Cactus and Mess

When I go on holiday I usually move the plants out of the conservatory because it can get very hot.  I forgot this time and had a few casualties including this cactus. I thought cactus like it hot?

Spoonflower have launched a challenge - to draw everyday for a month. They will send you a prompt each day. Because of time differences this is yesterday's prompt which I did last night and to be honest it's not one of my favourites.

When i first saw one of these plants I couldn't see the bottom of it & I thought it was an exotic tree. It is, I was told, a cactus plant - an aloe vera. Seen in France [Port Leucate]
