Happy New Year

Fireworks seen at the water festival on our recent trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Doodlewash Watercolour Challenge

January 1 - Fireworks {watercolours, gold pen, white pen} [are so hard to draw and make them look like fireworks]

2 - Penguins

December 29,30,31 - Cocoa, Desert and Gold

3 - Notebook

4 & 5 - Tool and Amaryllis

I thought I would join in with the '64 Million Artists' January Challenge

I've only done one so far as some are writing, and that is not really my thing.
Day 3 was dots - Will circles do? I had a lot of circles cut out from old greetings cards so I made a couple of collages from those.

I decided to add a bit of drawing to them, trees and foliage. I don't know why I did this but I prefer them with it.

Friday Catch Up of Photo Challenges - 05 01 2024

Pull up a Seat Photo Challenge

Bangkok, Royal Palace

taken while walking down the stairs [just one flight in case you were wondering] at Mahanakhon Skywalk, Bangkok -[Thailand's highest observation deck]

you can see the skywalk jutting out at the top of this unusual building below, it's glass and you can walk or lie on it but you cannot take your camera on it.

We could hear birds in the trees but couldn't see them.

See you next year. x

The Hares

  The Hares

I used the Hendricks Scrappy Hare pattern available from Etsy.

Number one made from patches of scrap fabrics embroidered around the edges

The photos above were taken pre whiskers

Hare number two, using a red theme, various scraps attached with embroidery thread. I used plaited threads for his whiskers

Hare number three was made using old jeans and a piece of tie dye fabric with added embroidery.

Hare number four - I used an old embroidered linen cushion and some linen chair backs. Do you remember chair backs from the 50's? The fabric had the pattern printed on with lines for you to embroider over. I embroidered some and left other parts with just the print.

I'm linking to Friday Face Off.

Thanks for visiting and Happy New Year.
