Throwback Thursday - TUBES!

Sometimes it's fun to walk down memory lane and today we are going to re-visit some of my favorite TUBE projects.  The Tubes were introduced in 2010 and they have been a BIG hit ever since.

First up... Tessa Buy's take on a Christmas tube from 2011.

And here's a great idea from Tanya Tahir in November of 2011.

Party Tubes from Amy Heller in November of 2010!

Want to see more ideas for TUBES?  Here are a couple of links where you can find hundreds of TUBE projects!

Make a Wish Birthday Tubes by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today, I'm sharing some fun birthday tubes with you!

I wanted to do something fun and somewhat whimsical, so I thought of a garden/flower themed birthday party. :). Perfect for Spring!

I started with my tubes which I simply added some patterned paper around. Easy, right?...After, I worked on making my tags. I used some bright yellow punched pieces and some little flower die cuts.

For my sentiments, I used some stickers and simply added them to cardstock. Once done, I added them to my tubes and used some twine to tie it all together. Simple, yeah?!...

*Note: Since being a garden themed party, I thought the perfect treat to fill these tubes with would be those little chocolate covered sunflower seeds candies. ;) Though, you can easily fill them with anything you like! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Birthday Gifts with SRM Tubes by Giorgia

Hello SRM friends, Giorgia here with an idea for a sweet birthday gift: many of my colleagues celebrate birthday in January, so I made them a little something.
SRM mini tubes are my go to when I need a cute package for chocolates and sweets: how cool is that you can see through the tubes and be amazed with all the sweetness inside? It really screams open me, eat me!

I filled SRM mini tubes with chocolates and I decorated them with Stickers By The Dozen/Birthday stickers by wrapping around them different strips.
Then I embellished the tubes with jute twine and other stickers.

I adhered clear stickers on punched pieces and on white cardstock that I cut in a banner shape. In just a few minutes I created a cute gift to brighten my colleague's day and celebrate them!

Until next time,

ciao, Giorgia

Mustache You to be my Valentine by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie joining you today with some Valentine treats!
I know it's cliche' to say "I love Valentines day" but it's one of my favorite celebrations!  My girls are far beyond classmate Valentines, so I like to make little gifts for my staff to hand out as a sweet little reminder that I appreciate them.

Most of my team are college students, so I can really have fun with the style of Valentines. I think these could work for almost anyone! My focus was on a little treat using the tubes to fill with candy. For the holder I used this cut from silhouette enlarged to fill the 12x12 cutting mat. I used the base only, and added patterned paper and round prints to embellish.

I layered onto white punched pieces with foam tape, I also added hearts from the stickers by the dozen Valentine onto white cardstock and placed in the center of the printed circles. Tp top that off I added a bit of we've got your border sentiment to a skinny strip and adhered it in the center of the heart

For the mustache version I used the sentiment from that same stickers by the dozen valentine.  I used for the hearts on the sweetheart version. To add a bit of fun a die cut mustache is popped with foam tape and would be cute with a spring wobbler too!

I love using tubes to make favors, give treats and even to store my crafty supplies! I have used them for years and each time I give one as a gift I am always thrilled at the excited reaction to them.

Seeing someone smile is (to me) the best part of giving a Valentine!
XOXO

Valentine Gift Idea by Shanna

Hello SRM Friends!
Shanna here again today with a great gift idea for your favorite Valentine this year!!

I modified a file intended for a tube of chapstick and ended up with a fabulous holder for SRM's versatile plastic tubes!  This project could be easily altered for any holiday or occasion, but I especially enjoyed making a Valentine out of it.  The size even allowed me to sneak in a gift card for the special recipient!

I got to use some fabulous Valentine's stickers available from SRM in this project!  One of my favorite things with SRM's stickers is that the sets all tend to coordinate, even though the are separate sets.  So even though I used stickers from 4 different sheets, they all look like they came in the same set when put together on a project, PERFECT! :)

I used some of the Red and Natural Jute twine for a fun and easy addition, and was able to tie my "tag" to the top of the bag too!

The inside of the box has a pop out piece that the tube slides perfectly into, and I added a few stickers to decorate the panel for the gift card, and actually affix the gift card to the panel as well!

Materials Used:
Jute Twine
Cardstock

Hope you all enjoyed this fun project!  Let me know if you have any questions :)

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Stocking Stuffers with the Magic Wand Tubes by Christine

Hello from Susan!  We have so many wonderful Christmas ideas that I decided to double up on blog posts so we are doing 2 posts today.  The first one was a 12:01 AM and this one is at 12:01 PM!  Still plenty of time to create this amazing idea from Christine Meyer.

----------------

Christine joining you today with a stocking stuffer idea that anyone, young or old, is sure to love!  I've been looking at the Magic Wand Tubes for awhile and longing to fill them with skittles or M & M's - Christmas seemed like the perfect time to do just that.

These were super easy to put together with the help of some vinyl, punched pieces, and stickers by the dozen!

I used red vinyl and silver vinyl cut into 1/4" strips and wrapped them around the tubes to mimic the look of candy canes.

Punched Pieces in multiple sizes and colors took the lead in decorating.  I then topped them off with Christmas Stickers by the Dozen.  Here's a video walking you thru how I put these together!

Thanks for joining me today - have fun with your holiday crafting!

Boo! Halloween Tubes & Pillow Boxes by Tangii

Hey yall, Tangii here.  For today's post I put together some Halloween goodies for the neighborhood kiddo's.  I started out playing with some Clear Tubes and then couldn't really stop myself, lol. and I added some small Kraft Pillow Boxes.

I grabbed some Fall candy from the store to fill up the Tubes (M&M's, Caramels & Candy Corn Assortment) and a couple of sticker sheets to decorate with.  I chose to use Stickers By The Dozen: Halloween and We've Got Your Stickers: Treats.  I just used 1 sheet of each, I was trying to keep this as an affordable idea, I figured I could make at least 10 more tubes with the 2 sheets I grabbed.

I liked that the stickers had a clear background so the candies showed through.  For those "tags" at the top, I grabbed some of these great Punched Pieces (they come in 3 sizes), I chose a small layered on a medium.  To fill in some of the space on the medium circle I used a Black & a White Gel Reminisce Pen to add some dots.  I wrapped some Black & Orange Twine around the tube a few times, then tied a bow through the tags.

And finally, these adorable little Pillow Boxes!  I LOVE that they come in Kraft (also available in clear)!!  I added a few of the stickers from the same 2 sheets, closed them up and secured them with some great Orange Jute!  I LOVE how easily these all came together (seriously, I worked on them while doing laundry!).  Between the "quick & easy" and the "easily affordable", I will be making these for all of our Trick-or-Treaters!

Happy Crafting!

Sports Tubes by Shantaie

Hi guys!  Shantaie here having some fun with TUBES!

The word "Fall" is practically synonymous with gatherings, this time of year we come together with friends and family for hearty meals, warmth, and for football fans game time! We all have our favorite teams, and favorite players and favorite game day snacks, the one thing we all can agree on is that game day parties are a great time no matter who you are cheering for.

I love these tubes for a sweet little treat to give each tailgater or to place on the table along with the nachos and party subs, filled with mint M&M's in green they are adorable sporty and sweet!

To make the tags, I used medium green punched pieces and added a white sticker stitches border along the bottom to look like the field (cute right?) I added a goal post I cut with my Silhouette and put the football sticker from the have a ball sheet onto cardstock and trimmed them out, and attached them to the goalposts.
A double bow of twine in peapod and cappuccino was tied around the tubes  and the tags were attached with glue dots. I look forward to sharing these at our next game day gathering!!!

Doggie Treat Tubes by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today, I'm sharing some fun doggie treat tubes with you!

I started with making the tags for the tubes. I used some burlap ribbon and just trimmed it into the tag shape I wanted. After I stamped (and die cut) a dog image I had.

Then did some quick and easy coloring. Once done, I added it to my burlap tag and tube, using some jute twine. To finish things off, I filled each tube with some doggy treats and then slipped them into a fun new Paw Prints patterned bag to match. Simple and fun, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

S'mores Tubes by Shantaie

Good morning!  Shantaie here with a fun summer treat.

S'mores are loved by all, and what could be better than a tube of s'mores to go? A shot of chocolate, marshmallow, and crispy sweet graham crackers...yummy!!!

I filled each tube with a little of each ingredient and topped it off with a tag stamped with arrows from the bible background stamp set and a paper pieced campfire, and a little banner of

To make your own, just fill with a few graham bears, mini marshmallows, and two mini chocolate bars. Munch on them as a snack to go, or melt for a little s'mores gooey goodness!

Party Animal Vinyl Personalized TUBES by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here with a wonderful way to personalize your SRM Tubes!

Summer is on the horizon and that is something to celebrate! I have a super fun end of the school year favor for all of your party animals! Adding vinyl to a 4" TUBE is such a great way to personalize any idea you may have. How could I resist these little gold animals to top off my TUBE?!! I just knew animal crackers were the perfect little treat for a wild summer going away gift!

I added the vinyl first, then filled the TUBE with animal crackers...minimal snacking occurred, so I had plenty to fill them all up! :)
A bit of twine in two colors was used to tie on the little tags that came with the golden wild animals, and a cut section of border on each lid and tag finished them up!

I know some of you are excited about summer, and some of you may be counting the days until school will start again before it's even out, either way I hope you make it a wild summer to remember!

Valentine Cocoa Station by Shantaie

Well, we have more wonderful Valentine projects for you so we begin Week #2 of Valentine fun!  Today Shantaie shares with us a treat!

Wintertime is the perfect time for a hot cocoa bar, and although I have seen dozens of them decorated for Christmas a Valentine's themed cocoa station is exactly what I wanted for my kitchen!  Shantaie here today to share my Valentine hot cocoa bar idea.

I cut a sweet vinyl saying with my Silhouette using black matte SRM vinyl  and sized it to fit my two tier tray. I layered the saying at the top, but of course you can do it however you like!
So let's talk about the good stuff, what I added to my cocoa station!

I made a set of TUBES filled with cocoa mix, chocolate chips and two little pink heart shaped marshmallows ( I can't handle how cute these are!) A We've got your border sticker was wrapped around each lid and a layered punched piece is topped with a heart sticker from stickers by the dozen Valentine and tied on with baker's twine.

I used a fine point chalk marker in fluorescent pink to write on the label of this candy jar of marshmallows, an essential ingredient to a Valentine's cup of hot chocolate!

Speaking of Labels....I added this one to a ball jar and wrote "& chocolate chips" after the word love. I think little details like this make your station warm and inviting, as well as exciting!

Love is sweet!  And I think that these TUBES would be a wonderful Valentine to classmates, teachers, or just about anyone who could use a warmed heart!!!

I will be stalking pinterest and instagram to see your spin on the Valentine's cocoa bar and the Valentine's cocoa TUBES!!!! Make sure to tag SRM in your photos!!!
