Cat Dresses

I made coordinating dresses for my two Granddaughters, they are cousins not sisters.

I found the free pattern via Pinterest, see here

And the pattern for this one is here

Close up of the cat fabrics. I got the fabrics at a local quilting shop in Birtley which were on sale too.

Galaxy Dress

It was my Granddaughter's third birthday so I made her a dress with matching bag and also a cake. She chose the theme of space and I found this lovely rainbow galaxy fabric. I attached some metallic ric-rac trim at the waist.

I also made a bag with the spare fabric.

The bag is reversible and has a silver metallic fabric inside.

Silly me didn't measure her as I wanted it to be a surprise and it was a last minute job. I assumed a pattern for age 3-4 would fit her but I'm afraid it is on the tight side and also has a big neck. It is also too long but that doesn't matter. Still she wore it for her birthday party but I doubt it will be worn again.

Sewing
I made another dress for one of my granddaughters. I've got two now, number two was born last week.
This dress has fairies on it and sparkly bits. My granddaughter loved it, when she tried it on she didn't want to take it off. I love the colours of the fabric.
Enjoy your week.
