Bohemian Elephant with DecoArt
Happy Thursday!
Do you love the bohemian pictures like I do? I decided to put it on canvas!
Of course, Using my Mandala stencil from DecoArt had to be incorporated.
The purple paint tones is perfect for the base coat to show off the stencil which was painted in using a pink color. Then I used my Posca pens in black and white to add the dots. To finish it off, I added pearls! It's much more beautiful in person being able to see the dimension of the the pearls!

Gelli plate cards with DecoArt stencils and paint.
If you follow my blog much, you know how much I love my gelli plate!!
DecoArt Americana Acrylic paint is my paint of choice for my gelli plate.
I used DecoArt stencils -doily and dots for the background.
Then stenciled on the girl and stars and the numbers. The sun and sentiment are stamps.
I will tell you, the secret the making the people pop-is shading one side. Ground your design by making a landing space for them to be standing on.
I hope you'll check out the excellent line of stencils and paints that DecoArt sell.

Dream Catcher with DecoArt Stencils
Stencils have totally changed how I create! 🎨
They add dimension and interest to backgrounds and main ideas.
Dream Catchers are so popular and in my rendition, I've created mine using DecoArt Mandala 12x12 stencil. I used only the center of the stencil for my dream catcher.
Here's a close up of the background stencil I used. DecoArt Spirited 6x9 I used only the butterfly and the word dream.
Here's a close up of the Mandala stencil.
Using DecoArt products to enhance your paintings just make sense! I hope you'll shop on their website. I used a variety of their Americana paints.
Dark Plum, Buttermilk, yellow, Orange, Blue, burnt umber, carbon black.

Oopsy Daisy by DecoArt
Happy Monday!
I've been working on spring and summer ideas. The Oopsy Daisy stencil from DecoArt was so fun to use to create this spring canvas!
The stencil is 12x12 and therefore works great on a 12x12 canvas!
I used DecoArt Americana paint.
I gesso'd the canvas first. Then painted a solid coat of Bright Yellow. Then I laid the stencil on, painted the flower and leave section in warm white. That helps cover the yellow before you paint them in with the colors you want to use.
I first painted a base coat of Pink and Lilac.
I used Royal Fushia, Wild Orchid, and Plum for the flowers to shade and add depth.
Sour Apple was the color I used on the leaves.
Once done, I doodled with a white and black Posca pen. Then I splattered "dots" around with watered down warm white and black paint.
The final result is very eye catching! Fun!
