A Day in the Life-2 months old RRR45

The challenge was Buttons & Bows.  I received my order of Really Reasonable Ribbon order today & ran in my craft room to use it!  I used red burlap & some wide brown.

I pulled off 3 of the fibers on the burlap & used glossy accents to put them on the corner of this photo.  Then added my buttons, hand prints & creative memories letters "play". Brianna LOVES the mobiles.

The background red is stampin up textured 12x12 paper..  I used K&Co on the inside. I love their paper.  It's distressed on the edges.

I love Creative Memories letters.  The center pieces come out easily.  You can get multiple fonts.

Word Art Wednesday Challenge

This week our inspiration comes from 1 Corinthians.

In reading 1 Corinthians 13-known as the love chapter, it describes the characteristics of love.

vs 4: love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  8 Love never fails.

Wow! I don't many people-if any-this would describe.  There's only one true example: God
I praise Him for loving me in such a way, forgiving my sins, having the faith in me that I will try harder & do better and giving me the strength & grace I need each day.

Be sure and take advantage of this free word art @ Word Art Wednesday. Every week there is a new one.  Our design team is so talented.

I wanted a layout of my husband and Brianna-our new granddaughter.  This is as close to Agape Love we'll understand.
See the "ribbon" going down the page? It's part of a belt that got with a shirt!! Cool huh? Thought it really fit in with the colors.
Piece of muslim that I stamped Love & distressed the edges.

I hope you'll join us this week for our challenge.  You could be a possible winner & get a prize from our sponsor this week:

Eclectic Anthology

I've already checked out her website & it has some really nice digital designs.  Even some free ones!

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see your creation.  Go to Word Art Wednesday to link your project.

"Lovely" Baby Layouts

Let's Scrap has a double layout sketch every week.  I used some of my grand-girl pictures. The 2 pics on the left I printed in black & white.
The ones on the right showcase her sleeping, puckering to eat & smiling.  She's so adorable!

New Card & Layout

I love my new paper that I ordered.  Was so inspired by sketch 237 I did a new card-HUGS and a new layout-ADORABLE.    Isn't my nephew the cutest thing?  His picture was taken so many times when you said "Logan" he'd just face the person & smile!

Scrap That! September Challenge

Scrap That's challenge was to do a layout using a song title.  After listening to many of my CD's I picked Perfect Day by Lady Antebellum.  It talks about how we're busy living in a perfect day & living in the moment.  These pictures of a special day we had with some friends.  I apologize for the photos-I haven't figured out the best way to photograph.
I wanted the grass to look 3D-I drew it in with markers and then added cut paper that I highlighted with markers.

I created the sun by cutting a circle & then trimming it.  I used dimensional dots under it to give it a 3D look.  The orange, red & purple flowers are chipboard that I painted with acrylic paint.  The centers are of course-buttons.

The 3 little flowers are chipboard inked & then embossed with crystal embossing power.
