Patriotic Layouts Parade

Leading up to the 4th of July I'm sharing with you some patriotic projects from design team members from the past and present.  Today it's all about layouts!

This beauty is from Juliana Michaels from our current team.  Love all the SRM clear stickers that she's used on this lovely layout.

This layout has always been one of my favorites from Becky Williams.
Again, lots of clear patriotic SRM stickers for this page.

And who can forget Jing-Jing Nickels?  What a talent.  So inventive and fun!
Look at all the SRM clear stickers that she squeezed into this layout!

And finally, Cathy Harper from our current team celebrates the 4th of July with Red, White, Blue and Turquoise! How fun! I spy lots of SRM clear stickers on this one too.

As you can see from these layouts, SRM's clear stickers make layouts easy to add titles and subtitles.  Just peel and stick!

Happy 4th of July weekend to all!  Have a great one!

December Pocket Page Layout by Tessa

Hello!  It's Tessa joining you today with a fun pocket page layout!  Since we are celebrating everything Bossy Joscie Flair since the beginning of the month, I thought to make a pair of pocket pages with a touch of Flair, Bossy Joscie Flair!

We are so busy around the holidays!  I always think it would be fun to create an album just for December but when it comes down to it, I just don't have time!  Pocket pages seem to be my answer -- lots of room to display many photos.  Can you spot the Bossy Joscie Flair on this page?

I wanted my pages to be picture heavy but still have some cute embellishments.  I chose stickers from the following sheets:

I mixed the stickers with papers from Teresa Collins' Candy Cane Lane line and added a little flair from the Bossy Joscie Modern Christmas collection.  I also used some 4" White Lace Doilies and Stone baker's twine.

love the look of vellum right now and ended up using quite a bit of it on this layout.  They add a semi-opaque layer that looks really cool over the photos.  Do you spy the pair of Flair on this page?

I created a title panel on my first layout.  The December sticker from the Sticker Months Large/ Sleek sheet worked perfectly for this!  I stuck it down onto the background paper and then added the sentiment from the We've Got Your Stickers Plus/ Christmas Tree right below it.  Below the title, I made a cluster of embellishments including a Bossy Joscie Christmas flair using a doily folded in half as my base.  I love the look of all these goodies together!

Here is a peek at more stickers in action- the Christmas cheer sentiment from the Sticker Sentiments/ Happy Holidays sheet.  It was layered onto vellum and cut out.  On the panel next door, I added a sentiment straight onto the picture- such a fun look!

Here is more vellum layering and a touch of Flair:

I added a transparency sheet over this photo and then added sequins and another sentiment from the Sticker Sentiments/ Happy Holidays sheet.

Here's the double page layout.  Be sure to click on the image to enlarge.

I am already planning to use a pocket page design for this year's December activities!  I love how easy it was to put it all together- especially with cute SRM products!  This was so much fun!

This post concludes on Bossy Joscie feature.  Two weeks of Bossy Joscie and SRM has been a blast!  Be sure to share your Bossy Joscie & SRM projects on our Flickr.  Thank you Joscelyne Cutchens for such fun and fabulous products. We loved having you visit with SRM.

Baby Pocket Pages - SRM Style by Christine

Do you have lots of baby pictures that haven't found there way onto a traditional layout yet?  I sure do and today I have a couple pocket style pages to share with you that capture those memories and make them even more special with SRM goodies! Christine Meyer joining you today and combining everything from border stickers to punched pieces to baby sentiments to make some precious pages!

SRM Stickers - Baby Pocket Pages - SRM Style by Christine - #layout #baby

I opted to do two separate pages instead of a full spread because I didn't have enough pictures that coordinated to make a spread work.  For this first one I used We've Got Your Border Baby Boy stickers to create my top and bottom borders. Each pocket is accented with words from the Fancy Sentiment Baby stickers, Sentiment Baby stickers, and Black Sticker Stitches.   The colors from the We've Got Your Border Baby Boy stickers are a perfect match for traditional baby boy colors found in paper lines throughout the industry.

The more I use them, the more I realize that the new SRM Punched Pieces (I used small) are an absolute staple to match up with SRM Stickers. They are perfect for applying those circle stickers to!

This second pocket page took on a different color scheme that ties in well with other stickers from SRM!  My title is created from more of the Punched Pieces (Medium & Large) combined with Stickers by the Dozen Take 2 - Baby and the little yellow scallop from We've Got Your Border - Thank You.

I love the pop of yellow and the sentiment from the Express Yourself/Everyday Boy sticker that I added to this corner.

SRM's labels can be perfect for journaling spots!  This one comes from Labels by the Dozen/Valentine set. This set would be perfect not only for Valentine's stuff but baby/kid layouts that you have using red.  I surrounded the label with Black Sticker Stitches and a border from Stickers by the Dozen - Valentine.

As a busy mom of 4 I'm always looking for quick and easy ways to scrapbook my brood.  SRM Stickers make it not only quick and easy but also fun and adorable!

Mixed Media Layout by Yvonne

When Yvonne Yam makes a project, whether it's a layout, a card or an altered piece, you can be assured that there will be plenty of ink and mixed media techniques involved!  She loves texture and color!

Here's a double page layout celebrating a family birthday.  Yvonne has done lots of background in inks creating a bight and bold pattern.  And she has used lots of SRM's clear stickers.  She is especially loving SRM's Sticker Stitches
Click on all of the images to see more detail.

How many SRM Stickers can you spot on this page?  I see Birthday Borders, Birthday Sticker Sentiments and Sticker Stitches in white and in black.

The black Sticker Stitches really make the little photos pop out of the page!

And on the second page, lots more SRM Stickers including a definition under the family photo, more sticker stitches in white around the photo, Sticker Stitches in red at the bottom, a cupcake sticker and some Birthday Sticker Sentiments sprinkled all over the page.  Yvonne loves that clear stickers go so well with her Mixed Media techniques.

And here are all of the delicious birthday stickers from SRM that Yvonne used for her project.

Think of all the cards and layouts and altered projects you could create using this stash!  View all of the Birthday Stickers from SRM HERE.

Mixed Media Layouts by Yvonne

Yvonne Yam loves to get inky when creating her Mixed Media projects and she loves to top them off with SRM Stickers!  The clear stickers work beautifully with mixed media.  Check out all the stickers that Yvonne used on this layout that was masked and misted.

Love how she puts the clear stickers right on her photos.  And Yvonne is loving the Sticker Stitches.  She used them in 3 different places on this layout and she's got plenty more for other projects!

Here are the stickers that Yvonne used:

On her second layout, which was also masked and misted, Yvonne, in her own words, "went crazy with stickers!".  She likes to keep her layouts relatively flat and that's why she loves to use SRM Stickers to help her finish her layouts.

As Yvonne says "SRM stickers are great for "dressing" up the edges of your photos, especially if you are too lazy to ink (like me!)."  Yvonne also loves to use stickers to fill up speech bubbles that are so popular these days.

Here are the stickers Yvonne used on her second layout:

Thanks for all the inspiration Yvonne, showing us how SRM Stickers are just perfect for Mixed Media layouts!

Guest Designer; Keri Babbitt

We are excited to welcome Keri Babbitt as a Guest Designer here on the SRM Blog today. What a talent!  Did you know that Keri was a Cover Girl on the May 2013 Creating Keepsakes!  Like I said... what a talent!

Here's a bit about Keri in her own words.
"Hi there, I’m Keri Babbitt. I’m a mom of two, who’s been happily crafting since high school. I love capturing life’s moments and expressing myself artistically through craft-making.

I’m obsessed with anything vintage and love trying new techniques, as well as finding creative ways combine new products with my existing stash. I love to experiment with any and every scrapping style, from minimalist to shabby chic. I am often a grid‐based, multi‐photo scrapper, and enjoy finding well‐ designed ways to include lots of photos.

Other than crafting, I enjoy: curling up with a good book, dancing, vintage-shopping, and being in the outdoors or watching Mythbusters with my family.   You can find more of my work on my blog at  http://kensingtondesign.blogspot.com ."

Recently Keri won some SRM Border Stickers in a Guest Designer giveaway on the SRM Blog and I noticed that she had posted a card on the SRM Flickr with the borders she won. I took one look at that card and knew that I wanted to ask Keri to be a guest designer.

Here is the beautiful card I found on our Flickr that Keri made using SRM's Bright Borders.  How inventive and perfect!

Next Keri made this fun and fabulous layout again using SRM's Borders but this time both Bright and Pastel.  Like the title says "Love This"!

The colors and the shapes on this layout are so playful and perfect; so hip and happening.

And for her second layout Keri used more of SRM's Borders Bright and Pastel.  Love the zig zag stitches top left and top right going up the side. Those stitches are found on SRM Borders as well as SRM Sticker Stitches.  Such a fun product!

Those SRM mini sentiments from the borders, "happiness" and "it's the little things", work so well in this circle element.

Here's the Bright and Pastel borders that Keri used.

As you can see, Keri has lots of borders left over after making a card and 2 layouts so she can create many more projects.  I wonder what she will make next?

Just so happens that Keri just sent me a darling little gift bag project that she made using SRM's Glassine Bags and more of her SRM Borders!  I knew that she would just have to make more.  I love this darling little bag.

You make me smile Keri, with your Sweet Friend border.  Perfection!

Here's what Keri has to say about SRM:

"I have long loved the versatility of SRM's clear-background stickers, and especially love to use them as the finishing touch on my scrapbook pages.  I enjoy the great variety of colors & neutrals, and often use both on the same project.  The stitches make perfect borders, and I love to use the word/phrase stickers to accent & complement my titles.  The stickers blend so well around the edges, and are a classic way to join in on the transparent trend that continues to be popular."
Thanks Keri for loving your SRM and for sharing your talent with us today.  We love your work!

Sticker Stitches Layout by Juliana

Juliana Michaels used SRM's Sticker Stitches to create a patchwork quilt look for this lovely layout. There are 17 different stitches on each sheet and the stitches are printed on clear.  When you put them on paper, it looks like you used a sewing machine, but shhhhhhh don't tell anyone.  It's just a sticker!

Juliana cut each sticker 0.25" shorter than the width and/or height of each square/rectangle of patterned paper. She then adhered the stickers around the outside edge of each piece of paper. She used 9 of the 17 different stitch styles available on each sheet of stickers. She used two sheets of Sticker Stitches to complete all of the larger squares/rectangles. Juliana had to use one strip from another sheet of Sticker Stitches to make a stitched border long enough to go around the long orange strip at the bottom.

What a fun and fabulous idea to make a layout look like a quilt. And what quilt is complete without stitching?

Looks like Juliana had a lot of fun creating this project! I love all the different stitches and papers.  Simply delicious!

What would you use your Sticker Stitches for?  The original Sticker Stitches came in black and now they are available in colors and white!
