Button Challenge @ Craft Hoarders Anonymous

A challenge made for me!! BUTTONS!  Check it out at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.
Buttons are another thing I hoard!! There is a tiny sewing/craft shop in Rocky Mount, VA that I would spend hours going thru her buttons.  A nickel each.  I would sometimes spend $10 on buttons!! Shush!  Don't tell my husband!! LOL

My project today features a large pack of buttons purchased at Walmart.  They have fun and bright colors.
I love altering boxes.  The paper is from my stash-I won several sheets in a challenge.  Fits perfectly with my button theme.  To decorate some of the edges-I used some border punches.
After you gesso the edges of your box-inside & out-then you add your paper.  The lid was too tight, so I cut the one side of the lid and attached to the bottom of the box with E6000 glue. It forms a hinge. Works great!
I've decorated the sides of my box with multi colored buttons layered.  I usually put "feet" on the bottom of my box-in this case they are brown buttons!!

I've enjoyed this challenge very much.  The box will be going with me to a craft show tomorrow in Danville, Virginia.  Finished it just in time!

MFP Sketch w/a Twist "Wild West" Happy Birthday

Welcome to challenge 15 @ Mark's Finest Paper Speedy TV
MFP Speedy TV
I am guest designer for one of their weekly challenges: they have several so check them out!
Wild West Stamp Set   I stamped the image on Crumb cake with black stazon.  I lightly filled in some color with pencils.  I took some Tim Holtz distress ink and sponged around the edges and the whole thing.  The twist was to add buttons.  I had a chipboard tag -I glued Tim Holtz papers and sanded around the edges and then sponged distress ink. I heat embossed the birthday sentiment with black and added the buttons.  My ribbon is from Really Reasonable ribbon.  It grounds my image to the "road".  This has been a favorite stamp set ever since I got it. I didn't have a lot for men and this works perfect.  Please join us this week-you could win a prize!  Jump on over & see what Karen Letchworth has done for inspiration.

Black & White plus one

Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge was to use black, white plus one other color with RIBBON.
I've just recently gotten an order from them, so I've been using my new ribbon like crazy. I love it.

I've had this paper in my stash for awhile now. Not sure where it came from. The die & sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up.  My mom just gave me a lot of new buttons & the blue cord that I used.

I love how it turned out.

A Day in the Life-2 months old RRR45

The challenge was Buttons & Bows.  I received my order of Really Reasonable Ribbon order today & ran in my craft room to use it!  I used red burlap & some wide brown.

I pulled off 3 of the fibers on the burlap & used glossy accents to put them on the corner of this photo.  Then added my buttons, hand prints & creative memories letters "play". Brianna LOVES the mobiles.

The background red is stampin up textured 12x12 paper..  I used K&Co on the inside. I love their paper.  It's distressed on the edges.

I love Creative Memories letters.  The center pieces come out easily.  You can get multiple fonts.
