I've recently finished a couple of layouts using Cocoa Vanilla supplies. The first is using the April 16 Lottie Loves Paper kit - a mix of CVS and Simple Stories ephemera and embellishments. I pulled a couple of papers from my stash along with some tissue paper and ink.
I'm nearing the end of the kit (still got oodles of alphas!) so I'm making an effort to use as much as I can. I've probably already used my favourite pieces, but how a I going to use the numbers and pie chart?
Well, the pie chart got snipped in two and used as layering bits...
And one of the numbers was incorporated in to the title.
The second layout uses the colour me happy collection. Well, I say collection, I only have the papers...
So I only used patterned paper for this layout! OK, there is a little thread and vellum, and a few alphas from Basic Grey... but the title and embellishment line are fussy cut from the papers.
I needed a bit more orange - and who would have thought anyone using a 12x12 sheet of orange paper would ever say that?! - and found a mini paper clip to add a pop.
I rather like the stars fussy cut and used as embellishments. They look so cute nestled on a thread nest!
And yes, I documented an argument over a teddy. A thirty year old telling a two year old that it is not his, it's mine! (He was calling it a 'he' and she is clearly a 'she' and she is most certainly called Quinny and not Teddy!!) But he loves to cuddle her at nap time and we have come to a peaceful agreement...
Thanks for stopping by!
Luscious layering and stunning stitching. Girl you're on a roll.
