Before Christmas I cut out some paper houses and put tea lights inside

My granddaughter liked playing with it.

My daughter-in-law is expecting a baby so I made a hippo. I'm afraid my crocheting is not very neat although I think the yarn was a bit thinner than the one recommended so that may not have helped.

I've also made a floor quilt/play mat out of some Spoonflower swatches

Doodlewash - January 2021

I got some new inks and thought I'd try them on a these two doodlewash pictures. The writing and border are inks on the happy new year but the background orange is watercolour. The entire picture below was painted with the inks, I don't think it was very successful so I'll stick to watercolours for this kind of work and use the inks on mixed media works perhaps.
