Stick It Down | March Sketch and Layout

Hey guys!  I am here with my Stick It Down layout today. I kept pretty much to the sketch this month except for the sizing - and honestly that was a mistake!  Here's the sketch... I have used supplies from my Cocoa Vanilla stash along with cardstock and vellum from Papermill Direct.  The cut file is a new one from me and is available over at Pretty My Page as both a download and a pre-cut. ( Download here .  Pre-cut here .) I added some sewing.  I love the look of French knots but I always need a refresher on how to form them! Now, that mistake I mentioned... I intended the layout to be 12x12 but as I was nearing the end I realised that rather than intended white space it just looked like I had left a great big gap to the right of my page.  It was easily solved by chopping down to a 9x12 layout.  As I say in my video I mix in all sorts of sizes in my albums so I'm fine with it not being 12x12.  If I don't have a page protector I will chop a 12x12 pro

Throwback | Triangles and Rainbows

Sharing a previously unpublished post from May 2018... I while back I did a 30 day watercolour challenge.  One of the prompts was triangles and I painted this stamp from Simon Says Stamp.  I use my Daniel Smith watercolours and pick lots of vibrant rainbow colours.  When I had finished I knew I wanted to use it on a layout somehow. I trimmed it down in to triangles in a variety of sizes.  I added in a few vellum triangles too.  I echoed the triangles with my photos and journalling spot too. A few clear and white sequins form SpiegelMom Scraps finish things off nicely.
