Hello! Card by Michele

Good morning! Michele here!  I am so glad to "be back!"  I recently moved into a new home and had to wait patiently while my craft room was being painted, decorated, and the zillion boxes unpacked and organized! But I am officially back now and couldn't be happier!
I created this card with a stamp I found during my move and thought it would pair beautifully with SRM's BIG Hello stamp set!

This large bold sentiment was perfect!  I wanted to "ground" it, so I decided to stamp a few stitches using the Stamped Stitches set.  I added a bit of ribbon to finish the card.

So glad to be back!
Thank you for stopping by today!

Spring Cards in Gift Box by Angie

Hello SRM friends! Angie here with you again today to share some spring cards and a cute box to gift them in!!

I made all three cards using stamps from the Just Believe stamp set. For the blue card in the middle, I stamped the flowers and leaves on vellum. Then I used watercolor markers and water to give them the watercolor look. Then I just fussy cut them out. I placed the flowers and stems vertically down the card and used foam under the smaller flowers to add some dimension.

I made the blue background by using distress oxides and water to give it the bleached look. I added some gold and pink ink mist splatters as well.

The word 'spring' is from the Seasonal Plans stamp set.

For the front of this pink and white card, I added this fun doodle stamp from the Stamped Stitches set. I love how it adds so much to the card will such little effort!! I stamped and fussy cut the flower and stems and gave the card a fun edge by using a punch to make the scalloped border.

The green card uses lots of fun SRM products such as the small lace doiliesbright blank labels by the dozen and the Easter Express Yourself stickers.

For the gift box, I used the A2 Clear Card Box. I punched two holes in the top and simply threaded the twine through the holes and made a bow. SRM has lots of twine to choose from. The flower borders on the box are from the Thank You Stickers by the Dozen set and the green label in the middle is another Labels by the Dozen sticker. I added another fussy cut flower, stem and a bird to finish off the box.

Thank you for visiting the blog today. I hope my project gives you some inspiration to create your own!!

Love You Striped Card by Tobi

Hi, there! It's Tobi here and today I have a card using a whole bunch of border stamps from SRM Stickers clear stamps. I (like most of you) follow a lot of blogs and file ideas and inspiration in the ol' noggin' for later use - and today my inspiration comes from Kristina Werner

I have been discovering new ways to use my new Oxide Inks, and I definitely love to blend with them, but also stamping with them is fabulous. Because it's kind of like pigment, you can layer colours on top of each other and the colours POP!

Process:
  1. using masking tape, mask off different sized sections and sponge ink (oxide ink) onto background.
  2. grab as many border stamps as possible.
  3. stamp border stamps on top of inked lines in various colours
  4. sprinkle water to activate "oxidization"
  5. stamp sentiment in black and add die cut

      SRM Supplies:
       Other supplies:
  • Sizzix die cut
  • Ranger Distress Oxide Inks
  • Ranger Archival ink (black)
  • Bazzill Cardstock

Stamped Stitches Background Stamp by Juliana

Hello everyone! It's Juliana here with you to share a card I created using the SRM Stickers Stamped Stitches stamp set.  It is a great set, that is perfect for creating stitched borders on cards, scrapbook pages and more. However, I thought it would be fun to share with you a different way to use this stamp set.

Instead of using each stamp individually, I placed each of the stamps on to a large acrylic stamping block and created my own background stamp. I stamped the image using Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and then heat set it using a heat gun.

I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to create the rainbow of colors. I wanted to keep the colors bright, so I only added a very small amount of water to help blend the individual colors.

To further embellish the card, I added several die cut stars and some wood veneer stars. The final touch was a stamped sentiment. I used the "Hello" from the Coffee Time stamps set using Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I hope you enjoyed learning a fun new way to use the SRM Stickers Stamped Stitches stamp set. Thanks for stopping by today!
HUGS!

Spring Notes by Annette

Happy Day SRM Stickers Friends...
Annette Allen here with you today.

Today I am getting crafty with:
SRM Stickers...

Spring is around the corner and I am thinking of bright pretty colors.

The background is watercolor. I used Copic Sketch markers to color these lovely flowers to match the card. Did you know that you could color SRM Stickers with Copic Markers? You can also use Chameleon Pens. It drys almost instantly so no smearing.

I used one of the borders from SRM Stamps: Stamped Stitches #1 to stamp on each card.

I also added a little May Arts burlap string just because I can. Fun way to welcome spring with a sweet note to your friend or special someone. Fill their day with bright colors.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a crafty sweet day.

Mini Calendar Frame by Christine

Mini Calendars are the perfect item to make for little gifts for the upcoming holiday season! Christine joining you today with a Mini Calendar that hangs in a frame that is perfect to set on a desk.

SRM Stickers Blog - Mini Calendar Frame by Christine - #minicalendar #2016 #altered #DIY #stickers #stitches #die

Using several things can make this project a quick and easy one!  I used some ready made tags as the base for each month.   The tags came in a variety of colors and since I love color I went with that!  But you could just as easily do it with all white tags or black or kraft and make it less bright!  The Wafer Thin Die for the Decorative Calendar made cutting out the Decorative Calendars fast!  I cut out a simple patterned paper and put that on each tag.  I then used the metal die cut to cut out the calendar stickers and mounted those to the white cardstock.  I added those to the center.  Once they were done I added them to a jump ring.

I took the glass part out of this standing frame and then put my jump ring at the top so the tags were hanging down and can be flipped over for each new month.

To add some variety I used different sticker stitches throughout - some got white!

Some got black sticker stitches!  Our stitches are available in both stickers and stamps lots of options there!  I'm partial to the stickers so I went that route but it wouldn't be any more difficult to do the stamps!

We can't wait to see what you've been creating with the 2016 Mini Calendars!

Give Thanks Linen Bag & Tag by Amy

Hello crafty friends!!  This is Amy here to share a fun treat bag and tag with you that would be perfect to give during the Thanksgiving holiday.

SRM Stickers Blog - Give Thanks Linen Bag & Tag by Amy - #linen #bag #BIGStamps #Thanks #thankyou #clearstamps, #fall, #autumn #stickers #stampedstitches #giftbag #treatbag #DIY

I started with the 3x5 Rustic Linen Bag and stamped it with the Big Thank You clear stamp set.  I made sure that the stamp was well saturated and then pressed firmly down on the bag and held it for a minute to let the ink sink into the fabric a bit.  I think that it turned out really well.

Take a look at the stamped image up close…..

I cut a tag on my Silhouette using THIS file and added some stamped stitches from the Stamped Stitches clear stamp set.

I then added pumpkins that I cut from THIS file.  I tied them up with some Peapod bakers twine and then added a sentiment from the Fall Sticker Sentiments.

Here is a closer look at the tag….

SRM Stickers Blog - Smile by Tenia - #card #clearstamps #janesdoodles #teatime #lace #twine #stickers

I had so much fun creating this card!! I created this card using  SRM's new  Stamped Stitches and Jane's Doodles Tea Time set.

And some of SRM's new white 4" Lace, a bit of Twinery Twine and a sentiment from the We've Got Your Sticker/ Hello.

This card was pretty easy to put together too. First create the card from Ivory cardstock. Next stamp and emboss image and stitching onto Kraft cardstock. After that affix "Smile" sticker to card, affix washi and add twine and lace to card. Adhere image panel onto card and you're done!

I Woof You & Watercolors by Juliana

Hello SRM Friends! It's Juliana here to share a card I created using the A Dog's Life Stamp Set. Having a four legged fur baby myself, I immediately fell in love with this stamp set and couldn't wait to create a card with it.

SRM Stickers Blog - I Woof You & Watercolors by Juliana - #card #janesdoodles #adogslife #stampedstitches #watercolors

I used some Post-it notes to create masks of the dog and dog house so that I could layer the images. I then stamped the images with permanent black ink and colored them in using watercolors.

To create my "grass" I used the zig zag stitches stamp from the Stamped Stitches #1 Stamp Set.

Once the paint was dry, I gave my puppy a shiny nose by applying a layer of Glossy Accents.

Don't you just "Woof" this new stamp set too? Thanks for stopping by today and we can't wait to see what you create and share with us using this set!

BIG Hello Card Set Tutorial from Juliana

Hello SRM Friends! It's Juliana here today to share a set of Hello Cards I created using the new clear stamps from SRM. I love to have extra cards on hand and it's easy to create more than one of the same design when you already have all of your supplies out and ready to go!

SRM Stickers Blog - BIG Hello Card Set Tutorial from Juliana - #cards #cardset #stamps #bighello #stampedstitches

For this set,  I used the SRM Stamped Stitches #1 and BIG Hello. I began by stamping my sentiment - the Big Hello - onto the lower right hand corner using Archival Black Ink.

I then placed all of the stitches stamps from the Stamped Stitches #1 set and one of the stitches stamps from the Big Hello set onto a mounting block.

I wanted to have enough of them to cover the front of an A2 sized card. I then stamped them with Versamark embossing ink on the white cardstock, applied white embossing powder and then heat set it with my heat gun.

I repeated this for a total of 4 card fronts. Next, I selected a color from my watercolor palette and brushed it across the Hello sentiment. I used a different color for each card to add some variety to the set. Once the watercolor paint was try, I splattered some spray ink for a bit more color.

Finally I embellished each one with a different piece of wood veneer.  I love all the different white stitches on the card.  Click to enlarge to get a closer look!
