NSD Be Cray!

I have been using all my energy on NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) for the last couple of weeks.  Sourcing prizes and sponsors, making graphics and samples, drafting posts and brainstorming.  I'm knackered! Any way, what I mean to say is I have quite a lot of creations I haven't yet shared so get ready for a slew of posts! Today I am on the Glittery Hands Box blog with this layout... Please pop over and hae a look.  While you are there check out the previous post which is also one of my creations... I've loved the first kit of my DT term.  Right now I'm counting down the days to the next box!

Gnomes!!

I have a 'welcome' sign to share today... For me (a massive ribbon fan) it is always exciting when we get word from Ali at Crafty Ribbons that new ribbons are coming soon.  When I opened my parcel I giggled - garden gnomes!  Who'd have thunk it? But boy are they fun!  You can find them here .  My favourite is the bee ribbon - I think it'll be featuring heavily in my future work! Linking up at Inspire Me Mondays , Avenue 613 (gardens and bee) and Try It On Tuesday (bee)

12 Days of Christmas - Day 24

For the final day of Crafty Ribbons Twelve Days of Christmas celebrations I have a door hanger to share with you... I've used my glitter thickers to send the message Do Not Disturb.  I reckon you could use this to exclude peepers trying to get a glimpse of what gifts you are wrapping up, or Boxing Day morning to see if you can have a lie in... obviously you wouldn't use it on Christmas Eve else Santa might not deliver to you!! I used the lovely holly basket ribbon for a big bow to finish off my hanger. It makes a beautiful bow. Join us at Crafty Ribbons Inspirations for your chance to win some giveaways from the last twelve days... Merry Christmas! x

Vrooom!!!

Today I'm sharing a door sign I made for Ali 's handsome nephew Sam.  It's for Crafty Ribbons Challenge - One For The Boys . It's a piece of chipboard covered with gesso, star sequins and acrylic paint. I've stuck two lengths of ribbon along the bottom with red backed double sided sticky tape. The chipboard letters have had a coat of gesso, then a couple of coats of acrylic paint and to finish them off I've outlined them with a black felt tip.  I have attached them with glue gel to give extra dimension. I popped a couple of brads in and threaded another length of ribbon for the hanging tie. You can find the ribbons here ...  I wish I had a small man in  my life.  I picture these ribbons used as shoelaces on a pair of black trainers.  It would be so cool!! I hope to see you joining in over at the challenge... Thanks for stopping by
