Beautiful Moment

Hi Folks, I'm here today using a mix of my like for ever kit, SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and flair from Accent Scrapbooking . The majority of the supplies came from my like for ever kit featuring Dear Lizzy.  The patterned paper was screaming out to be fussy cut! I love these flair.  You can find this pack here . I added a little colour to the washi tape with some Inktense pencils and a water brush. And also added a little colour to the fussy cut paper flower. And here is the layout in full... I used Lilac Twinkle sequin mix and the flowers from Sweet Pea . Thanks for stopping by!

Geometric

It's challenge day at Crafty Ribbons!  The theme is GEOMETRIC as picked by the lovely Christelle.  Well, I looked up the definition: ËŒdʒɪəˈmÉ›trɪ c adjective adjective: geometric - characterized by or decorated with regular lines and shapes. I picked pentagons as my shape and went to town with some purple brusho!!   I used two shades of 3mm organza ribbon and Morlaix lace from Crafty Ribbons , along with some enamel dots from my stash. I hope you can join us over at Crafty Ribbons Challenges !

Seam Binding Love!

I do love to work with seam binding.  There are so many ways to use it.  For this layout I simply used my sewing machine to join a few off cuts together... Which gives a rather fun string of bunting.  Add in a few pieces of reclaimed packaging, a tiny paperclip, some tulle, enamel stars and a cameo cut and you have yourself a sweet layout! I had a tonne of notes for this photo so rather than put it all on the front and loose the white space I washi taped a note on the back of the page.  A little piece of memory tucked away for someone to find one day - or not, as the case may be, and I'm totally OK with that! You can find seam binding in Crafty Ribbons store - only 124 colours to choose from!! Thanks for stopping by!

A Quick Card

I made a quick card using the left over purple paper from my June counterfeit kit ... I added a couple of Elle's Studio hearts and some ribbon from Crafty Ribbons .  The grey ribbon was white.  I altered it with half a drop of India ink mixed in to some water.  Have a small test on an off cut first but most ribbons take colour really well. Hop!

This post is for Crafty Ribbons .  For the Counterfeit Kit Bloghop go to the previous post here . A while back I made a layout with tags.  It didn't turn out how it looked in my head (if you know what I mean?) so I had another go and this is the result... A tag with buttons ( here , here and here ) sewn on with 3mm ribbon, and topped with 3mm too. Plain white title - hop. A white tag with washi and a D for Daisy, topped with 3mm . An orange tag with gorgeous pansy ribbon , again topped with 3mm . There is a lot of white space but I like it.  At first I worried it was too much white space, but I've made peace with it!  I'm doing my thing. And there she is, Daisy Doo hopping across my layout.  This one definitely looks more like the original idea in my head. Thanks for stopping by.

'happy'

I enjoyed making my little ' wish ' canvas so much I think I'm going to turn it in to a series.  Its always good to have an odd number for a series and there are seven colours in the rainbow so I'm going to plump for seven mini canvases.  Here is number two... This one is 40mm by 60mm - really rather diddy!!  I have used violet India ink, pearlescent medium, a stencil and a rubber stamp for the background.  I had a few offcuts of the same violet ink on some paper strips, so I cut and layered them, stapling them to each other.  I glued my paper stack on to the canvas and splattered the remaining India ink on top. I finished off by adding a 'happy' rub on.  I think all of my canvases will have a positive rub on added. I'm quite looking forward to my row of rainbow coloured mini canvases :) Sharing at the playground . Thanks for stopping by!

card deck swap

I am very fortunate to have found the wonderful Jessica Brogan's card deck swap.  I joined in the latest mini swap with the theme of 'Permission to...'  You can read all about it here . Altering the cards was the easy part for me.  So easy that I got carried away in the creating and forgot to take any photos.  There was paint and there was washi and there was fun :) Then came the journalling and I was struggling (yeah, I know, no surprise there!)  I wanted my 'permissions' to be meaningful to me and not just empty words, and it took a lot of thinking.  Of course here I had lots of time to spare and part way through took a photo... I seem to have deleted my photos of the finished cards... either that or I have "put them somewhere safe"!  Boo!  However they have been sent off to USA, shuffled and sent off around the world.  I can share with you the cards that I received in return... An eclectic mix from all over the world....
