New Fabric Book

I didn't know what to call this book but as it is the fattest one I've ever done I thought I would go with fat book. I don't think I would do one this fat again.... .the first cover I did for it didn't work out too well. I used my old trusty rolling stamps on the fabric below.

Purple Art Buttons and Papers

Altered buttons, art buttons - if you would like to make some check out my art buttons page.
I used art work, recycled envelopes [painted], recycled address book [painted], recycled book page [painted]. I like the square ones the most which was originally a painted doodle.

More purple background papers.

Textures and Colours

I got my old rolling stamps out to make some new backgrounds for the purple book I am now working on. The colours on the rollers looked really nice so I thought I would take some photos of them [they don't look quite as good in the photos - click on image to enlarge]

I have a separate page on this blog showing how to make rolling stamps [right hand column].
These are some of the papers I created, I used other mark making materials too such as a gel printing plate, flat stamps, stencils, texture plate etc

Rolling Stamps [72-75], Sketchbook Pages

The green marks above were made with a rolling stamp [no 83], which I then outlined in pen and colured the rest of the page with brush pens.
I've posted a couple of pages from book 15 but this is the first page.

Rolling stamps 72 to 75
The first two are from different parts of the same wallpaper

The bottom two are parts of the same wallpaper too, but the top roller is made from two torn areas of wallpaper.

Numbers [TAW] and Rolling Stamps 68-71

The Take a Word challenge this week is 'Numbers'.
The numbers I drew in a sketchbook individually, the background was created with a rolling stamp and paint. Then the numbers and background were digitally joined together and altered.
Click the image to enlarge.

The top two rolling stamps were made from fun foam, etched with something sharp, and the lower two are textured wallpapers.
