Now back from the Dead!

Well lately I've noticed we are not even in the top ten (posting wise).  So I'm here to remedy that situation and make us number one again if only for a fleeting moment. See if you can guess what song I'm referring too by my following posts. Oh yeah thanks to the original poster. See scans.

The Rolling Stones - Mayflower Let It Bleed Sessions

 *THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Well seeing as how our fans are leaving in droves, after that Pussy Galore post I figure I'd better try something to bring them back. So here's the real Rolling Stones with, as far as I can tell something we've never posted before. I'm sure most of this stuff is on other Stones boots. Some of this like "Midnight Rambler" and "Love In Vain" are not full length. But maybe some of this you've never heard before. See scans

The New Barbarians Culver City Rehearsals - *BACK FROM THE DEAD ORIGINAL POST DATE 10-17-19

*BACK FROM THE DEAD
*NOW WITH NEW LINK
The setting, England, the late 1800's. We open the scene, in an old apparent abandoned cabin. What little light is available is provided by the full moon. Lying next to a fire place with no fire going is a mangy looking dog, cold and hungry, lost alone in his thoughts. "Damn, he thinks, he's out there ravaging, plundering, and scaring the shit out of the locals. Meanwhile this bastard has left me with an old hand bone that I've been chewing on for two fucking weeks. Heaven forbid he would light a fire to keep this shit hole warm, but we all know he's afraid of fire, lame ass. Why can't he cook us up a big pot of gruel? Oh yeah, the fire thing. Goddamn, if there was another cabin around I'd bolt in a second, but I'm afraid of his so called friend Larry Talbot eating me. Speaking of that shithead Talbot, last time he was here that fuck tried to hump my leg. I'm famished. Guess I'll have to go out by the old graveyard and dig up one of those old gamy legs I buried a couple of months ago. But you know, fuck it, first I'm gonna shit on this old rag he calls a rug. He'll probably spank me but that prick has it coming, why he would take me in is beyond me. We never play fetch anymore and I have to fight him over any piece of thigh he brings. Well the sun is starting to come up so he'll be home soon. Hope he terrified the locals or I'm gonna be in for a world of shit. So goes the mind of Frankenstein's dog. See scans.

CHANCES ARE THAT YOU MIGHT FIND THAT WE SHARE A COMMON DISCOMFORT NOW

The Rolling Stones - Alameda County Coliseum
November 9, 1969
Oakland, CA
Audience FLAC + SDB
aka-LIVER THAN YOU'LL EVER BE
[DOG N CAT RECORDS DAC-116]
Oakland, CA. November 9, 1969 (2nd show)

GOOD/VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT SOUND.

This one is the Collection DAC release.

Liver Than You’ll Ever Be, the new four disc title on Dog N Cat, is a collection with a newly surfaced audience tape of the November 9th late show. To celebrate this occasion it is packaged with material from the opening acts, the Bill Graham soundboard recording, and the famous TMOQ tape in one convenient package. Seasoned Rolling Stones collectors may scoff at this release as a cynical attempt to get more money by packaging the new tape with the older. But for collectors who do not have copies of all the tapes DAC-116 is a very good sounding and packaged document.

The Rolling Stones - Lonely At The Top

*FROM THE GREAT (DECEASED) BLOG STONED
The battle rages on who's better The Stones or The Beatles. But I think we are missing the point whenever we talk about these two bands we fail to mention where they got their inspiration, well this book I'm reading now "Who Beats The Stones" by the guy that wrote all of those great Dennis The Menace newspaper cartoons now sets the record straight. It was (wait for it).....Slim Whitman. Bill Wyman copped his look, Paul McCartney took his falsetto, George owned his hollow body Gretsch. Keith rented his condo in Australia to record Exile. There are many more examples too numerous to list. So I suggest you try to find a copy if you can, since this book is long out of print. I saw one on e-bay recently going for 27 cents. See Scans

BUT I SURE LOVED THE WAY THAT SHE LAUGHED AND TOOK MY MONEY

The Rolling Stones The Alternate Tattoo You

*THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER

Ok..Ok looks like I need to clear up some confusion.  Yes I do have a 12 disc set of "Exile On Main Street" however what it's called is "Exile On Main Street 1972-2010 The Mick Taylor Years"  what it consist of is Disc 1 is the Atlantic/Toshiba pressing, Disc 2 is various outtakes, Disc 3 is a live show called "The Great Lost Live Album from the 72-73 tour, Disc 4 is from the L.A Forum June 11th 72 (second show), Disc 5 is from Fort Worth Texas June 24th 72 (second show) Disc 6 is from Norfolk Virginia July 5th 1972.  The other 6 disc's are various Mick Taylor shows with Disc 10 featuring John Mayall. If you go over to the comments at the original "Exile" posting I have left a download of the artwork which probably explains it better than this long and rambling post. I have no problem posting the whole thing if you're interested but I just wanted to let you know it's not every burp, fart, sneeze, snort, toke, choke from the "Exile sessions"  See Scans

I DON'T NEED THE AGGRAVATION I'M A LAZY SOD

The Rolling Stones - Live Madison Square Garden, NY. 1975

The Rolling Stones - Live Madison Square Garden
New York, NY.
June 22, 1975
aka - Sympathy For Slowhand
(apart from track 15 on disc 1, and track 13 on disc 2)

**Original Notes**
Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York
June 22nd 1975
(apart from track 15 on disc 1, and track 13 on disc 2)

Quality:
Very Good Audience
(?)
Dogs And Cats 075
Original DAC CD -> WAV (EAC - secure) -> FLAC (flacfrontend) -> You

Comments:
Great recording and great performance. Not one of the *very best* of this tremendous tour, at all; but it's still a must-have
It's the first night of the MSG run, and I think the whole band was kinda nervous. Jagger seems to loose his confidence, when there's a few bum-notes from the guitarists early on in the show.

This DAC release is the best sounding silver CD of this show, IMO
It's taken from Joe Maloney's torrent, which was shared on DIME last year - so it's the typical DIME-theft of DAC. Thanks to Maloney and his uploader-friend for sharing this great recording
(all previous 06/22/75 bootlegs were taken from a different audience recording....it was quite nice, but not as good as Joe Maloney's recording)

DAC did some EQ work....but in my opinion, it was quite successful.

I know this show has been on trackers before (rollover's torrent), but I'm uploading my silver-rip, since I know that somebody is still missing this DAC bootleg, and also; rollover's rip is not available on DIME anylonger.

Artwork included - taken from the web, originally scanned by rollover (thanks!)

This is my opinion only but to me the sound quality is mediocre at best. Then again you can
