Bible Margin Stamps Gift Bags by Karen

SRM's new Bible Margin stamps aren't just for Bible journaling. I used a couple of margin stamps as part of a gift bag decoration - and they double as bookmarks!

I stamped the margins on white cardstock which I had watercolored a pretty background. I used watercolor pencils to add more detail to the images. Mounting it onto a piece of colored cardstock helps it stand out against the fun patterned paper bags, doily, and sticker stitches and sentiments.
By using a decorative clip to attach it to the bag, the recipient can easily remove it to use as a bookmark, too

For this project, I used:

Christmas Bags by Shelly

Here's the second post of the day on the SRM Blog!  We have so many wonderful last minute ideas to share before Christmas!  There's still time to do this simple idea from Shelly Kurth.

-------------------

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today I'm sharing a couple little Christmas bags with you!

I think these could be perfect for stocking stuffers or a little gift to a neighbor/friend or perhaps adding them on your Christmas tree for a little surprise! :)

I started with my bags and simply tied them with the strings. I then added some fun stickers onto kraft cardstock and made my sentiment piece into a little banner. Once done, I punched a hole in each for my pieces and then using some jute twine, added them to my bag.
Simple, yeah?!...

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Gift Wrapping by Giorgia

Hello SRM friends, Giorgia here today with you to share an idea for a special gift.  I love to create handmade packaging and with SRM bags and stickers it is really quick and easy.  I created a Christmas bag to contain a gift for one of my creative friends (we are a group of girls who meet each month to create projects all together, we have so much fun!)

Here you can see my gift: it is an handmade faux dori (if you are interested in how I made it, you can find the photo tutorial here in my blog.) I gathered all the supplies I needed and started creating my bag. I chose the red polka dot bag because it screams Christmas to me, and the bigger size was just perfect to contain the faux dori.

To close the bag I fold the top, punched two holes and passed red jute through them, then I created a bow.

In a first time I thought to use the white heart paper doily but then I changed my mind: I composed the sentence "ho ho ho, merry Christmas to you!" with some stickers, alternating red and black color. I attached the stickers to white paper and then adhered them on the bag with different angles to create movement.I also added two circular stickers because they reminded me of the polka dots.

Until next time,
ciao, Giorgia

House Warming Card and Gift Bag by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with a couple of cards and gift bags that I thought would be perfect for enclosing a gift card for a new home owner or a recent college grad!
I used my Silhouette to cut the silhouettes! I adhered a dream sticker from the Everyday Life collection.
I added a few sequins and some glitter glue to the heart.

I am in love with these cute striped bags!  I added a silhouette and a sentiment from the Everyday Life collection. I wanted the word, Life to stand out, so I colored it with a pink Copic marker.

I am loving the colors here of mint green, turquoise, and hot pink!

I did the same set but used the pink polka dot bags instead and a slightly different color combination. I used the same sticker for the bag and again colored it with a pink Copic marker.

Pink and baby blue....doesn't get much sweeter!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!

Winter Treat Bags (A Bit Early!) by Michele

It's never too early to get a jump on your holiday projects right?
I always find it funny when I am creating for Christmas and I am in shorts, AC, and it's 95 degrees outside! ;)
I am totally in love with these new linen bags!
I decided to add a dot of Silver Stickles to the center of each dot for added sparkle.

The flowers and snowflakes were cut using my die cut machine.
I added more Stickles to the centers of the flowers.

I stamped the word "WINTER" on a tag and embossed it in white.  I stamped the snowflake in a pale pink on a circle and then adhered it to the tag.  I added silver STickles to the center of the snowflake.

I added silver jingle bells, silver string and tinsel and glued it underneath my snowflake/flower combo.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Linen Bags! by Michele

Good morning friends, Michele here with a fun holiday project!  I am totally loving these new linen bags! The polka dots totally slay me!  I often pull inspiration from the stuff collected on my desk from other projects, like these red flowers. This was my starting point.

I decided to punch a black tag and stamp and emboss the little cup and sentiment from the Fall Plans Planner stamp set.   I loved the little checkerboard pattern and stamped that between them for a bit of interest.  I dabbed my finger in a bit of white ink and ran it over the edges to give a chalk board effect.  ( A technique I hadn't used in a LONG while!) ;)

I added green glittery leaves and gold twine nestled under the flower.

For the holidays I will slip a few packets of hot cocoa in each bag and leave it
on one of my co-workers' desks to brighten their day!

Patterned bags by Giorgia Rossini

Hello!  Susan here to let you know that this is the week that our new design team begins it's term.  And today is also my birthday and I though what better way to celebrate it than with beautiful patterned bags from new design team member Giorgia Rossini.  She has a soft and dreamy style and she is loving her SRM.  So let's get started introducing you to Giorgia and her beautiful work.  To learn more about Georgia check out a short bio at the end of this post.
--------------

Hello SRM friends, Giorgia here with my first DT project and I am so happy to be with you!

I am here to share a quick and easy birthday treat bag project. Me and my best friends all have birthdays in the summer, almost a week from one another, so we celebrate all together with a dinner out. This year I wanted to create something special for them, so I created these lithe packages using SRM bags.

Each bag contained a magnet and some sweets.  Since the magnet has some ceramic elements, I wrapped it with bubble paper embellished with labels by the dozen birthday stickers

I also added handwritten wishes with Le Pen 4 Piece Set - Dark Colors.

I used a SRM white lace doily to close the bag, folded it in a half to fit around the bag and then I decorated it with SRM products. I used a punched piece and added a sticker from the sentiment/love sheet on top. I added a small bow made with light pink jute. I often use a staple to hold embellishments down, since it adds texture and that little extra. Then I added stickers from We've Got Your Border/Birthday and Stickers By The Dozen/Birthday. As a final touch I added a sequin to make it sparkle!

For the green chevron patterned bag I used the same design, changing colors and stickers.  I layered a cute Stickers By The Dozen/Birthday Birdie on a  punched pieceadded a small bow made with light blue jute and completed the bag with We've Got Your Border/Birthday stickers and Stickers By The Dozen/Birthday. Again, I added a sparkling sequin!

I am in love with these bags!  They are perfect for gifts, treats or just because!  What would you do with them?

Until next time,
ciao, Giorgia

Mint, Black & Gold Favor Bags by Shantaie

Greeting from Shantaie!  I know it's not red, white and blue but I've got something fun to share with you today.

Hi party people! I love these patterned bags for favors, especially when you can add another dimension to the overall theme. In this case I have a black, mint and gold event. I love the contrast between gold shimmer and the natural feel of jute twine, it's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll ;)

To make this favor bag, I added a banner of floral print, and gold foil layered under a trio of stars. To the largest star I added a thinking of you sticker, and wrapped the top with jute twine in mint. A sprinkling of gold sequins finish the bag.

Hello Card & Gift Bag by Amber

Hello SRM Sticker fans! It's Amber here, today I have a fun colorful floral card and matching gift bag to share.

I paired a "Hello" sentiment stamp, a fun mint polka dotted patterned bag, and a super cute clear white sentiment sticker from SRM with some stamps in my stash to create my card and matching gift bag.

I started my card by folding an A2 sized pink card base and die cutting two pierced rectangles out of some white cardstock. I set my pink card base aside and started my stamping. I randomly stamped my layered flower images in some colorful mini Tsukineko Inks and some mini metallic Encore Inks. Before adhering my stamped panel I laid it over my pink card base and traced around the inside die cut rectangle so I could see where to emboss my sentiment. I removed my stamped panel and set it aside to heat emboss my sentiment. Once my sentiment was heat embossed I adhered my stamped panel to my card base.

I thought it would be fun to create a matching gift bag to go along with my card so I pulled out a mint colored bag with a large polka dot pattern printed on it, added some white ribbon, and a two layer tag. I stamped the bottom tag to match my card and then layered a second tag die cut out of vellum over it. I added a white clear "Thanks" sticker to the middle of my vellum tag and then tied both tags to my gift bag with some white ribbon.

Sing Praises by Amber

Hello everyone! It's Amber here, today I have a mini card and matching treat bag to share. Last month Susan released and introduced a bunch of fun new products to the shop, clear stamps, patterned treat bags, calligraphy pens, gel pens, jute twine, and lace. I used one of the new 5 1/8" x 6 3/8" mint chevron treat bags and two of the newest Bible Journaling stamp sets to create my mini card and treat bag.

I absolutely fell in love with these fun printed white treat bags when I laid eyes on them. These 5 1/8" x 6 3/8" bags are available in 7 different colors and 3 different designs. I used one of the mint colored bags with the chevron pattern printed on.

I took a slightly darker piece of mint cardstock and die cut a circle out of the upper half of it with a circle die. I stamped the entire piece of cardstock with some black ink and the music note bar from the Sing & Rejoice stamp set. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the singing bird and music notes from the same stamp set, colored the little bird yellow, ink blended the background with some mint ink, and attached the whole piece behind the circle I die cut out of the mint piece cardstock. On another piece of white cardstock  I stamped the phrase "Sing Praises" in black ink from the Words Of Faith #2 stamp set. I cut my sentiment piece down and added it right below my stamped bird. Before adhering the stamped piece I created to my treat bag I added a little yellow clothespin, black twine, and some mini staples to my sentiment. I also splattered the front of my treat bag with some bright yellow glimmer mist from Tattered Angels to match my little yellow singing bird.

I thought it would be fun to create a little mini card to go along with my treat bag so I created one to match. I started with a 3' x 6' piece of white cardstock and folded it in half to create a 3' x 3' card base. I cut a slightly smaller piece of mint cardstock and stamped the entire piece with the music note bar from the Sing & Rejoice stamp set in some black ink. I die cut a circle out of some white cardstock, stamped my "Be Joyful" sentiment from the Words Of Faith #2 stamp set in black ink, and ink blended behind my sentiment with some matching mint ink. I adhered the stamped mint piece of cardstock to my white card base and then adhered my circle piece stamped with my sentiment to the center of that. I hope you enjoyed my project today. Thanks for visiting!
