Goodie Bags for 3 Spring Occasions by Samantha

Hello! Samantha with you today with a project using the new patterned bags. I have a bit of Spring fever, so I thought I'd style goodie bags for 3 Spring occasions.

I used the same layout for embellishing all of my bags, but as you can see, they all have a very different feel.

My first bag was decorated for Opening Day! Whether you'll be headed out to the ball park or watching from home this decorated bag is a great way to turn peanuts or popcorn into a special treat. I used a blue zigzag patterned bag, layered on a circle cut from a black striped patterned bag. I embellished with baseball stickers from Take 2 Stickers By The Dozen Baseball and a 2017 sticker from Year of Memories 2017. I sealed the bag shut with a sticker from Calendar Companion

My next bag is a Spring themed thank you bag. It's great for a small teacher or hostess gift. You can slip in a gift card, a handmade bar of soap and some lotion, or some pretty nail polish. For this bag I started with a striped bag. Then I added a 4" White Doily. I embellished the doily and the bag with stickers from We've Got Your Stickers Thanks

For my last bag I created a Spring birthday bag. You could slip a little birthday treat in here or a gift card to go out to eat, some tea bags, or even some packs of seeds. I started with a bright green striped patterned bag, then I layered on a circle cut from the pink polka dot patterned bag. I embellished with stickers from Take 2 Stickers By The Dozen Birthday and Sentiment Happy Birthday. I sealed the bag shut with a sticker from We've Got Your Sticker Happy

...and there you have it: goodie bags for 3 Spring occasions. I love how these patterned bags can make a little gift extra special! What would you stick in these patterned bags?

Spring Vinyl Home Decor by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today with a vinyl project.
Creating a home we love is universal, almost every person has a place that evokes the feeling of home and warmth. Decorating is as deeply rooted as any nesting behaviour through the centuries and fills our hearts and homes with uniqueness and happiness.

I have not escaped the gravitational pull of seasonal decorating, as I'm sure many of you enjoy alongside me! Adhesive vinyl is a decorators best friend for the changing seasons,  easily added or removed to allow for a new look using the same piece is my favorite aspect of vinyl.

I adore this galvanized flower bucket, it works in amy room, for every holiday or season. For spring I have added a heart shaped butterfly design with pastel patterned vinyl cut with my Silhouette Cameo, remember you do not need a cutting machine to use vinyl, you can use punches, dies, or hand trim simple shapes or graphic designs.

Applying vinyl to a surface that is not flat takes a little adjustment, start in the center and slowly work out pressing into the hills and valleys with your fingers as you go.

Use a burnishing tool to smooth out any wrinkles, bubble or loose edges, and peel away transfer tape.

If you have a section that does not adhere, simply place the transfer tape back down and press firmly along the cut, take your time and burnish all cuts, this will only take a few extra moments and it will make your vinyl project a big success!

Fill with flowers, branches, or cotton and enjoy all spring!

Faith Cards & Process Video by Christine

Hi there crafty friends!  It's a busy time of year for my family so I wanted to create some cards that I could grab and send for encouragement.  Christine joining you today and I'm using some Bible Journaling stamps and the Gold Calligraphy Paint Pen, I came up with some quick and easy ones.  I also created a video for you to show you how I made them!  Here's the cards!

Here's a quick walk thru how I made these cards:

As you can see each card has the same basic design but I changed up the words and borders.

All three cards use the Big Faith Stamp Set and the hearts are from Child of God clear stamp.  The border on this one comes from The Lord is Kind Stamp Set.

The border on this one also comes from The Lord is Kind Stamp Set.

The border for this one comes from the New Testament Clear Stamp.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Bag by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today I'm sharing a fun Easter bag with you!

I started with using SRM Stickers new patterned bag. In this case, I chose to use the 'dots' bag. You can fill these bags with anything you like! From baked goods to candies to little toys, the possibilities are endless! :)

Once I filled my bag, I folded the top down and set aside. I then made my tag, which was so easy...I used a SRM Stickers Easter tag sticker and place it on white cardstock and then trimmed around it. Simple, right?!... Going back to my bag, I folded a white doily over the top piece and then finished things off with some twine and my sticker tag. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Celebrate Shaker Card by Amber

Hello SRM fans! It's Amber here, today I have a shaker card to share. Recently I have been loving and drooling over all the fabulous shaker cards I have been seeing on social media lately. For some reason that is beyond me I have never created one before today. I had lots of fun creating this fun A2 sized shaker card. Below you will find a few step by step instructions you can follow along with to create your own shaker cards.

Step 1. Cover a white A2 sized card base with some patterned paper.

Step 2. Choose a coordinating piece of patterned paper and cut it slightly smaller then your card base.

Step 3. Die cut or punch a circle or any other shape out of the upper center part of your smaller patterned paper panel.

Step 4. Flip your patterened paper panel over and add some double sided adhesive all around your die cut shape.

Step 5. Before attaching the acrylic take your die cut panel and center it over your card base. With a pencil lightly trace around your die cut window. This will make it easy to center your sentiment.

Step 6. Adhere a piece of clear acrylic to your die cut pattered paper panel. Set aside.

Step 7.  Use the pencil lines you drew in step 5 as your guide and add your sentiment to your card base. I used a clear Celebrate sentiment sticker from the Sentiment/Birthday sticker sheet.

Step 8. Using the pencil lines as a guide again adhere some foam tape all around the outside edge of your pencil lines.

Step 9. Add a handful of sequins to your card base in between your foam tape.

Step 10. Adhere your die cut patterned paper panel with the acrylic to your card base sealing/locking in all your sequins.

Step 11. Add a cute little fussy cute image to the front of your card. I used Easter Basket Anya from The Greeting Farm to complete my card.

That's it, you now have a fun little shaker card. I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for visiting!

Let the Sea Resound Card by Michele

Good morning crafty friends!
Michele here with a card using the  Heaven & Earth stamp set.  I love repeating a small stamp to make an interesting background.  I stamped this little fish on a tag and hand drew some bubbles in between.  I colored the fish with Copic markers.

I added shadows under each fish for more depth and applied glossy accents.
I added a few layers of card stock and adhered my tag.  I tied charcoal twine to the top and stamped the sentiment in black to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Lovely Lace by Tobi

Hello!  Tobi here to share something special. What is more elegant than lace?
The word "lace" conjures so many words in my mind, most prominent of which are:
love, wedding, sexy, delicate, sophisticated and classic.

This card embodies all of those words:

I paired black lace with a white doily, and built my card around that. A monotone color scheme keeps this card classic and timeless, and the SRM stickers pair beautifully with all of the other elements.

Layering Vinyl by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie joining you today to share some vinyl layering fun!

There is no doubt that vinyl crafting is here to stay, it's so easy to use that nearly anyone can enjoy this method of altering. The one thing I see people shy away from is layering vinyl, and it is a snap to layer colors to achieve a dimensional design, let me show you how.

I chose a small black and white clipboard to work with,  I wanted a little clipboard to use as art for the wall next to my desk. I chose a bold design with multiple colors, and cut all four colors of vinyl with my silhouette.

Weed the cuts, and begin by laying down the first color, or the main piece of your design, in this case the greenery is the focal point that everything else layers onto.

You simply continue to build your design one piece at a time, just as you would paper, don't worry your first layer will stay in place as long as you properly adhere it.

Once I had all my layers in place I added a few little dots cut out with a circle punch, and a gold sentiment.

It is a perfect little addition to my studio, and only took around 10 minutes to make once I cut the vinyl.

Layering colors and textures of vinyl is really quite simple, even a beginner can enjoy spectacular results with a little know how!

Sing to the Lord Bible Journaling by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today with you to share my Sing to the Lord Bible journaling inspired by one of the songs we sing as part of our liturgy at my church.

I chose my colors based on Bible Journaling I had already done on the opposite page. While the journaling stands alone, I wanted it not to clash with the other page. To achieve this, I kept the color scheme the same.

I started by sponging blue, orange, and green ink onto my page. I didn't blend my ink very much, because I didn't want my colors to get muddy.

Next, I used the Sing & Rejoice Stamp Set border to add a music note background and "Sing to the Lord" to my page. I used waterproof ink to keep the ink from bleeding or smearing if the page is handled a lot.

Next, I added a bit more depth to my stamping by tracing some of the letters with a Reminisce White Gel Pen. I have owned many white gel pens, and this one is by far my favorite. It goes on smooth, doesn't skip, and shows up well on dark colors.

Finally, I highlighted the Bible verses that were the focus of my journaling with Marvy Color In Watercolor Pencils.

I love that this stamp set lets me do some "musical" Bible journaling. Come! Let us sing to the LORD!

Lovely Layout with Stitches and Lace by Karen

Hello! Karen joining you today and I'm sharing a layout that I love. Of course the main reason I love it is because it features my favorite girl, but I also really like the many different elements working together on this page.

For this layout I reached for my SRM lace, sticker stitches and several other border stickers. The main patterned paper inspired the emphasis on stitching and it seems like a natural fit to add the lace ribbon across the bottom of the page as well as gathered at the top of the journaling card tucked inside of the patterned kraft bag. This type of hidden journaling is a favorite of mine. It allows me to write as much as I want without trying to compete with a lot of pattern on the page.

I pulled lots of stitches and used them throughout the page.

Here's a couple more detail shots of the layers of borders and stitches, even across the bottom of my photo, and a bit more of the journaling card peeking out of its pocket.

Can you ever have too many sticker stitches???

For this layout, I used:

Life is Beautiful by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a vibrant water color card! And there's even a touch of green!  The image was stamped on water color paper and colored using a combination of Watercolor Twist Pencils and Copic markers.  I added the dots with the Copic markers.

I think I went a little too overboard with the glitter...but if you know me, know that can happen quite frequently! LOL!  I used a sticker from the Life is Good sentiment sheet.

I love all the bright colors and glitter...it just screams, Happy to me!
