Bible Journaling on Romans 12:15 by Christine

Ever have a verse that just sticks out to you for several days.  Romans 12:15 has been in my brain so I decided to art journal it and reflect a little more on putting it into practice!

Life sometimes throws some hard situations that way and although we like to share our art we may not want to share the personal journaling.  This is where SRM's Le Pens come in handy....you can use them on the back side of your cardstock and they don't bleed thru and you don't have to share your feelings with the world.  I did just that for this piece!  I let God's word do the talking to share and reflected on my own on the backside.

I LOVE the Big Faith stamps (and am so excited for the new releases!!!) and The big REJOICE was the focus for my verse.  But I also used several different stamp sets for my doodling!  And added some loops around the edge, also from the Rejoice stamp. 

The Doodle Flowers set is so versatile and worked perfectly for this! After stamping with it - I then used gelatos to add some messy color.  I also used the Life is Good set for my hearts and Springtime for my butterflies.

Bible Journaling by Christine

Hi SRM fans!  Christine joining you today with a chance to share some faith based projects. I was so excited when I heard SRM was coming out with some stamps that are for Bible Journaling.   I haven't got into the journaling directly into the Bible - but I do love to sketch out verses that are meaningful to me and get artistic with those.  Today I have a few to share with you that highlight SRM stamps!  I used gelatos to make all my backgrounds and didn't involve water at all.  

First up I did a page with 1 Corinthians 13:13 and focused especially on the "faith, hope, and love" part using the Words of Faith and BIG Faith Stamps.  I also used a bunch of stamps from the Doodle Flower stamp set - this was a really nice addition to the words!  To create my background I simply did a quick blot from the gelato and then used a sponge to spread it out.

This second one I went a lot bolder with the gelatos and really made the color richer.  The verse came from Psalm 115:18.  I experimented with using extra layers of paper on this one to see how that changed up the coloring and effect (see "Praise the Lord"). I love that about journaling - it allows you to experiment! I used all the same stamp sets but this time created a scene of flowers and really played up the border stamp from the Doodle Flower Stamp Set!

My last page comes from Philippians 4:4 and really focuses on the Big Faith stamp and the heart is from the Life is Good stamp set.

Day #4 - New Product Introductions - Faith & Bible Journaling Stamps

Welcome to Day #4 of our new product introductions!  Today we share with you new stamps from SRM for Faith or Bible Journaling.  

First up is our BIG FAITH stamp.  So big and bold and beautiful!

And here's a beautiful, uplifting journaling page measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" from Christine Meyer who happens to be the wife of a pastor.  She's loving these new faith stamps!  

Next we want to share our new WORDS OF FAITH stamp.    Offering 10 different sentiments plus a cross and butterflies, Christine says she will use this for so many different things… Bible Journaling, Cards, Mixed Media and more! 

Christine's second journaling project combines elements of the WORDS OF FAITH stamp and the BIG FAITH stamp.  Plus some images from Jane's Doodles DOODLE FLOWERS stamps.  

And her third project uses WORDS OF FAITH as well as Jane's Doodles DOODLE FLOWERS design.  So bright and bold and beautiful!

Our third new stamp called BIG Happy makes me happy! It would be perfect for Bible Journaling, cards, layouts or mixed media.
