some self respect, so it never happens again.

How can we respect hem if they don't respect themselves.

Liverpool Burning-Toxteth Riots, Deja Vu

I sat watching the news last night and I heard the Police Sirens, just as I saw the image of a burning building in Tottenham. It looked strangely like the Rialto burning all those decades ago.
I thought, oh no not again, not 30 years after the Toxteth riots.
I recall thinkng where would they start would it be the deprived area of Toxteth which has had nothing of investment, when the city centre half a mile away has been flat-ulated?
Would it be Anfield? that looks like Beirut in places, or the Boot estate? Norris Green maybe?

No it was Lodge Lane, 30 years ago I seen the riots first hand.
Now I am lucky enough to not be there.
This morning I saw the Police Dog Vans parked up at Canning Street Police Headquarters where I served part of my apprenticeship and the Police car parked outside John Lewis at Grosvenor-pool that cost a billion pounds.
What good is this when you have no money I thought, it only serves to wind up the deprived section of society, the have nots.
The front page of The Daily Ghost said  "Speed cameras could be axed on Merseyside as councils struggle with cuts" What!!http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/08/09/speed-cameras-could-be-axed-on-merseyside-as-councils-struggle-with-cuts-92534-29201951/
The Echo carried a picture of a burning Liverpool and a statement from the Police on how they were caught out. Is this a lack of funds through Tory cuts?
 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news//tm_headline=merseyside-police-assistant-chief-andy-ward-proud-of-his-officers-but-admits-force-were-caught-out-initially%26method=full%26objectid=29204172%26siteid=100252-name_page.html

Princes Avenue was also an area last night where cars were set alight.

Joe "tea and sympathy" Anderson condemns the violence in his buddy Liouse Ellman constituancy. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/04/louise-ellman-dame-of-dereliction-time.html
What has she been doing? Why is this area still deprived? The Dame of Dereliction.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news//tm_headline=liverpool-council-leader-joe-anderson-mayor-mps-and-community-workers-condemn-last-night-s-riots%26method=full%26objectid=29204127%26siteid=100252-name_page.html

The Echo says http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news//tm_headline=voice-of-the-echo-liverpool-mustn-t-let-these-yobs-ruin-everything-we-have-achieved-with-mindless-violence%26method=full%26objectid=29204193%26siteid=100252-name_page.html "It took Liverpool 30 years to rebuild a pride and a reputation shattered by the ravages of Thatcherism and the riots of Toxteth.

Two or three more nights like last night is all it will take to destroy them again".

That's easy for an editor Alastair Machray who along with the Daily Ghost lives on the Wirral.
The comments section talks about lack of respect for the Police.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2011/08/04/five-merseyside-police-matrix-officers-sacked-over-mobile-phone-pictures-taken-during-raids-100252-29174703/
5 Matrix officers were sacked last week for lewd behaviour. How can you respect these thugs.
This violence may be motivated by a lack of respect, I must admit whilst condemning any violence I lost respect too when I realised the Police got paid by the press.

So 30 years on The Regeneration con continues and the streets are burning again. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/louise-ellman-mp-dame-of-dereliction.html I know I was there last time, Just what is going to happen tonight?

The North "Vested Interest" Development Agency.

Or in short "Systers Are Us".
How many dodgy deals have these grey suited flanneurs at the NWDA got away with.
Even right in front of the noses of the world on a world heritage site, the corrupted system that was and is Liverpool's regeneration is made a mockery of.
Considering that Mike Storey was on the board that is hardly surprising.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/09/city-has-been-run-by-spivs-and-gamblers.html

Joe Anderson,  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/04/mann-island-is-penny-finally-dropping.html let it all happen while the Labour party used it as a foil for their election campaign.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/joe-anderson-spiving-for-peel-holdings.html
Yet they rush headlong into bed with Peel Holdings whose ex chief executive a Mr Hough then became the Chairman of the NWDA. Louise Ellman with links the North Vested Interest Development agency and the GONW did nothing.
It stinks to high tide how they got away with this and now, "The Prisoner" David Bartlett at Port Merrion on the Mersey throws some light on the subject for the Daily Ghost. Claiming its all, now alright, the taxpayer will, well it says could benefit, and a Daily Ghost could,  means stuff all.  http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/01/14/taxpayers-could-recoup-liverpool-waterfront-mann-island-millions-92534-27983521/

Yes the picture tells a story alright but the real headline is that the public were shafted by a bunch of shysters, and in doing so we lost the best views and most historic setting in the city to a trio of black coffins and a anachronis,m masquerading as a museum.
He forgot it was all the same deal that brought the whole destruction of the Pier Head into being, and was put together by the NWDA.
One funds the other, oh and lets throw in a canal that cuts the Pier Head in two, it needs it. Who were these goofs.

Hey good journalism David, made worse by the fact that Larry "the lamb" Neild whose position as city editor Bartlett took over at the Smoking Mirror Group went on to work for October Communications under the leadership of Jon Egan who im my opinion would sell his mother for a fee. Egan also led the disgraced Wirral MPs election campaign. October were retained by the NWDA and Neptune Developments and Liverpool Vision.
Someone needs to do an investigation into the way Trinity "Smoking Mirror" Group operate in the city.
The, no surprise is, this was probably fed to Bartlett by little Larry a small man of small stature who sold himself to the highest bidder when the going got tough. He was reporting our objections at the planning committee meeting but then fell in with Doreen Jones. I will never trust anyone at that paper again.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/08/mann-island-dylan-harvey-director_18.html
What was the outcome when the developers director was bailed on fraud charges.
The conclusion is that it is hushed up by the local chip-paper, was this as a friendly gesture to old mates. We can ponder just like what they did with the vrascist comment by David Fleming.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/12/david-bartlett-come-in-number-six-your.html

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/wayne-colquhoun-asks-will-alsop.html Will Alsop got it right even though his cloud scheme was just as bad.

Bartletts confusing report, that attempts to put it over as a good will story finishes:

A spokesman for the NWDA said: “The NWDA is pleased that the independent PwC report into the sale of Mann Island finds that we acted properly in what is a complex site with a long and rich history.
“The NWDA is delighted with progress on the site and is proud to have led the development of this high quality, prestigious location, enhancing the beautiful and unrivalled Liverpool waterfront and creating a lasting legacy project for the city’s residents businesses and visitors.”

It should have said.
Jon Egan, I am yours, October Communications here I come, when do I start.

9 Madryn Street, Ringos House-Why Knock It Down?

There is no point to destroy an area of cultural significance such as this.
This is the City that knocked down the Cavern Club and then called itself Beatles City.
Remember this garbage from Catherine Jones of the Oldham Echo, spin us another one Catherine.
I wrote about it a few weeks ago and I can now confirm that the City Council own the house as it has been passed from Merseytravel and the clutches of Neil Scales.
Just what he was doing with it is beyond me. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/why-does-merseytravel-own-ringos-house.html

Couldn't someone just intervene and save it and knock through a few of the houses on the same block and make a visitor centre. What a springboard to the revival of the area, that 30 years after the riots is still having a rough old time.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/louise-ellman-mp-dame-of-dereliction.html
Local Mp and all round lazy sod Louise Ellman, oh I do apoligise she may be busy, but not in her own constituency.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/poll/2011/jan/03/thebeatles-housing
The Guardian had the news that the housing Minister has written to Liverpool City Council urging them to save Ringo's house in Madryn Street.
The only people who seem to want to destroy it are the city council. Joe Anderson should intervene instead of spining us line after line of rubbish about this subject that should be cut and dried.

Let it be: 9 Madryn Street, Ringo Starr's childhood home, could be saved from demolition after the intervention of an MP.
January 2nd 2011
The terrace house where the former Beatle Ringo Starr was born could be saved from demolition after the intervention of a government minister.
The house at 9 Madryn Street, in the Dingle area of Liverpool, was due to be bulldozed as part of a multimillion-pound regeneration scheme. But Grant Shapps, the housing minister, has asked Liverpool city council to postpone the demolition of the house where the Beatles drummer was born in 1940, to allow more time for alternative plans to be considered.
"Any regeneration project will generate strong feelings," said Shapps. "But when what many people consider to be a culturally important building, such as the birthplace of the drummer in the world's most famous band, is at risk then feelings are going to be even stronger. That is why, before a single bulldozer rumbles along Madryn Street, I want to ensure every option has been considered. In particular, I want local community groups to have the opportunity to put forward viable proposals to preserve this historic house."
The minister's intervention follows a campaign by a group of Beatles fans. If the council ignores Shapps's request, his department has the power to step in to halt the project.
English Heritage has rejected a request for the property to be given listed status. Officials said it did not deserve a preservation order as it lacked "historic or architectural importance".
Some 445 pre-1919 terrace houses in Dingle's Welsh Streets neighbourhood will be replaced as part of the scheme. Starr, 70, lived at Madryn Street for the first few years of his life. A nearby home, 10 Admiral Grove, where he lived for 20 years, will remain standing.
The decision to demolish houses on Madryn Street was made in August but Liverpool's planning committee will meet this month to finalise the details. Liverpool city council says the ageing properties are "beyond economic repair", adding that local residents are desperate for better housing.
A spokesman said: "Grant Shapps may not be aware of the fact that we have consulted extensively with local residents over these plans and the overwhelming majority are in favour of them. Residents have been fully involved in developing the proposals and have shown they want decent homes to replace houses which have long passed their lifespan.
"They are telling us that they are absolutely sick of the delays and the conditions they have to live in. They want the city council to demolish these properties as soon as possible so that they can get on with their lives.
"It is vital for local people that this scheme goes ahead. We have not been helped by the massive cuts, but we are determined to get on with this work to improve the lives of local residents."
The childhood homes of John Lennon – Mendips, in Menlove Avenue – and Sir Paul McCartney – in Forthlin Road – are popular tourist attractions run by the National Trust. George Harrison's Arnold Grove childhood home remains a private house.
Last month a zebra crossing on Abbey Road in north London was given Grade II-listed status, even though it was moved in the 1970s, years after the band were photographed there for the cover of their Abbey Road album.

HMS Whimbrel-What Ever Happened To The Campaign To Save Her.

Here is a picture of Louise Ellman and John Livingstone lobbying Gordon Brown, the man who gave all our gold reserves away at two quid an ounce before the price lept to ten.
Then went on to sea lord over the biggest financial disaster of the century.
The Whimbrel was an important Black Swan Sloop,  playing a huge part in the Battle of the Atlantic.
"Is there a secret war time headquarters in Martins Bank Buildings" someone recently asked me.
"Yes its that secret its shut down and no-one knows about it" I replied. Thats what we do with our heritage.

We support the campaign to bring the Whimbrel back to Liverpool and spend a fortune on it, even though the Canning Dock is now a World Heritage Blight with the three black coffins on Mann Island and it will loook out of place.
How come those in Liverpool Vision such as Joe Anderson got £12,000,000 to put a cut through the Pier Head and let in.....Canal Barges when we have no way to put a proper boat there.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/12/barge-watch-liverpool-canal-link.html
We could have had the U-534 only some tosser cut it up watched by the local maritime press who swallowed the excuse that they had no room for it, hook line and........stinker.
 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/u-534-cut-up-into-five-pieces-by-neil.html

HMS Whimbrel (U29) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Whimbrel_(U29) here is the wikipedia link.

Here is the last we heard from Oldham Hall Street blaming the Egyptian Government, for the ineptitude of the crusty old sea dogs trying to save her, watching as scrap, no I said scrap metal values quadrupled. Then complaining when the Egyptians up the price, and they asked them to remove the asbestos.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2010/02/22/hms-whimbrel-campaign-countess-mounbatten-plea-to-egyptian-president-to-save-warship-100252-25884781/  The last I heard.
COUNTESS Mountbatten of Burma has now written to President Mubarak of Egypt, asking if he can intervene in the deadlock over returning the last of Capt Johnnie Walker’s warships, HMS Whimbrel, to Liverpool, to become the only official British Battle of the Atlantic memorial.

The problem is caused by the Egyptian Defence Ministry having quadrupled the agreed price of HMS Whimbrel from £250,000 to £1m.

The negotiators for this rusting hulk full of asbestos used the Nigel Mansell approach to buying car insurance.
Err.... how much do you want, OK we will pay it, until they realised that the Arab nations negotiate as a way of life and don't just accept the first insurance quote like most of the British.
The Duke of Westminister had made a substantial donation, but his £250,000 was returned as it cant be left forever in a dormant bank account.
Peter Elson who put a lot of his own time into this Daily Post Campaign, and is alright, wrote a Oldham Echo-ing piece in 2009, helping to evoke the spirit of the age.
AS THE merchant ship’s very soul groaned in its death throes, wallowing amid the pounding Atlantic swell on October 19, 1940, courageous men still combed her lower decks looking for life.
As they shone their torches around the bowels of the SS Assyrian, which was torpedoed while sailing from Halifax to Liverpool as part of Convoy SC7, they heard a cry.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/liverpool-columnists/peter-elson/2009/03/30/peter-elson-could-hms-whimbrel-really-be-set-to-come-home-92534-23261140/
I had to ban John Livingstone from my shop, as I kept getting earache, he was just too heavy, but he means well, and wants a memorial to all those heroic sailors who saved the fate of Europe from the Nazis in the Battle of the Atlantic. Not just a closed room in Martins Bank basement.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/columnist/2010/03/11/hms-whimbrel-manxman-royal-iris-and-landfall-are-all-in-various-stages-of-rusting-or-sinking-100252-26006915/ Even big mouth Joe Riley joins in. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/columnist/2010/03/11/hms-whimbrel-manxman-royal-iris-and-landfall-are-all-in-various-stages-of-rusting-or-sinking-100252-26006915/
There is a bad monument to Johnnie Walker at the Pier Head by Tom Murphy. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/tom-murphy-dumping-bad-sculpture-on.html

So will we ever, in these economic times, caused by the very person who was asked to help the campaign, Gordon Brown, see another ship in the Liverpool Docks that we can call our own.
Or is it just wading into deep water a sinking idea.

What happened to the Manxman. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/04/ss-manxman-its-over-its-scrap-and-its.html

But don't worry folks everything is alright we have saved the Cruise Liner Jetty and the embarrasment of planning a disaster.
It says so in the Daily Post and Echo today. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/12/10/chancellor-george-osborne-gives-new-hope-to-liverpool-cruise-terminal-plan-92534-27801487/  The headline reads.
Chancellor George Osborne gives new hope to Liverpool Cruise terminal plan
Quizzed by the Daily Post, the Chancellor hinted strongly that the decision – imposed by the previous Labour administration – would be overturned when the current government completes its review.
He described the block on cruises starting and finishing at the Pier Head as “rather odd”, giving a significant boost to the Daily Post’s campaign to lift the ban.
Talk about making a crisis out of a drama this is a front page.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/cruising-from-liverpools-langton-dock.html
Talk about Wading into deep water.
David Wade-Smith claims he saved the Cruise Liner jetty from the scrapheap at a Liverpool Vision board meeting. Thanks for that.
This is, in my opinion as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, the moron, who promoted Mann Island development as beneficial to Liverpool, making it now look out of place to have boats there. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/david-wade-smith-not-right-choice-as.html

Joe Anderson is the longest serving board member of Liverpool Blind Vision. Mates with Wade-Smith for a long time eh Joe.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/12/09/liverpool-vision-to-be-taken-under-city-council-control-92534-27794467/
The same old people responsible for the cruise liner cock up are now getting on board.

Louise Ellman, the Riverside MP, who chairs the Commons transport committee, and part of the government who would not let cruises start at the Pier Head, in the article said:
“I thought it was a very encouraging answer, on what is a vitally important issue.”
So we now have Louise Ellman trying to save the Cruise Liner Jetty, she cant even save her own son who was recently arrested. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/10/14/son-of-liverpool-mp-louise-ellman-held-by-police-in-meow-meow-drug-raids-92534-27467654/
She is now asking a Tory cuts reaper to help the get on board the Get On Board Campaign, and now its all fine because George Osborne describes the situation as "odd" and its all going to be saved.

Its all very odd to me, how the same old people are making the same old mistakes they always have, and are still getting away with it.

Joe Anderson-Sitting Far Too Close To Frank McKenna.

Last weeks "Cool Business Award" Ceremony, (excuse me for laughing but I couldn't think of a single grey suited flannelet who was there who may have been remotely cool), was attended by Joe Anderson who is proud to proclaim Mr McKenna as a fellow Labour party member and supporter. Mr McKenna has a chequered history of Labour Party membership.
Frankly, I don't like the relationship between our elected council leader and a Spiv. In my opinion, everyone knows him as a spiv that is what he gets paid for, to ease his fellow businessmen into little tight holes that may be hard to get to otherwise.
The Council leader should be above this sort of relationship with local business men, especially those with a dubious history. They should not be holding hands under the table.
It could be that, in my opinion, ill thought out relationships makes him ignore bodies such as English Heritage, and he may try to jib the planning procedure in a rush to help property developers, as it appears is happening with Peel Holdings.
Mr Anderson should be aware that a public inquiry should be called for over Liverpool Waters.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/dlib-in-skip.html We will make you an offer you can't refuse his advertising says showing himself as the Godfather,
Billy Quiff more like it, anyone can pay a few girls to link you to kid people you are liked, Frank.

 McKenna himself says

Frank McKenna was a young Skelmersdale politician with the world at his feet. Chairman of the North West Regional Assembly, leader-elect of Lancashire County Council, he was destined for a safe Labour seat in the House of Commons where a ministerial career surely beckoned. Then rumours of election fraud surfaced in satirical magazine, Private Eye, forcing him to resign from public office. After a £3 million police investigation, the judge threw out the case but his political career was over. Now he is back in Lancashire as the head of Downtown Preston in Business – a high profile lobbying group which is sure to create waves. Editor Andrew Calvert went to meet a man who is remarkably sanguine about his experiences. When you are awaiting trial on fraud charges, your chances of finding a job are somewhat limited. “There’s not a lot you can do other than work for yourself,” recalled McKenna, reflecting on the events back in 2001.The sharp-suited, fast-talking Scouser had never been short of contacts in both the public and private sectors. A public affairs consultancy business was the obvious choice of a new career and McKenna was soon winning work throughout the North West.

He had built a reputation in Liverpool for his work with property developers on planning issues and came up with the idea for Downtown Liverpool in Business. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/frank-mckenna-suckles-at-breast-of-joe.html

Here is how he promotes himself, Is it James Bond, Basildon Bond, Brooke Bond, or Jenny.
 MORE LIKE IT.

Just who does this fella think he is? The editor of the local paper. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/03/frank-mckenna-unofficial-editor-of.html

Joe Anderson said "Frank started Downtown Liverpool in Business then he took it to Preston.......now all we need is for him to do Downtown Manchester and then we will see the back of him".
Ho, Ho Joe, very funny but don't you remember the Derek Hatton days.
When it was thought uncool, or just plain not right to give favours to local spivs. Far too much council land and favours have been given away to local businessmen. Wilberforce House to Beetham for £120,000 by the Fib-Dems.
Derek Hatton was in court for it was reported, the city council, allegedly slicing a piece of land, that is now one of the main routes into Grosvenor-pool not far from the Beehive public house.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/11/23/david-cameron-vows-merseyside-won-t-return-to-1980s-misery-92534-27696885/

Today's Daily Ghost has a interview with David Cameron, though it doesn't say who interviewed him, strange.
Incidentally it was David Bartletts predecessor Larry Neild a card carrying member of the Labour party who was reporting most of Liverpool's Militant era, wrongly. It was not the local press who found out about the then unofficial council leaders business interests but the Sunday Times, right under the noses of the lazy bastards at the Echo, or where they lazy, was the deceit of the public rife and they accepted they didn't have to report but, make it up, to suit themselves,
And Lodge Lane still lies in ruins 30 years after the Toxteth Riots.
Joe and Frank are both very close with the Dame of Dereliction Louise Ellman, who now Lords over Toxteth.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/louise-ellman-mp-dame-of-dereliction.html
In fact, was it not Frank McKenna who was very close with her during those dimly lit Skelmersdale days, that we still don't know exactly what happened and wont as all the local reporters are about 12 years of age and don't have a clue how to do research, or may not be permitted to.
So is Joe Anderson a chubby version of Mike Storey and Warren Bradly, seen here with Mike Hanlon of Maghull Developments, who knocked the facade off Josephine Butler House, in between cocktails. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/well-its-hahnerman-house-again.html

Stinky Ink Bartlett, "The Prisoner" writes, well sort of, today on his blog http://blogs.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/dalestreetblues/2010/11/lessons-for-the-republicans-an.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+LiverpoolDailyPost-DaleStreetBlues+%28Liverpool+Daily+Post+-+Dale+Street+Blues%29

The local press, The Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group, need to get their house in order and instead of allowing all the same mistakes to be made again, get their own house in order before they pass judgement on the local political scene.

Liverpool World Heritage Steering Group-What Is Its Motives?

Page 2 of minutes of a meeting of The World Heritage Steering Group. These documents are not ever supposed to see the light of day so it is with a free abandon that they they write "It was agreed that JL (John Hinchliffe, the world heritage waste of space who should be protecting the WH not selling it) and NL (Nigel Lee) should discuss with Mike Birchnall, the most appropriate way to secure a member buy in and a political champion. It was agreed that Louise Ellman should be kept informed and be part of a political steering group".

You know you  have to despair the way they are whoring the WHS to what seems the highest bidder. What exactly does a "member buy in" mean. They also talk of discussing the WHS at a political level as at officer level it could restrict frank discussions.

Yes we all know what that means don't we.
With this level of errr...discussions about our, WHS going on while the public are not even told where the WHS is, well I suppose they can do what they want.
This combined with the disastrous set of shoddy principles practiced by the local press, who turn a blind eye to anything that suits them, it seems they are lining up another developers wish list.

Heaps Rice Mill-Needs Grade II Listing, Its Going Downhill Fast.

Regeneration, we keep hearing that word bandied about in Liverpool by people who are far from educated in the art of restoring Liverpools Historic past. Or don,t care. While Warren was creating his war zones in Toxteth and elswhere, in the poorer regions of the city such as the Boot Estate in Norris Green http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2009/08/07/boot-estate-wasteland-that-shames-liverpool-100252-24338104/ along with John Kelly, parts of Liverpool are still in abject decay.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/john-kelly-liverpools-regeneration.html Heaps Rice Mill is 100 yars from the start of Grosvenor-pool, now thats what we call a tale of two cities. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/02/grosvenor-pool-putting-co-into.html This was part of the Trevor Jones/Windsor Development triangle that saw the demolishing of the Greenbergs building, a handsome Victorian structure operating as a going concern, on the next block. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/08/knock-me-down-with-feather-its-clever.html
Now that clever Trevor has retired to Chester after cashing all his chips in, (it was reported in the New Satesman in the 1980s he has up to 20 interests in properties in this area) and he may have stopped spivving for Windsor developments who had up to six companies of the same name numbered 1-6 and were registered in the same accountants address as Lamb and Sons, in Surrey. Windsor who attempted to share the profits of the old Maritime Buildings owned by Trevor and Doreen Jones of Lamb and Sons http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0100regionalnews/tm_method=full%26objectid=15669888%26siteid=50061-name_page.html that was knocked down while a listing application was at the council to list it. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/09/trevor-jone-steps-down-good-riddance.html

What will happen to this building if it does not become a Grade II listed structure? Which backs on to the old Lamb and Sons site.
Part of the Baltic Triangle  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/10/liverpools-baltic-triangle-to-become.html Will it fall down or as is usual be declared too far neglected that it needs demolition to help it out.
Meanwhile the Scandinavian Church http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-life-features/liverpool-special-features/2008/02/26/threatened-church-is-great-advert-for-city-64375-20523091/ which is next door is at risk too....still.
All this in the Dame of Dereliction her shyness Loiuse Ellman's constituancy.

Frank McKenna Suckles At The Breast of Joe Anderson.

What a cosy relationship this has started out, to be, as Joe Anderson speaking at a Downtown Liverpool in Business Event apears to give the green light to anyone who wants to build any old glass shoebox. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/dlib-in-skip.html  Stating how easy it would be for its members to obtain access to a planning manager, within a week in fact.
Is Joe Anderson just a chubby version of Warren Bradley. And are the same mistakes about to be made. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/david-wade-smith-not-right-choice-as.html  In fact Joe Anderson has stood by idly and watched while the world heritage site was destroyed even taking an active part in it as a committee member on Liverpool Vision and numerous other quangos.
I am reliably informed that Nigel Lee is all over him like a rash, phoning him up and getting him on his side.
It looks like this is working. Despite mistakes for rushing development Uncle Joe says at the new Hilton Hotel on Chavasse Lawn. “This council is dogged by processes.”

He said businesses should expect to see a planning officer within one week of a pre-planning application, rather than six or seven weeks, and cited an example of an unnamed company bringing 120 jobs to the city as a result of streamlining. He said a sort of “star chamber” would be set up to oversee council expenditure, which was already £9m over budget in the first three months of the financial year.

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/06/22/liverpool-city-council-leader-joe-anderson-reassures-business-leaders-92534-26697224/

Yes Uncle Joe the public should expect proper scrutiny not a corrupted system stacked in favour of any old shady developer.
Joe Anderson it has been said make Warren Bradley look like a scholar and I have to say here he shows how easy it is to manipulate him.
I am aware of massive donations by local businessmen to the labour party before the election. Frank is of course a old hand at manipulation and was to be seen in the background in Skelmersdale when Gordon Brown visited. Because Downtown, are editing the Trinity “Smoking” Mirror group http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/03/frank-mckenna-unofficial-editor-of.html  all this will not be told. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/11/is-frank-mckenna-really-editing.html I wrote to Uncle Joe requesting he considers the need for a heritage bureau that Warren Bradley insisted was not necessary. He said he would consider it.
But now it seems that it is more than obvious where his loyalties lie.
To those who are able to make him understand the need to ravish what we have left of the historic fabric without compromise while in his friend and Ally, Louise Ellman, the Dame of Derelictions constituency http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/10/liverpools-baltic-triangle-more-than.html  is still in parts like a war zone 30 years after the riots.
Joe Anderson after all was the councillor here in the centre and kept his gob shut when world heritage disaster unfolded itself. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/liverpools-world-heritage-site-memory.html

Meanwhile
NINE Liverpool day centres are to close as part of the biggest shake-up in social services the city has seen in the past 60 years. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/06/22/nine-liverpool-day-centres-to-close-in-social-care-revolution-92534-26697620/

Well done Uncle Joe.
New Labour.
